birthday gift for katsudei from jjba ask, I really had a blast working on this picture and the crossover idea, any hypothetical meeting with Luce in the JoJo setting has HUGE ONE-SHOT POTENTIAL??? At the very least, given the potential for this encounter to be bizarre
Christmas present for Diego
Welp struggling with widescreen images every time I posting in tumblr. I protect every inch and every pixel tbh
Thought one: Diego would actually be better suited to the image of Maurice Gerald than the Headless Horseman himself, but Halloween implies that we simply need to be creepy, right? So we're transported to the final (spoiler alert) arc of Part 7 and pretending that the ghost of the horseman is wandering the steppes between Philadelphia and New York City in search of his killer.
Thought two: if the realities of Part 7 overlapped our historical process, I guarantee that one of the elder Joestars would have personally known Mayne Reid, because he's a well-known guy both in America and Ireland. In fact, the novel's concept is a synthesis of folklore and legend from the Mexican-American War. I also like the fact that he was closely associated with Edgar Allan Poe.
I think Diego really wanted to meet Mayne Reid in his youth, but he probably didn't live long enough to see Diego's rise to fame (he died in 1883).
I'd also like to believe that Diego's origins are somehow connected to Ireland or something like that, but that's a third thought, beyond the scope of this post.
