Ny’ari found enjoyment in this little charade they had going on and decided to continue it, a knowing grin staying on her face as he took the two of them to the dance floor. Not that it needed to be mentioned in any way but the heels she had worn with her dress did cause their height difference to become slightly greater, not enough to hinder him from taking the leading role however. Her unoccupied hand found its way to his shoulder as her steps matched his own, the two of them moving in time with the music amongst the other various guests doing the very same. Her eyes stayed on his as opposed to her own feet, not wanting to fumble over them. She had done good so far, it just needed last a little while longer.  “You’re very kind and quite handsome yourself, sir. Not to mention oozing with charm if you don’t mind my saying so. Is this your first dance this evening?”

Ny'ari had long since abandoned her golden hand held mask, in turn exposing her identity to all the attendees. Not that she minded. The elf watched Varric approach her before he stooped down into a bow. Honestly, having him approach her was a bit of a relief. Even if she wasn't technically supposed to know who he was.

A smile grew with the press of his lips to the back of her hand before her opposite hand gathered some of the green fabric of her dress, giving him a curtsy in return.

"The honor would be all mine, good Sir.~"

The knot from the build of pleasure was already forming, coiling itself up for her eventual release. Ny'ari opened her eyes to watch him from beneath her lashes, her gaze clearly full of lust for the man between her legs. She quickly caught onto the way his hand slowly crept up her leg, finding it's place on her sensitive clit which caused her body to jolt lightly.

“Yeah I think we should, you know?” he said, smiling, “I know I would love to have someone else to bug when I don’t want to do First work and my sister does.”

“I’m not always super busy so feel free to come ‘bug’ me any time.” She had put the word bug in air quotes because Ferenc had yet to do that. His presence was always welcomed by Ny'ari.

The huntress found herself smiling at the other, simply admiring him as they sat together.

“Your tone sounds an awful lot like a challenge, but… we’ll… see…” Ferenc said with a dramatic glare and a smirk that pushed his cheekbones high enough to give away the imminent laughter he was holding back, “You and I have slightly different outlooks on responsibility

"Well.. It makes sense that our views would be different. You arguably have a more important job than I do. Not saying that hunting isn't important but First has a lot more work to be done."

She needed the hug from him. She hadn’t realized how touch starved she was until that very moment because that gesture was one of the greatest feelings she had felt in quite some time.

“I’m glad you’re both back here.. We’ll have to make up for lost time.”

“Oh,yeah, loads of drinking and… drinking and… umm.. climbing trees? Not at the same time, though, I would hope,” Ferenc smiled, almost with mischief, “I know you and Shar’laith take your responsibilities seriously enough that you wouldn’t want to break anything any time soon.”

"No. If I'm climbing a tree while drunk and something isn't chasing after me, get me down." Ny'ari laughed before downing a large gulp of her mead.

"But really... I would love to spend more time with the both of you. Even outside drinking and climbing." She said, giving him a gentle nudge.

“It was a tough situation,” Ferenc said, placing a hand on Ny’ari’s shoulder, “And being away from the clan is… I’ll tell you, before I knew what was happening to Shar’laith, the Circle was already painful, I never knew I would miss every single person here. Every single ritual, even the waking up and eating breakfast. It must be painful but… I can’t say I am not glad you didn’t stay around.”

Ny'ari appreciated the hand on her shoulder and lifted her eyes to meet his, listening to his every word. It did help to hear that she was wanted here and that her staying wasn’t done in vain.

“I’m glad to hear that you enjoy me being here.. I couldn’t see as many benefits of leaving with them as there was for staying here.. I do hope to see them again soon though.”

“I’m sure you will, familial love has a strength to it that is almost similar to magic. I think if it can make you listen to someone talk about how the Halla have an intelligence we do not understand for four hours, it can transcend distances,” Ferenc smirked, “Just remember we need you around here, both as a talented hunter and as a drinking partner.”

Ny'ari hugged Ferenc gently for a few moments, letting out a sigh she didn't even know she was holding in as she did so. Her eyes shut she remained there, drink in hand behind his back.

"Thanks Ferenc..." Her voice was soft.

“I have absolutely no doubts about that. You take good care of Shar'laith from what I’ve seen and heard. She’s very lucky to have you for a brother and friend.” Ny'ari smiled, watching his fingers moved through his dreads.

Then he asked about her siblings… Her mood dropped and she looked away from them.

“Yeah… I just.. I miss them..”

Ferenc had known he might have been towing a line when he asked, but he had seen no other way to get to know her… maybe help her, “Makes a lot of sense,” he said, “Some people naturally drift away from their families, for some of them it’s better that way. But having your brothers taken away like that must have been tough.”

"....." Ny'ari was quiet, the memories of her mother and father officially splitting apart, her brothers going with their mom while she stayed here. Her eyes stayed lowered to the ground, her ears less perky than they normally were.

"It was hard... It was hardly fair either but I couldn't convince her otherwise... And I already had my place here..." Part of her felt responsible for not going with them and for not being able to change her mother's mind.

Spent her time reading botanical books and climbing the highest trees so no one would see her sleep for hours. But she’s getting better. And the bees help, I guess.”

“I can understand why she would do that.. I’m glad to hear she’s starting to be able to get through a hard time in her life..” She looked it her glass, gently swirling the liquid around inside.

“What’s your thing against bees about though?”

Ferenc took another deep drink, but laughed, “I have nothing against bees! I just spend a lot of time with Da’Shar, and she spends a lot of time with bees, so I spend a lot of time with bees,” he chuckled, “And yeah they are nice but they are also bees. They don’t do much. Best part of Shar’laith being better is that she’s back to spending tons of time with the Halla. So now it’s half bees half Halla.”

"I can imagine that the Halla are much more entertaining than the bees are, huh? Still... It's nice of you to support her love for them in your own ways." Ny'ari let out a soft giggle.
