Du Tonc - Every Song

En dépit de le nom de ce duo de Matt Van Schie et Mighty Mouse, les deux ont peu de français dans leur sang. Avec Matt de Australie et Mighty Mouse du Yorkshire, les deux gardent la disco vivant dans ce morceau "Every Song". Éléments de Nu-Wave sont trés courant avec le ligne bass comme le band Visage. Avec choeurs constants, fans de Alphaville la savoureraient malgré la différence dans le temps et genre. Il ancien collègue de Matt Van Schie, Touch Sensitive, a déclaré c'est la chanson préférée en ce moment, et je suis entièrement d'accord avec lui. Maintenant nous avons besoin de un album de Du Tonc, o un autre de Van She (Matt Van Schie et Touch Sensitive)(ce serais impressionnant).

Lana Del Rey - Brooklyn Baby (Yuksek Remix)

En ce moment je ne peux pas avoir assez de Yuksek. Il est de loin mon producteur préfére aujourd'hui. Son production a évolua de Electro Francais basique, a disco plus plein, riche, et spacieux. Actuellement, il a travaillait en son troisième album, et récemment il ne fais pas beaucoup des remixes. Mais quand ce Lana Del Rey eu venu a son bureau, il ne pouvait refuser. Mais j'espererais l'ecouter sur son album aussi.

I don't know how long these guys have been around, but I regret all the time I haven't been listening to them. They're from Sydney, Australia, and are twins who were born 14 minutes apart, hence the name. They're fucking good. Like, Gigamesh good.

Words of advice from Justin Faust

A while ago, Justin Faust tweeted these beautiful 5 stages to making a track. I just had to hunt them down to show a friend so I thought I'd put it someplace where I can find it easier. 

You know how there's 5 stages of grief? Turns out, there's also 5 stages of making a new track - and I'm gonna show them to you.

Stage 1: you fiddle around with ideas, stuff comes together, sounds great. Add more stuff, even better, wow you're amazed, this is killer!

Stage 2: as you add more stuff, the mix gets messy and shittier. You try to mix it down better but it gets worse instead. Fuck.

Stage 3: the next day you listen again. It's the worst piece of music ever. Cry wank in the shower, xanax, alcohol.

Stage 4: you take all your courage and play the demo next time you're DJing. People dance to it and like it. Must be a bunch of lunatics.

Stage 5: you send the track to the label, they don't react, cry wank, xanax, alcohol .. and then: they like it! release, fame, bitches, $$$.

80's are the future...cop

Futurecop! releases, what I thought to be their "Dreams" song's video, now more appropriately named "The Only Way"...

I saw these guys bout 3 years ago maybe? at the Rhythm Room in Phoenix. I think me my uncle and a friend were the only ones dancing/singing (on the 21- side, but we still went more HAM than the old 21+'s). As seen in this picture. 

Anyways, these guys are definitely a big influence on the HipKno Funk project when it comes to reviving the 80s. Here they give you a preview of their compilation "We Are the Future" to be released June 5th 2012. Artists include, Anoraak, Lifelike, and Fear of Tigers (all of which you can hear on our Chillin in the 80s Mix as well!(which was made first, ahem, *hipster cough*)).

Summer's back, which meanas I'll be gettin pretty bored again. I strayed a bit and started doin lots of rebloggin but now to get this blog back on track. Movies and music.

Since I've started DJ'ing again (GITTIN PAID CHYEEUH) it'd only be appropriate to start posting my favorite tracks again since on Facebook nobody could give two shits unless its WUB WUB WUB WUBWWUBWUBWUBWUBWOWOOWOWOOWWWWEEKEKKEKEKEEKEKEEE i.e. Cinema Skrillex remix or BUBUBBUBUBBBBAHHHHHH (hype horn).

So to get back into the mood here's Theophilus London's Love is Real. I downloaded the Fred Falke remix first and fell in love with it, just youtubed the original and it ain't bad either. So enjoy.
