District One

Landon Lynn, here. I'm from District One, the district of Luxury. I volunteered for this years Quarter Quell, throwing my brother and me into the games. It should be a wild ride.

Have the sponsors not sent anything for the pain?

[numberonelandon]

I think we need to use this rain to our advantage and move. Everyone will be trying to find coverage, we should attack.

FACE TO FACE | KANDON.

[kittydistrictone]

[Smiles over at him whenever he places his hand on her back, letting a small smile come to her face.] I know. I’m really greatful that he was there because if he wasn’t then I would be in trouble. [Laughing a little when he scrunched up his nose, she tapped it with her finger.] You look like me when I try to not cry or I don’t like something. We can do that though, I’ll put some in the front of my suit since it’s off anyway. [Unties the arms off her waist then starts to put some into it before hearing something nearby.] Landon. What’s that?

[numberonelandon]

He's a good guy like that. [Moves his nose a bit like a bunny when she taps it] It's my I don't know what I'm doing face! Perfect, try not to like squish them too much or anything. You don't want berry juice all over you. [Snaps his head to the side just in time to Mike Change, District 3 Tribute coming from the bushes swinging a club over his head towards Kitty] Kitty! [Jumps at Mike tackling him to the ground and reaches to grab his sword. Mike quickly pushes him and struggles to get up before Landon has the chance to grab it. Landon grabs his legs and pulls the Mike towards him. Giving Landon size, it gives him an advantage over the skinny boy. Practically straddling him, Landon grabs at Mikes neck enclosing his hands around his neck, chocking him.] Keep an eye out for anyone else, Kitty! [Yells, as his eyes are locked onto Mike's as he slowly watches the life drain from them. Landon rolls to the side getting off the boy and stands. He hears the canon go off in the distance and nods in contentment.] Are you okay?

FACE TO FACE | KANDON.

I wish I could have gotten my hands on a bow and arrow. I wish I could have. If I could have we would have been great, but I got this beauty. [Points over to her arm that was wrapped up by Ryder.] Then Ryder pulled me away from everything before I could do more, but to be honest I think I was stuck. Good, we had better be. [Kitty looks over the bushes and berries before smiling a little while she pulled off some of them.] You can eat these. Have some. I actually spent some time at this station.

[numberonelandon]

[Places a had on Kitty's back as they made it to the bush] Hey, we can't turn back the time or anything, so don't wish. At least you're good and Ryder was there to..unstuck you. [Landon scrunches his nose] These? Okay. [Takes them from her hand and plopped them in his mouth and begins chewing.] Not too bad. Lets gather a bunch of everyone, yeah?

[numberonelandon]

FACE TO FACE | KANDON.

[kittydistrictone]

Ready as I’ll ever be. [Smiles over at Landon, turning to face him more before she started to walk with him] Right now, yeah. I mean, we can’t exactly go killing a random animal with expected time to eat it. We will be okay though, yeah?

[numberonelandon]

[Nods at Kitty, as they begin walking] I know. I'm kind of shocked by how little animals I've seen. I mean, I've seen a few birds but with no arrows, there not real easy to get. Oh, yeah, we'll be better than okay. [Smiles. They approach the bushes with the berries and Landon looks over them] Gotta admit, I'm not even sure which we can eat.

Ready? [Approaches Kitty, who is only a couple yards away] I feel like nothing can suffice this hunger I have, but I guess berries have to do, huh?

CORNUCOPIA | PROMPT 5

Character:  Landon Lynn.

Location: The Quarter Quell Arena.

Timeframe:  March 3rd.

General Notes: The games begin and Landon makes his way to the cornucopia. 

Once his stylist gave him a small pat to indicate Landon was already, Landon closed his eyes and took a deep breath. “Here we go.” Turning his neck side to side, a loud crack echoed from the room. He needed his body loose. He wasn’t sure what would await him on the surface and he had to be ready for anything. He need to be ready for the moment the countdown struck one and he was allowed to set off. He had to make it to the cornucopia and get himself some sort of weapon; he also knew that’s where he’d be able to meet up with members from his district. It would’ve been a shock to him if Ryder nor Kitty ran for a weapon as well.

When he began to rise up, he waited until he felt the sun beat down on him before opening his eyes. He took in the land before him. It was wet and marsh-y, it seemed the cornucopia was off in the distance in the middle of this.. swamp. His did his best to analyze the water without stepping of his spot, he wouldn’t want to find out what happened if he did that. It looked fairly shallow but the mud and plant life would surely make it difficult to run in. But if Landon got a good enough leap to start off with, it would help his chances at making it to the cornucopia quicker. It seemed like forever passed before the countdown began. Landon got a strong footing, ready to jump as soon as the buzzer went and they were allowed to take off. His eyes were kept on the cornucopia, at his goal.

The whole event went quickly. Adrenaline took over and Landon just pounced into action. The arena seemed to go quiet around him when he rushed his way the cornucopia. Everyone else seemed to be making their way, as well, Landon noticed as he took a quick glance around. Without wasting any time, Landon spotted a sword and claimed it in seconds. As soon as the sword was in his grasps it was like the rest of his senses kicked back in. His fingers wrapped around the handle, and he heard splashing and deep breathing behind him, approaching him quick. In one swift move, Landon turned around, eyed the boy and brought down his sword, slicing him from shoulder to opposite hip. Landon didn’t even take the moment to see who his first kill was. He had to get ready for the next. 

To the side, he noticed Ryder with Marley running off along with Kitty. He knew he needed to follow and set off after them. The four of them would be able to find any of the other's they needed for their alliance. At least they'd have each other. While running after them, he noticed in the corner of his eyes a boy on the ground after he had just tripped. He recognized the boy as an Abrams. Landon figured the less around the better, back tracking a bit, he ran over to the boy. "Hey do you need a hand?" Landon reached his hand out as if to help the boy, but when he reached out Landon chopped his sword down taking off his arm followed by his head before the kid could even make a noise. "Sorry, man, all in the games."

I have some water if you want some. Just came in this little bag thing. Thank you. I don’t want you to have to do that. 

I know. I haven’t gotten to talk to you much anyway so why not? Let’s go.

[numberonelandon]

I'd love some. Thanks, Kitty.  Well, lets hope we can find something I can kill and eat soon, so we won't have to resort to people.

I know. It'd be good to pick your brain.

[kittydistrictone]

You need some water? No eating people! No! Landon, no.

Do you want me to go with you? I could get everyone some berries?

[numberonelandon]

Do you have some, or are you just asking? Fine, no eating. I'll leave that to the other beasts in the arena.

That's a good idea. Four hands can carry more than two.

Who exactly would you eat though?

[numberonelandon]

I haven't really thought about it much. I know both those meaty chicks from 11 are gone, which sucks, so maybe I'll opt for some Asian. 

[kittydistrictone]

Landon. No.

Go find some berries or something out there or I can find you some.

[numberonelandon]

I wasn't going to eat you, Kitty. I was thinking of the plumper tributes.

I'm going, I'm going.

Can we eat people? I mean, I'm not one for cannibalism but I'm starting to get hungry and I need some meat and protein.

Wow. Color me impressed.

Okay, then, I had a nice conversation with my victorious mother.

It seems like a world wind of good news decided to pay me a visit.

I am fairly well educated, thank you very much. Don't you think spitting insults may get you into some trouble?
