this blog is now on indefinite hiatus.  im currently too preoccupied with other things to find the time to come on here, and from here on out, i see that it’s likely i’ll have even less time to spend on these blogs of mine.  this may very well be a permanent goodbye message--  it’s fairly likely i won’t return to either of my blogs, though i will definitely continue to rp privately on skype and discord, so if you’d like to keep rping with me i would love for us to do something there!!  rping is something i love deeply, and my rp partners are irreplaceable to me, so i’ll definitely continue to do so privately.  

it was really a joy to be able to return as an active tumblr rper in a fun community after some years of absence, but i feel it’s time for me to explore new things, devote more time to other hobbies and work harder to keep up with irl.  if this is a permanent goodbye, i will miss you all so much...  to any and all of you, please feel free to add me on skype or discord if only just to chat, or to rp as well!  i’d love to keep in touch with everyone, even if we didn’t interact a lot, you are all wonderful ;o;  thank you for all the fun times.  it’s been so fun writing with you all.

Marik held the other’s gaze in a thoughtful stare.  The face of Ryou Bakura was one he associated with the malevolent spirit which it had once housed...  It was admittedly strange to lay eyes upon the very same pale features, but not the same soul beneath it.   ❝ — Ryou Bakura...  Hm. ❞   There was a cryptic sort of nonchalance about his tone, ingenuine--- but to what extent, uncertain.

      ❝ ...Does my presence surprise you? ❞   he questioned, sharp eyes set upon his company.  Despite choosing to remain in Domino for the time being, he hadn’t actually informed anyone but his siblings...  His reason for staying wasn’t really to make friends, after all--- soon enough, he’d be gone, cut ties with this place just as he had Egypt, and start his life anew.

The instant those rough hands were on him, Marik couldn’t stop himself from stiffening, gritting his teeth as he was slammed hard against the nearest wall.  It took barely a moment to compose to visibly compose himself, but only on the surface, as he was no less able to deny the uneasy pounding of his heartbeat and the sweat that beaded at his temples.  Even now... beneath every mask and every excuse he’d laid out for his own emotional responses, Marik knew that the reason this man held such power over him was because he could not bear to face him---  to face both his looming guilt and the beast he’d created from his trauma.

    ❝ — ...You’d do well to remove your filthy hands before you lose them, bastard. ❞   Unwavering and firm, his voice betrayed not a shred of weakness, such things hidden from sight where they would surely be forced to remain.

      ❝ — ....!! ❞   What was that?  A distant murmur in his head, a voice that was not his, and as if it had come from the mouth of someone at his back, Malik whipped his head around with panicked urgency to stare wide-eyed at the empty space behind him.  No one... it was nothing... right?  Dread sank to the pit of his stomach like an iron weight, entirely against his will.  This paranoia was, by now, unbecoming of him, yet at the same time, it felt entirely justified.  However, the other Malik was gone, had vanished since battle city, and there was no way it would return to him now.

Yugi’s company wasn’t something he’d originally kept by choice, but time had seemed to settle some of his remnant distaste, at least to the point of being willing to tolerate the boy should they happen to cross paths.  Perhaps Marik was a bit curious about the Pharaoh’s former vessel in spite of the contentment he’d once harbored for him as an extension of the man he’d spent years despising...  Thus, he prodded Yugi with questions, all for the sake of peering beneath his outer skin.  Undoubtedly, the topic he’d segued into was a sensitive one, and that much was intentional, the topic being the Pharaoh, himself.

      ❝ — .... ❞  He raised a brow.  The natural urge to gloat his own intuitive nature came and went, denied by self-control---  Marik was no fool.  He knew when he was being lied to, subtle and evasive as it was.  Had he touched a nerve?  Of course.  It was written all over Yugi’s face.   ❝ — I see... You’re stronger than you look, ❞  he lied.
