I'm Nurm. You might recognise me as the partner of famous adventurer Jack.. you might not, and that's fine, too. I ran the map shop alongside him in Beacontown—past tense, considering the new job I've unwittingly been given.
That doesn't matter. I'm not in a good place right now.. none of us are. I won't detail too much, but if you've been keeping up to date with Beacontown, you may be able to tell why.
I'm not quite sure what this is.. but it seems like a good way to collect my thoughts. Feel free to chat. I could use some pleasant company.

Hello! This is a roleplay blog for my Associate Nurm AU! I've always wanted to make an MCSM askblog, and lately I've had the idea to make one of one of my AUs, of one of my favourite characters. Naturally I eventually caved and made this.
This AU takes place during Jailhouse Block: after deeming Jack his Champion, Romeo decides to send Nurm to everybody's favourite (prison) reformatory, the Sunshine Institute. Rather than having him a Guest, he instead "recruits" him to be a part of his esteemed workforce, with the intention of garnering more control over (mostly) Jack and Jesse's group as a form of leverage. Nobody is happy about this, especially Nurm, who's grappling with very conflicting feelings about how to handle his "job", and most importantly ensure Jack's safety (which will come up a bit later).
It seems that time appears to be out of order around here.. some posts may be inconsistent time period wise, and shifts between events in the story may happen. It really all depends on the kind of ask I get and how I feel like answering it.
Please note that this AU is still developing, and I don't have a fully set timeline for events or a comprehensive detail of everything that happens in the story—this blog is also intended to help me develop ideas. Also, a lot of my headcanons for Nurm will be present here, though I'll try to keep him within character.
Formatting may vary sometimes, but most of the time, it'll be as if he's using the app. Nurm's text will be in green, and mine will be in the default.
I'll try my best to answer every ask to the best of my ability. I will not answer NSFW asks, or anything that makes me uncomfortable (some suggestive asks are fine).

Considering how desperately she's been attempting to get on his good side, I don't think she has much to offer in terms of company or help. Besides, I highly doubt someone like that would be willing to learn or understand Villagerese. I have no reason to interact with her.
I'd rather not be down there, either. The entire area seems repugnant, and being surrounded by that many zombies is far too risky for me.

Have you interacted with any associates that could be of assistance? Are you on a particular level, actually..? I'm trying gauge your situation a bit more here.
Are you the only one who is an associate out of you and your friends, then? I know you said you're not to interact with them, so I assume as much...but...just checking.

I haven't interacted with any others, no. As far as I know, they willingly chose to be promoted to this status. I don't have any reason to trust or interact with them, nor can I even be sure that they'll understand me regardless.

Nurm would see the Warden through the glass of the window, muttering to himself and shaking his head. Thanks to his trail of gaze, no doubt.
He'd squeeze his eyes shut momentarily, then sigh, furrowing his brow slightly. A quick glance back to the window and he'd find the Warden with that singular, cold stare again, now backing into the darkness of his office once more. Typical.
Nurm would turn back and cross his arms, leaning against the wall. Holding a sweeping view of the area, yet focused on nobody in particular.
Okay guys so yk how I've mentioned I'm really bad at art. I still am but I was plagued with visions bc I was talking about nurmack (Nurm x Jack) w my husband and he made a comment about them having rings so uh. I drew them wedding bands. Enjoy.
