Last day at CHOP! Couldn’t have done it without these two ladies plus the many more! I’m thankful for this amazing experience and being able to become confident in a hospital setting !

Clinical Reflection
My last day of clinical at CHOP will be this Sunday, I am more than grateful to have had the opportunity to learn in this hospital. I am grateful to know more now than I did at the beginning of the semester, I am beyond excited to continue my education this summer!
Remote Learning
COVID has affected us all in one way or another, and not many of those outcomes have been positive. However, as future nurses, we must learn to adapt to the circumstances and make the best out of a bad situation!
- Keep a planner/journal/calendar that you check every day. Make sure to check your email and classes at least every morning and night. Try not to procrastinate!
- Wake up at a set time every morning and try to go to bed around the same hour every night. Set a time to stop working and worrying.
- Take every opportunity you get. We’re in an accelerated program and are missing out on a lot of hands-on learning, so jump on every chance to practice and refine your skills.
- Remember to take care of yourself: eat properly, hydrate throughout the day, maintain personal hygiene, and get a good night’s sleep. It’s easy to forget about these things when you’re sitting at a computer all day.
- Set aside time every day to relax or do something you enjoy. It’s the only way to stay sane.
- Don’t be too hard on yourself, too. None of this is normal - if we can get through this, we can pretty much do anything.
It’s okay 💛
It’s okay to be frustrated at the endless amounts of homework and Prep U’s you’ve done. It’s okay to cry after failing an exam you pulled an all nighter studying for. It’s okay to feel left out when all of your friends are going out on a saturday night and you’re home surrounded by textbooks and notes. Take a deep breath and stand still for a minute. Forgive yourself and show yourself patience, because YOU’RE STILL LEARNING. I know it may seem impossible right now but your determination, perseverance, and dedication are what are going to get you through this!
April Journal
There is less than a month left to go for this semester. This was a very challenging part of the year, but I am happy I am able to learn new things along the way!
Second to last day of Peds clinical! What a great experience thus far. I am so grateful for the opportunity of being able to get hands on experience!
Halfway through the semester and everythings going great so far! The pediatric exam was so overwhelming (iykyk), but im so glad its over. Here’s a pic of me and my lab pals from yesterday’s skills lab for Med Surg! Can’t wait for May.
Day One
Today starts the very first day of the spring semester. To say that I’m overwhelmed and stressed would be an understatement. The first week/weeks are always the most overwhelming. There is information being thrown at you from all different directions from multiple classes and it can all get to be a lot. I sit here staring at my laptop as if I had never left. Winter break was over within a blink of an eye and I’m right back to my desk and my long days of studying. I know this semester is one of the harder ones, and I feel that I am as prepared as I’m gonna be for that, but I hope that with all my efforts comes success and achievements. I’m looking forward to meeting new people and seeing familiar faces! I’m also very grateful to have met the group of friends that I have through this program, from the very first day. I’m ready to take on this semester one day at a time and work my very hardest to achieve the goals I have set for myself.

These Ladies!!! Wouldn't be able to survive nursing school without them ❤️🩺
January Journal
It’s almost the end of January and I definitely feel overwhelmed. I always knew Nursing School was going to be tough, but being in an accelerated program makes certain things harder. The beginning of this Spring Semester is not so bad. I’m really looking forward to my Pediatric clinical this semester! I can’t wait to finally apply what I learned last semester into the real world.
