Misanthrope I

In a shell I took home from years ago My 'chums' look dumb from head to toe They never listen or talk good Gossiping, brains made of bricks and wood I wonder if this falsehood would end There's nobody here I could befriend

Hymn of the Earth

Hymn of the earth Arose from the dirt. I heard its words sung by hummingbirds as they flew over me. Came across a heard Grazing goats with beards. Up their heads jerked despised and alert. they left passing me I heard a sudden yelp, "oh please please help", the birds gave loud chirps Were they disturbed by something behind me? I ran back to the forest's other side Saw a river and a horse so white he called me over, showing no fright, said, "O Boy, you gotta leave, we will come alright" I could not understand I said, "If I could I lend ye a hand?" He said, "If you would, check the river. Before it stands reasons to quiver". Firmly I assured him, "Fine, I'll go see that grim". I strode to the shore, My heart was quickly torn I saw nothing at all- but my figure! Oh yea, It is, it's just my figure It came clear, Man is Nature's killer More than a reason to quiver I came alone Their home I've blown And I have never known Earth is not my own Howls of the earth Arose from the dirt I have heard its words Hummed by hummingbirds as they flew exiling me Nuran Lamei - ScrappySketches
