I never really grew up

The blonde nodded, "Just get a shopping cart. I'm sure walking down these aisles I'll see a million things I'll want. Seems like I always do lately. " Jada commented then laughed. "Oh did I tell you that Riot was saying we will have twins?" She asked. "I told him he was out of his mind and he didn't need to talk like that. " she said with a laugh as her hand went down to her stomach. Then she moved her free one to stop him. She turned slowly to him and pressed her lips softly to his for a moment then let go to continue walking once more. "Sorry I needed a little pick me up. "

 “They won’t get diabetes, they might come out a little chunky but that mean’s it’s more of them to love.” Ryder joked, bumping her lightly. “That’s my job, I have to make sure you’re stress free, it’s whats best for you, and what’s best for our kid.” He smiled, pressing a kiss to her head. “I love you too, now let’s go get your sherbert.”

“A little fat baby, wouldn’t that be so cute.” Jada admitted with a smile. She tangled her hand with his and walked through the store with him. “okay, let’s find it.” she said looking around the aisle.

 Mackenzie gently rubbed Jada’s back to help sooth her. “You’re welcome.” She let go of her hair and stepped back to make room for her so she could stand up. “So how long does morning sickness last?”

“I’m not sure, I think sometimes it goes away in the third trimester for some. Let’s hope I am that lucky.” she admitted.

 “You’re right, not everyone does. But, sometimes it happens, and when it does you can’t continuously blame yourself for that.” she told her quietly. “What you think you deserve, and what you know you deserve are two separate things. You might feel like you don’t, but you could deserve it.”

She looked at the girl and smiled softly. “thank you, for being so understanding. I wish I could look at it like that.” she admitted.

 “Fine. When the time comes and you need a babysitter I’ll take care of the little squirt. I babysat Kelsey’s babies and I did a damn good job if I do say so myself.”

“You got it, you will be the first to babysit.” she smiled. “You will be a grand uncle. I have seen you with the twins, you are a natural.”

 “Wow”

“If you are here to judge me feel free to leave.”

“I’m turning twenty eight in two weeks and I think I’m having a midlife crisis about it.”

[nursejada]

“It is alright, you look lovely. I am right close behind you. We look wonderful and we feel like we are 16.” she teased.

[nursejada]

 River nodded as the older woman explained, sighing inwardly before she spoke; now understanding why she was upset. “I can’t speak about this situation, because I’ve never been through this— But that was then, and this is now. Everyone makes mistakes.” she told her softly, “And you do deserve it. You can’t just forget it, or magically feel better; but you can make sure you don’t make the same choices.”

Jada listened to the girl. “Everyone might make mistakes, but everyone doesn’t make mistakes that ends a life.” she said sadly. “I know, I just can’t help but think that this isn’t something I deserve.”

 This one?  Theres more than one?

“Yes.” she said softly.

 “Why not? You could ask my mum for tips on how to handle twins.”

“I think I will do good to handle just one, Ri.”

“Your past doesn’t define your future though.”

[nursejada]

“I know it doesn’t, but it doesn’t make me feel any better.”

 Ryder held her hand securely and headed through the parking lot towards the front doors, nodding. “You know you can have whatever you want and not feel guilty about it. After all, it’s cravings yeah?”

Jada held tightly onto his hand. “I know, but I try to still eat decently healthy I don’t want to give our baby diabetes or what not.” she explained Then she smiled. “you always have a way of making me feel better about everything. I love you.”

Ryder nodded his head and took a right turn to go towards the Walmart, they would be open at this time. A small smile was on his face before responding to her earlier response. “Well grab as much as you want because you are the only one I’m allowing to do so and you know it.” He said with a small laugh. “What kind do you want?”

When the arrived she got out and connected with him at the front of the car taking his hand tightly. “Hum, maybe something that is sherbet. That way I won’t feel as guilty.”

 “There have been instances where it’s not picked up on an ultrasound.”

“Don’t you wish that one me. I don’t need two.”

[nursejada]

 River gave the woman a confused look, tilting her head slightly as she spoke. “Why don’t you deserve to be pregnant?” she questioned, hoping she wasn’t over stepping the bounds. “You deserve it.. and if something’s wrong, it’ll be okay. With today’s technology, they’ll figure something. But, nothing will go wrong. You have to have that faith, it’ll be okay.”

Jada looked over the girl and sighed. “It is a long story.” she admitted. “The thing is I was pregnant once.. and well I let my mother influence me into a bad choice. I have regretted it since day one.” she admitted. “I just feel like I don’t deserve all this.”

 “Jada, this is an exciting time. You should be happy. Why would you ever think that you don’t deserve a baby?”

“i know I should, but some things happened in college and I just- I don’t deserve this happiness.”

[nursejada]

 “You deserve to be pregnant, why would you say that?” Chasity asked, tilting her head, “You and Ryder are going to be great parents.”

“I just have a bad history.. with all this.” she explained.
