Mei-Rin would swear her heart stopped beating. She was sure her movement had been slight, unnoticeable… And the smell of the gunpowder? Even she, after so many years spent on the work with the guns, couldn’t smell it that well. He was too far to smell it… wasn’t he…? Wondering if there was any way of going back, she realized she still followed him, her body, like enchanted, acting on its own.

Once they found themselves in some parlour, she started looking around but before she memorized everything, she noticed the man pulling her somewhere. Blood hummed in her ears. “Where are you taking me?” she dared to ask.

✗ "To a friend. If only you were a little different... I'd have the pleasure of eating you." A snicker came from him; hands reaching into the pocket to withdraw the gun. "Ugh, this piece of shit stinks of gunpowder..." Dropping it off somewhere in the hall, he kicked her into the room. After hushed speaking with the man inside the room; the emerald haired man smirked. Pale fingers gripped her hair and tugged.

✗ "Today's your lucky day~. He's got quite a treat for you before you die. Isn't that nice? He feels giving today."

It was probably very foolish decision but Mei-Rin only nodded and after a while, she did the first step onwards. Her hand, however, went to her thigh, looking for a small bulge in the place where the gun was hidden. It calmed her down a little but that didn’t mean she trusted the other completely. Yet she had actually no other choice: either way she chose, the same dangers awaited.

✗ "Pull that gun out and I'll slit your neck where you stand. Don't think I can't smell the gunpowder." Oh; how smart of him. The threat was uttered quietly; so only she could hear. Weaving himself and her through a crowd, he walked into a smokey parlour of sorts. Inside was all sorts of people, men and women and even children. Yet whoever Kesp passed gave a bow or a salute; and if it was a child, they got a pat on the head.

✗ "Now... Where's daddy, Grista?" The emerald haired man knelt in front of a small girl with blue locks the color of the sky when it was clear. She answered him in his ear; and he nodded. After grabbing Mei Rin's wrist; he lead the human girl down a flight of stairs. "Don't think I forgot about that gun. Pull it, you die. Simple."

✗ "Unfortunately, you gave them enchanted bindings. I can smell the magic reeking off of them. So I can't. You rigged your little fucking game from the start, bitch."

✗ Kesp wanted to tear that heel away from her. Managing to move his head back far enough; teeth clenched around the heel and pulled. Surprisingly; it came off quite easily. In the spare time he had; he managed to spit it out far away -- unfortunately, it rotated during its flight and was spit hard enough to jab into a servant's leg, and stick.
