I’m starting to be of the belief that farm life is too much for me. Now I know what you’re thinking…Hil, you’re only thirty-seven. How could you possibly feel as if you’re too old to be doing the whole ‘owning a farm thing’? It’s not just the whole owning and operating a farm thing, it’s the having young kids who also live on the farm thing. Not only do they try to constantly undo all the hard work that I do, but they also think it’s absolutely hilarious to dye the dogs’ fur while my back is turned. I can’t even begin to count how many baths I have given to the dogs this week alone. The plus side of all of this, you ask? A slice of heaven away from the cameras, prying eyes, and fast-paced city life. Despite all the choas, I couldn’t be happier.
That’s when you make the decision to hire a couple people to come work for you and take the load off with the farm. I’m sure it would be much easier on you and you’d be able to get more done in the longrun. But then again, I don’t have kids and I’ve never lived on a farm. So I have no idea what really goes into it in order to make it function properly. But from the sounds of it, you’re super woman being able to juggle all of that.

I gotta admit that it was very hard leaving Florida a few days ago to move to Bayview. Not because I wasn’t excited about moving here, because I was…I am very excited to be here and having my own place again. But because my mom has been spoiling the hell out of me and I haven’t really had to lift a finger cooking or cleaning in months because she was just so excited about having her two favorite girls in her home, which is me and my daughter. Now I gotta cook and clean again, plus unpack, and I’m not looking forward to any of that. I just want to be lazy for a little bit longer, that’s not a bad thing right? Hi there though, I’m Candice King and even though part of me wishes I was still being spoiled by my mom, I am excited to be here! | @townofbayview
I can’t say I blame you. With the warm weather in Florida and getting spoiled by your mum, I wouldn’t want to leave either. But unfortunately all good things have to come to an end sooner or later. Plus I’m sure your mum would love you and your daughter to go back and visit sometime soon. That way you can have a mini vacation over there while getting spoiled. I’m Niall though. It’s nice to meet you. What part of town did you move into?

Hey there, so: I’ve taken up making cheese recently and I figured that I should probably put a little ‘PSA’ out there for any of you budding… cheesemakers…? Fromagers? Anyway, the cheese tastes great, don’t get me wrong, but making it? It’s like wrestling but with temperature. I had to watch it, like some sort of prison guard for literal hours making sure it didn’t escape the temperature range only for it betray me and almost curdle whilst I was eating lunch. Cheese making may be my calling, but I’m gonna have to give pursuing a career in it a hard no.
Now that’s off my chest: Hi I’m Seamus Dever, professional cheese maker, I mean, actor. I’m new in town.
I’ve never heard of anyone taking up making cheese as a hobby. But it sounds interesting. I mean, cheese just so happens to be one of my favorite things in the world. How exactly do you go about making cheese anyway? I’m Niall by the way. I’ll expect some of your homemade cheeses to be delivered to my front door sometime soon.

Okay, I may, or may not have spent my Easter Sunday in an outfit I stole from the set of The Witcher. Don’t judge me, it’s a souvenir, just incase I end up being booted off the cast. Seriously though, some of Yennefers dresses are so beautiful. I’m half tempted to start borrowing them for award shows. It’d get more people talking about The Witcher right? It’d be like I’m constantly promoting the show. Sorry for my rambling, as you can tell, procrastinating has turned me into one of those people who constantly rambles about uninteresting stuff. @townofbayview
I’ve yet to see the show you’re talking about, so I have no idea how these dresses look. But regardless, I’m sure you looked beautiful and you’d be able to pull it off at any event. Next awards season, everyone is going to be wondering who you’re wearing. You’ll be a walking advertisement for the show at all times.

Okay so I’ve recently, really rather recently decided that it was a smart idea to take up serious cooking. And I was like Kaz you are how many years young, you should be able to cook yourself a decent meal rather than you know always getting take out or making the simplest of dishes right? So here I am at my house trying to do a simple recipe, Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars , the recipe was easy it was simple and I set everything up and it was all good and happy right? No! Wrong I fell asleep whilst baking them and they came out in the blackest, darkest, burnt pieces of cookies. So lessons I have learned from this journey, A, never bake alone and B, always make sure you are alert enough and C, do it earlier in the day after you have had a full pot of coffee. Likely staying with my boyfriend a few days because it reeks in here of burned cookies and caramel. @townofbayview
Well at least you tried something new. I say you should give it a go again. But next time be sure you set some kind of timer or alarm. Otherwise you’re just asking for them to get burnt.

I heard somewhere that Gaelic football is a real thing, so I thought, what better way to find out than to ask an Irishman? Do you have your own version of football or what? I’m really curious to know, because that’s the first time I’ve heard of it and I’m old. @nxhoran
It is a thing! But I don’t think it’s really common in any place other than Ireland. I pay more attention to football, or soccer as you Americans call it. That and also golf are the two sports I pay attention to the most. Golf a little more so since I can play it more frequently without messing up my knee any further.
maxthieriotbv:
It really is about the simple things in life. Like you don’t need a tablet or whatever to have a good time. A good mud puddle or dirt is all you need. My boys do get tablet time but it’s limited and maybe an hour a day for my older boy. Same I have them from growing up on a farm and at the winery. My boys get the same thing and I love it.
I couldn’t agree more. I think being our age, we were able to enjoy both equally. Because I do remember having friends come over and playing video games together. But we also rode our bikes around town and had plenty of stories about scraping our knees and just being kids. You grew up on a farm and winery? That sounds pretty amazing.
maxthieriotbv:
Why not? But good thing you did play in the mud and everything. I think every kid needs to do that. But it’s good for kids to get out and get dirty it makes you a kid. So far so good, even if it’s only been a couple days.
Some of the best memories I have as a kid were playing outside with my brother and some of our friends from the neighborhood. I think every kid needs that kind of experience in their lives. Nowadays I feel like most kids just stay inside and occupy their time with video games and social media. So I’m glad we’re lucky enough to say we have the fun memories of getting down and dirty outside while playing.
I see us in Black and White, crystal clear on a star lit night, in all your gorgeous colors / I promise that I’ll love you for the rest of my life
maxthieriotbv:
So I spent most of the week moving in and unpacking and crap before my sons arrived. I mean I’m not done unpacking yet but I got enough done me and my boys can be happy. But soon as my boys get here they run around finding their rooms and stuff and very cute. But my older boy Beaux goes to look outside and my yard is a mess since I’m changing it and he ran right out and into a mud hole. I had to laugh, he laughed his brother laughed. After that his brother jumped into the mud hole and then me, so we all had a mud fight and made a big mess. But it was well worth it.
I don’t think I’ve ever gotten into a mud fight before as a kid. Although my brother and I used to get dirty and end up with grass stains all over our clothes from playing together outside. Welcome to town though! How are you and your boys liking it here so far?
cnadearmas:
I’ve been trying to come up with new things to do so I can avoid unpacking even more, but I’m running out of options. Tried doing a Gordon Ramsay recipe – almost burnt my brand new apartment down. Tried to do the laundry – got too distracted by my dog. Kidding, I used the last one as an excuse. Seriously, though, I am even considering starting my own Tiktok account, at this point. It’s not my fault, I just want to be one of the cool kids. Hey, I’m Ana. I just moved here and I’m already procrastinating. How’s that for a good first impression?
Unpacking is the worst. As long as you have all the essentials unpacked, I’d say you deserve the rest of the day to chill out and relax a little bit. Although it sounds like ordering some food is the best idea for you, since we don’t want your apartment to burn down or anything. I have to say, Tik Tok is the best source of entertainment when you’re bored. I’ll endlessly scroll for hours sometimes and lose track of time entirely. But I’m Niall. Welcome to Bayview!

To make the hassle of airport travel a bit less daunting today, I decided to have myself a day of pure, uninhibited relaxation at any opportunity I had. Why hassle myself further when I’ve got to run about an airport in the midwest with carryons and my neck pillow, anyway? Decided for me, at the airports, that looked like buying the nearest true crime book, some jelly babies and stretching my legs out in a safe space where no pedestrian’ll trip over them on accident whilst running to catch their own flight. So, now, dearest Bayviewians, I beg of you the question – what does a day of pure, uninhibited relaxation look to you? I hope to hear loads of hydration included in this. Also, ‘ello, I’m Tom, and I’m the greatest advocate you’ll ever meet for the bountiful benefits of H2O. Yes, I had acne as a teen. Yes, it cured it and I haven’t shut my trap about it ever since.
Those days of nothing but relaxing are always appreciated. Especially if you have other things going on that are stressing you our or weighing on you. I think it depends on my mood sometimes. There are days when you wake up and you just want to be lazy and spend the day in bed. So I’ll order some of my favorite junk food and have a cheat day from the gym. And of course I’ll pick out some new movies to watch or a new show to dive into. Other days I like to clear my mind in the gym and listen to some music. Also sitting in front of the piano or strumming on my guitar are the greatest forms of relaxation for me.

perhaps, buying a nintendo switch before making a big ‘ol move wasn’t my best idea yet. i’ll say it. as we speak, i’m knee-deep in boxes.. like — literally you all, these boys are stacked — and the only things i’ve managed to successfully do in my ‘real life’ are find approximately a week’s worth of clothes that survived the move unwrinkled, place the piano, and unbox the pasta maker. my island in animal crossing: new horizons, on the other hand, is blooming —- except new people keep moving in, and it’s stressing me out. i can’t afford all these new bridges to make getting around easier! they might just have to use their vaulting poles to get across the river forever, because i’m overwhelmed. is this what the people that manage this place feel like? the whole town’s a beaut. they’ve gotta’ be driving themselves nuts trying to figure out how to accommodate everyone that wants to call this cute ‘lil slice of heaven home. anyway —– if anyone needs this new yorker, he’ll be trying to make homemade fettucine.. with a pasta maker.. but without having unpacked any of his kitchen utensils.. so, uh, yeah. stay tuned. // @townofbayview
I actually just ordered a Nintendo Switch from Amazon not too long ago. As a matter of fact, it should be delivered any day now. I figured so many people were hyping up Animal Crossing, I wanted to see what all the hype was about. Not to mention, there’s a bunch of other games I want to play on there for nostalgia’s sake. I have no idea how to play Animal Crossing or what to even do. I’ve seen people talking about visiting other people’s towns or islands and I know you have to collect things like fish or plants. But that’s the extent of my knowledge. Once I get my Switch and the game, you’re going to have to give me a crash course on what the hell I’m doing. However, it sounds like you have your priorities in order. Clothes, the piano, and the pasta maker are all the essentials you need in addition to your games. I’ll be sure to invite myself over for pasta night.

I’m finally all moved in and ready to see what Bayview is all about. I’ve heard how great it is countless times so I have very high expectations. Hopefully, it won’t be disappointing. If it is…then I should be glad I’m only renting, I guess? I was hoping moving just as Spring comes around meant I would be getting a nice weather, but I guess I didn’t bring the Californian sun with me. It’s not the best first impression. So tell me, what are your favorite spots when you can’t really do anything outside? How does one entertain themselves? And most importantly, what’s your favorite restaurant? Anyway, I’m Joe
I promise you, it’s even better than the things you’ve heard about it probably. Hopefully the weather will be warming up even more as we get deeper into spring. I’m sure before you know it, you’ll be hitting up the beaches and you’ll feel like you’re right back in California. As for how to entertain yourself, there’s a little bit of everything. There’s some cool music shops in town that i like to drop by and skim the newest additions. There are a few tea shops and books shops around town, if that’s your thing. As for food, Blackbeard’s and Paco’s will always be two of my favorite places. Captain’s is the best place to order in some pizza. And there are some awesome food trucks in town too.

One thing to do when you’re newly divorced and single? You get a brand new place in Seabreeze with a wine and unpacking party for one. It’s a great time to be alive right? Right. Now what’s exciting in this place to have some fun and also should I get a dog or should I not cause I’m torn and I need someone to make the choice for me.
I’d say you’re starting over in the best spot there is. There’s so many great thing to do in town. Plus you’re already off to a great start since you already have wine on hand. If there’s a choice to get a dog, the answer should always be yes. What kind of dog though?
