So, yeah. This 16-panel beast was an idea that I had as a way to chronicle what was pretty much ALL of the month of April for me, as I regularly checked and rechecked my email, waiting for the National Cartoonists Society to announce who the nominees were this year. At the end, I GOT the nomination in my category, which is STILL mind-blowing to me, but for a solid MONTH I was in a fairly deep pit of anxiety that I HAD to chronicle in the comic. :) And in spite of how dense this strip is, it was a LOT of fun to draw and only still took about 2 and a half hours to ink and color.

I found a pond to cool the day Beneath the sun’s relentless ray No grand escape, no ocean wide Just this small pond, my cooling tide So let the pond my spirit mend And find my joy that has no end
Galladrabbles: Refresh
Thanks, @energievie, for this week's @galladrabbles prompt! I hope you can find some relaxation and calm as the year unfolds.

Ian hit F5 again.
One minute left. He added fifty dollars to his bid.
3…2…1…
Yes. Ian won the auction.
That black-haired, blue-eyed handyman would be his. Uh, for a day.
Ian smiled and started his to-do list.
Hello, my lovelies ☺️
I've been a bit MIA lately. 2026 hasn't treated me very kindly so far and I hope it'll have a change of heart soon.
That's why, when pondering what to pick as a prompt, I've been naturally drawn to "re-" words. Restart. Reset. In the end, I settled on

You know, F5? That would be my take, though, perhaps you have a different one. I'm curious to see what comes to mind 😊
Happy drabbling, my darlings!
