Hi! Kurt Anderson-Hummel here. A pleasure to meet you all. Currently running my own fashion brand out of department stores in NYC and Florida, and steadily increasing these locations. William McKinley alumnus, class of 2012. Former student of the Fashion Institute of Technology. Married to the gorgeous Blaine Anderson-Hummel.
I’d like to take this moment to thank all the wonderful fathers and father figures in my life. Without you, I would not be the man I am today.
I would also like to wish my husband a happy Father’s Day… Kurt and I are happy to announce that we are currently in the process of having a child. We’d like to keep the details private, but we can say that our dear friend Leah has agreed to being our surrogate. We’re very excited, and we hope that by next Father’s Day we’ll have a little baby to celebrate with!
Happy Birthday, Kurt! I can’t believe we’re verging on 30….
Did you enjoy the show? I know it was off-Broadway, but I’ve heard incredibly good things about it. I quite liked it. I found the music charming, but their staging needed some improvements as it felt boxy and awkward at times. But overall, I thought it was great!
Who: Kurt Anderson-Hummel and Blaine Anderson-Hummel.
What: Baby Discussion.
Kurt lay in his husband's arms on the sofa, as they read a magazine today. Kurt was turning the pages while Blaine held him as they read together "Hey, Blaine. You know how it's just coming up to our 9 year anniversary...?"
Blaine snuggled up to Kurt, his arm curling around his husband. He leaned his head towards him, finishing off the last bit on the page of the magazine. "Yes. Nine beautiful years."
Kurt cuddled closer to Blaine, lightly nuzzling and kissing his jaw "How would you feel about... starting to try for a baby?"
Blaine hummed at the kisses "Well, that would be awfully hard, considering our anatomy."
Kurt nudged Blaine "You know what I mean. I think we've been married long enough now. I want a baby."
Blaine nodded "Okay. We should do some research, then."
Kurt grabbed his laptop from the table and opened it "What about?"
Blaine snuggled against Kurt's shoulder "About our options. Make sure surrogacy is what we want."
Kurt nodded and snuggled closer into Blaine's arms, smiling "But if it is, we'll have a little baby Kurt or Blaine growing in Leah's tummy. Once we ask her."
Blaine smiled "Yeah, we really do need to ask her before we start making plans."
Kurt pointed out "Once we decide that surrogacy is definitely what we want."
Blaine nodded and clicked on a website. "I think it's what I want. It's expensive, and it might not work, but I want a baby, and I want to be there from the start."
Kurt nodded "Me too. And I want our babies to be related to us."
Blaine nodded again, smushing his cheek against Kurt's shoulder "I'd like that too."
Kurt hummed happily "But what about our other options?"
Blaine nodded "Adoption could be nice."
Kurt nodded "Raising a baby that isn't wanted. We'd love that baby so much. But... it wouldn't be a mini Blaine."
Blaine agreed "Or a baby Kurt."
Kurt angled his head to look at Blaine "We keep coming back to egg donation and surrogacy."
Blaine nodded, and looked back to the computer "Let's read about it."
Kurt nodded and turned to scroll.
Blaine read through the page, snuggling closer to Kurt.
Kurt cuddled his husband as they read the page.
Blaine commented "We'll have to send some of this info to Leah, if she agrees."
Kurt nodded his head "We will."
Blaine rubbed Kurt's stomach absently as they read through the page. "Maybe we should take out some books, too."
Kurt hummed at the touch "Yes, that could be helpful. We could also maybe visit our doctor for advice."
Blaine nodded "Possibly, yes. He could make sure we're both fertile."
Kurt lightly squeezed Blaine's hands "I never thought of that. That's a good idea. He could also advise us on the best IVF clinic."
Blaine nodded, agreeing. "Exactly."
Kurt squeezed his hands "Okay. So we'll make a joint appointment."
Blaine squeezed back "It's a date."
Kurt hummed happily "A strange date."
Blaine smiled "Whoever said we weren't strange?"
Kurt reached for his phone, to call the doctor "We may be strange, but at least we're strange together.”
Blaine squeezed Kurt in his arms "Exactly."
Kurt dialled the doctor's number, waiting for them to answer.
Blaine rested against Kurt, listening to his heart and the murmured conversation on the phone.
Kurt spoke to the doctor before putting the phone down "We can go in two days."
Blaine nodded "I heard."
Kurt lightly kissed his head "Okay."
Blaine patted Kurt's stomach "It's hard to believe this is happening!" he said with a little laugh.
Kurt giggled as Blaine patted his tummy "I don't have a baby in me."
Blaine laughed "Maybe not yet." He looked up at Kurt through his eyelashes "Remember in high school? We used to say we had a Baby K."
Kurt gave Blaine a kiss "Of course I remember Baby K. The baby that appeared whenever you ate too much of my cooking ."
Blaine laughed giddily "Exactly."
Kurt gave Blaine a kiss "I want my Mom's name somewhere in our baby's name. If she's a girl."
Blaine hummed "You've mentioned that before."
Kurt kissed Blaine's lips "And your Mama's name."
Blaine smiled "And what if it's a boy?"
Kurt gently rubbed Blaine's back "I like James."
Blaine snuggled close "You've mentioned that before. It's a nice name."
Kurt asked "Which boy's names do you like?"
Blaine thought "I like James too, and I've always thought Ethan is nice."
Kurt smiled "Ethan is nice. I like that."
Blaine nodded "It is. I haven't really thought about names much, but I'd like something timeless."
Kurt gently rubbed Blaine's chest "What about Ryan? Or Alexander?"
Blaine replied "Those are nice. We don't have to decide now."
Kurt smiled "I know. I just like to talk about it."
Blaine smiled up at Kurt "Because you're excited?"
Kurt gave Blaine a gentle kiss "Incredibly excited. A little Blaine or a little Kurt, how could I not be excited?"
Blaine laughed softly "You're cute."
Kurt nudged Blaine "You're just saying that."
Blaine nudged him back "Am not! I think you're always cute."
Kurt smiled "And I think you're cuter."
Blaine smiled "Of course you think that. You're my husband."
Kurt nuzzled his nose against Blaine's "And you're mine."
Blaine kissed Kurt lightly "Mwah!"
Kurt curled up closer into Blaine's arms "I love you."
Blaine squeezed Kurt "I know. I love you too."
Kurt rested his head on Blaine's shoulder "We should ask Leah over for dinner. Talk to her."
Blaine agreed "But we should have a plan first."
Kurt nodded "We definitely should."
Blaine kissed Kurt's chin "But we have time."
Kurt hummed happily "Yes we do. We should see the doctor first."
Blaine nodded "And grab some information for her while we're there."
Kurt nodded in agreement "Definitely. She needs to know what she's getting herself into if she agrees."
Blaine patted Kurt's belly again "Exactly."
Kurt laughed "You have a fixation on my tummy tonight. Am I getting fat?"
Blaine nuzzled Kurt's belly "No. Quite the opposite."
Kurt hummed happily "You mean I'm too skinny?"
Blaine sighed "No, not too skinny. Just right."
Kurt gave Blaine a kiss "And you're just perfect."
Blaine laughed softly "Thank you."
Kurt gently stroked Blaine's hair "I love you."
Blaine hummed, resting his ear against Kurt's heart "I know."
Kurt gently stroked his fingers through his husband's hair "If I hadn't married you already, I'd marry you again."
Blaine laughed "You still can. I won't object."
Kurt smiled and nuzzled against Blaine "Maybe one day, after our babies are born. Then they can be there."
Blaine chuckled "That would be cute."
Kurt held Blaine in his arms "I'd like it a lot."
Blaine cuddled close "What should we do now, husband?"
Kurt rubbed Blaine's back "Whatever you'd like, husband."
Blaine sighed "I'm happy right here."
Kurt smiled "Why don't we do some baking together? We haven't done that in a while."
Blaine nodded "Okay. Let's do that."
Kurt started to get up off the side "Perfect."
Blaine stood up and straightened out his clothes before heading to the kitchen.
Kurt followed Blaine into the kitchen "What would you like to bake?"
Blaine answered "Maybe just some cookies?"
Kurt began to gather some ingredients "You just want to eat the leftover dough."
Blaine laughed softly "Maybe."
Kurt smiled and gathered the ingredients, picking up the scales "What flavour cookies?"
Blaine thought "Maybe... Ginger snap?"
Kurt nodded and gathered the extra ingredients "Sounds good." Kurt started to prepare the mix, giving his husband instructions when needed.
Blaine easily worked with Kurt, mixing and pouring ingredients.
Kurt started to put the mixture onto the baking tray "You can lick the bowl in a minute."
Blaine had already stuck his finger in, and was in the process of licking it off. "Whoops?"
Kurt swatted Blaine's butt "I'm not done with that yet."
Blaine laughed and sucked the batter off his finger "But it's so good!"
Kurt finished putting the better onto the tray "Okay, I'm done now. Don't eat too much, or you'll get sick."
Blaine took the bowl with a grin "Cookie dough never betrays me."
Kurt bent down to put the cookies in the oven "Mhm, okay. Say that again when you're making me rub your tummy later."
Blaine licked the batter off the spoon "I'd make you do that anyway."
Kurt straightened up "Oh, I know you would."
Blaine dumped the bowl into the sink and started to rinse it out. "The real secret is that you /like/ giving belly rubs."
Kurt cleared away the ingredients "Mmm, you've got me there."
Blaine began to wash up.
Kurt stood behind Blaine, wrapping his arms around him.
Blaine hummed happily and continued cleaning.
Kurt rubbed his tummy as he cleaned.
Blaine laughed "Thanks, Kurt."
Kurt nuzzled Blaine's neck and laughed "Thanks for what?"
Blaine wiggled slightly "You know what...."
Kurt giggled "No, I don't. You'll have to tell me."
Blaine bumped Kurt "You and your belly rubs!"
Kurt bumped Blaine bank "Don't pretend you don't like it."
Blaine smiled "Never said I didn't."
Kurt gave Blaine a kiss "I love you."
Blaine smiled back and dried his hands on a towel "I do too."
Kurt squeezed Blaine's waist "What do you want to do while the cookies finish?"
Blaine peered into the oven "We don't have long, do we?"
Kurt shook his head "They don't take long to cook."
Blaine leaned back against the counter "Hmmm... I don't know."
Kurt lightly kissed Blaine "Dance with me?"
Blaine smiled "Of course."
Kurt switched on some music before taking Blaine's hands and starting to dance.
Blaine held Kurt as they gently danced and swayed together.
Kurt swayed happily with his husband "I love you."
Blaine hummed back and placed his head on Kurt's shoulder.
Kurt placed a hand on Blaine's waist as they danced.
Blaine swayed slowly with Kurt until the oven beeped. "They're ready!" he exclaimed, jumping back.
Kurt laughed as his husband walked towards the oven "Remember to use the heat proof gloves."
Blaine nodded "Right." He grabbed the gloves before pulling the cookies out.
Kurt grabbed a dish for the cookies.
Blaine set the tray on the cooling rack "They smell so good!"
Kurt set the disk on the side, smiling "When they cool, you can have one."
Blaine grinned "One... Or five."
Kurt laughed "When we have kids, you're going to be the Daddy that lets them eat too many sweets."
Blaine laughed "Maybe. Is that a bad thing?"
Kurt laughed "Absolutely not. Sometimes. Within reason."
Blaine poked Kurt "Okay Mister Sweet tooth."
Kurt nudged Blaine back "Someone has to be the responsible Daddy."
Blaine teased "Are you saying I'm not responsible?"
Kurt giggled "I'm saying you'll spoil our kids."
Blaine grinned "But so will you."
Kurt grinned "Oh, of course. We'll love them so much."
Blaine joked "Maybe too much."
Kurt smiled "You can never love a child too much."
Blaine smiled back "Very true." He grabbed a cookie before dropping it "Ow! Hot!"
Kurt laughed "I told you, baby." Kurt took Blaine's hand, gently running cold water over his burned fingers.
Blaine rolled his eyes affectionately "It's not that hot."
Kurt dried his fingers off "I don't want you to hurt."
Blaine smiled warmly "I'm not hurt."
Kurt lightly kissed his fingers "I know, because I looked after you."
Blaine chuckled "Practising fathering already?"
Kurt smiled "Nope. Just looking after my husband that I love."
Blaine hummed happily "Cookies now?"
Kurt smiled "As long as they're cool."
Blaine picked one up with a grin "They're perfect."
Kurt took it from Blaine, feeding it to him with a smile.
Blaine smiled and took the bite. "Do you want me to call you Dada too?"
Kurt laughed loudly "Oh, absolutely not. I'm not into that, really."
Blaine raised his eyebrows and took another bite.
Kurt continued feeding Blaine "You're goofy."
Blaine smiled and finished the cookie "Mm, thank you."
Kurt smiled "You're welcome."
Blaine took another one and had a large bite "Mmm. So good."
Kurt picked up one of his own "Try not to eat too many, honey."
Blaine made a noise to notify Kurt he had heard, before finishing off his cookie.
Kurt took a bite of his cookie "Mm. It's good."
Blaine finished his cookie "Delicious."
Kurt finished his own and began to put away the remaining ones "Incredibly so."
Blaine said "That's right. Save some for tomorrow."
Kurt put them away in the cupboard "Of course."
Blaine leaned back on the counter "What now?"
Kurt asked "A movie? We can do whatever you like. Why don't we go out? It's a nice day."
Blaine shrugged with a smile "Whatever you want."
Kurt smiled "I want to go out. Shall we go to the park?"
Blaine nodded "Sure."
Kurt went to the counter, grabbing his door keys "And we can get ice cream if you're good." He teased "We can go to Big Gay Ice Cream."
Blaine laughed as he grabbed his things "They need a small gay ice cream, for us small gays."
Kurt slipped on his shoes with a laugh "Let's put ice cream on your head, and you can be the small gay ice cream."
Blaine laughed "No thank you."
Kurt grinned at his husband "Come on, love. Put your shoes on."
Blaine slid on his shoes "Let's go."
Kurt held his hand out for Blaine.
Blaine took Kurt's hand and began to head out.
Kurt held his husband's hand, locking the door behind them.
Or rather, I love eating popcorn in my pajamas with Kurt as he critique every outfit, and argue about best and worst dressed. Even if, by some miracle, Kurt and I had the chance to attend some day, I’m sure we’d be in the back gossiping about Beyonce and Gaga.
Who: Kurt Anderson-Hummel and Blaine Anderson-Hummel.
What: Baby Discussion.
When: Kurt is 26, and Blaine is 25.
Blaine unlocked the door to their apartment and pushed it open. He immediately slipped off his shoes and hung up his jacket, sending off a quick message on his phone before dropping his keys into the bowl by the door. "Hi, honey." Blaine put his phone away and headed into the living room, unlooping his bag from around his body and placing it on a chair. "You'll never guess what I heard today."
Kurt was stretched out on the sofa, a copy of Vogue in his hands as the smell of their dinner wafted out of the kitchen. Kurt smiled when he heard his husband's key in the lock; this was his favourite part of the day. Kurt turned to look at Blaine as he came into the room "Hi, baby. I missed you. What did you hear?"
Blaine motioned to the couch. "First, lay down. On your stomach."
Kurt laughed softly and put his magazine down, rolling onto his tummy "Mm, am I getting a massage from your magic hands?"
Blaine straddled Kurt's ass and pushed up Kurt's shirt "Mhm. Okay, so, you know Marcia? From Costumes?"
Kurt stretched out on the sofa, letting his shirt come off "The one that bought one of my dresses?"
Blaine kneaded the muscle on Kurt's back "Mhm. Well, she's pregnant."
Kurt relaxed into the sofa "Mm, really? How far along is she?"
Blaine continued massaging Kurt "I think she said three months. Can you believe it? That's the third woman in two months!"
Kurt stretched his back under Blaine's hands "Mm, maybe the fact that all our friends are having babies should tell us something." Kurt commented, only half joking.
Blaine continued working Kurt's back "Yeah. Maybe," he answered after a moment, his voice distant.
Kurt turned his head slightly "Are you okay?"
Blaine answered "Mhm, I'm fine." He massaged Kurt for a few minutes "But maybe you're right."
Kurt rested his head on a pillow "Right about what, babe?"
Blaine replied "Maybe it's a sign."
Kurt asked "That we should have kids?"
Blaine's hands stilled on Kurt's back "It's not as though we haven't discussed it before."
Kurt nodded "I know. We both want children. And we're both earning a good wage."
Blaine agreed "And I think we're old enough. We're not kids anymore."
Kurt nodded "I'm nearly 28, and you're nearly 27."
Blaine laughed "Yes, we're twenty six and twenty seven. That's adult enough for a baby."
Kurt closed his eyes, clearly relaxed and happy "Our baby. We always said we'd have children. Why not now?"
Blaine nodded, continuing to massage "We should start thinking about it."
Kurt asked "Do we still want to use a surrogate?"
Blaine answered "Yes, I think so. What about you? I wouldn't mind adopting, but I'd rather have a little Kurt," he leaned down, kissing Kurt's neck "or Blaine."
Kurt hummed "I'd like a little Kurt and a little Blaine. Eventually."
Blaine smiled and kissed him again "Me too."
Kurt tilted his head up to give Blaine a kiss "So we're doing this? We're going to have a baby? Who... who should we ask?"
Blaine smiled "Yeah, I think we are." He kissed Kurt back. "Mm, I don't know."
Kurt rested his head back on the cushion "Tina. Rachel. Leah. Brittany. Santana. We want someone we trust. But maybe with an egg donor?"
Blaine got off of Kurt and motioned for him to scooch over. "We could ask them. They might not want to."
Kurt did as Blaine asked, nodding "We'll have to talk to them. Maybe Leah first? Because she already has a baby of her own. She's been through it. Tina and Rachel don't have children yet."
Blaine got on the couch beside Kurt, spooning behind him. "Yes, Leah might be good. She has joked about being our "baby Mama" before. And I think an egg donor might be good. No pressure for our surrogate."
Kurt cuddled into Blaine's embrace "She has. We should invite her over for dinner." Kurt nodded in agreement "Yes, that would be best. I'd also like our children to have the same female genes, at least. So they're all biologically related on one side. And you hear all these horror stories about biological mothers claiming the baby. I know we trust Leah, but it does happen. So we should do it properly. Legally, through the hospital."
Blaine nodded "I agree, that sounds best." He sighed happily "I can't believe we're actually planning this."
Kurt kissed Blaine's hands "I'm so happy that we're actually planning this. I love you and our baby."
Blaine smiled "We don't have a baby, Kurt."
Kurt giggled and reached behind to touch Blaine's tummy, repeating their old joke "How could you forget about our baby K?"
Blaine laughed "Right! Baby K, of course. Our little angel."
Kurt giggled and cuddled back closer to Blaine "I'd like to incorporate our parent's names in somehow."
Blaine held Kurt "We have lots of time to think about that."
Kurt nodded "I know. That's just what I'd like."
Blaine nodded back "Okay, I'll keep that in mind."
Kurt snuggled back even closer "Okay, baby. Did you have a good day today?"
Blaine held Kurt "Yeah, the performance went very well. I'm even getting some fans! The girls at stage door cheered when I came out."
Kurt laced his fingers with Blaine's "Mm, of course you are. You're amazing. You deserve it. Can I come out stage door with you tomorrow? It's fun."
Blaine held Kurt's hand "Of course. You can meet me in my dressing room."
Kurt rubbed Blaine's hands "I feel really proud of you when I see you on that stage, or with fans."
Blaine smiled "And I'm proud when I see you in your shop, or people wearing your clothes."
Kurt rolled over so he was facing his husband "I went to visit my employees today."
Blaine played with Kurt's fingers but kept his eyes on Kurt "Yeah? How's that going?"
Kurt met Blaine's eyes with his own "I really like going to help out and spend time with them."
Blaine smiled "That's good. That's how you should feel."
Kurt gave Blaine a kiss "I do feel that way. We're living our dreams."
Blaine smiled "We really are."
Kurt gently rubbed Blaine's chest "And we're going to be Daddies."
Blaine smiled "Hopefully."
Kurt smiled "We will be. One way or another."
Blaine smiled wider and nodded "Yeah."
Kurt gave Blaine a kiss "I love you."
Blaine kissed Kurt back "Mm, love you too."
Kurt snuggled up close to Blaine "Mama called today."
Blaine asked "Oh yeah? Did she say anything interesting?"
Kurt said "They want to come visit, with Cooper. I said I'd talk to you about when was best."
Blaine nodded "That sounds nice. Maybe... Next month sometime?"
Kurt nodded "That sounds nice."
Blaine replied "Okay. I'll have to check my schedule."
Kurt gave Blaine a light kiss "And we're getting dinner with Finn and Tina on Sunday. They asked and you have a day off on Sunday."
Blaine yawned "Okay, that's fine."
Kurt asked "Are you tired, honey?"
Blaine shrugged "A little bit."
Kurt kissed his husband lightly "Dinner is in the oven. It should be ready. I'll go get it."
Blaine nodded "Okay. I'll be here."
Kurt started to sit up "Do you want to eat at the table or in here?"
Blaine stayed lying down, and hugged a pillow to his chest. "Whatever you want."
Kurt headed through to the kitchen, slipping his shirt back on as he walked "We can stay in here."
Blaine hummed happily "Okay."
Kurt grabbed their dinner before returning to Blaine with it on trays, a bottle of wine and some glasses with him "Here we go."
Blaine sat up, sitting crossed legged with the pillow in his lap. "Thank you. This looks great."
Kurt handed Blaine his meal before sitting down and pouring them both some wine "You're welcome, Blaine."
Blaine took his plate and began to eat.
Kurt held up his wine glass "To babies?"
Blaine tapped his glass against Kurt's "To babies."
Kurt smiled and sipped his wine "I love you."
Blaine took a sip before resuming eating. "I love you too."
Kurt started to eat his meal "Is it good?"
Blaine hummed around a mouthful "Yes, yes it is."
Kurt smiled as he ate "Good. I hoped you would."
Blaine continued eating and turned on the TV.
Kurt asked "What are we watching?"
Blaine answered "I was thinking Ellen? I set it to record earlier."
Kurt nodded his head in agreement "Who are her guests?"
Blaine turned it on "That Vanilla girl, with the song about ice cream, and Chris Pine."
Kurt rolled his eyes "Music is getting more and more ridiculous."
Blaine laughed "You can thank the internet for that."
Kurt let out a groan "I won't be thanking anything that let a girl make a song about vanilla ice cream."
Blaine laughed louder "Hey, remember Friday? I sang that, at McKinley."
Kurt shook his head in exasperation, but let out a small laugh "That song is dreadful."
Blaine giggled "It's fun! It's Friday, Friday..."
Kurt giggled before joining in with Blaine's singing.
Blaine finished the course and smiled before finishing up his meal "We should cover that on YouTube," he joked.
Kurt laughed "Absolutely not."
Blaine set his plate aside and curled up on the couch "It would be a sensation."
Kurt finished his own plate, setting it down "Hm, somehow I doubt that."
Blaine smiled "it'll be a Flashback Friday hit!"
Kurt gave Blaine a kiss "Absolutely not. Are you ready for bed?"
Blaine answered "In a few minutes."
Kurt nodded and sipped his wine, leaning against his husband "What about Evelyn Lilibeth? Evie for short?"
Blaine laughed "Kurt! How long have you been thinking about this?"
Kurt admitted "Ever since our relationship turned serious."
Blaine gazed at Kurt for a moment. "That's really sweet."
Kurt blushed faintly and ducked his head "I started thinking a lot about our future once I knew our relationship was serious."
Blaine kept his eyes on Kurt "And when was this? High school? Because, I-- I was serious since the beginning, Kurt."
Kurt nodded "Yes, high school. From the moment I knew I loved you."
Blaine smiled "That's really, really sweet."
Kurt gave Blaine a light kiss "I always knew we'd make it. That we'd have a future."
Blaine kissed Kurt back "Me too."
Kurt finished the last of his glass of wine "Are you ready for bed?"
Blaine nodded "Yeah." He turned off the television with a yawn.
Kurt got to his feet, putting away their dinner pots and the wine.
Blaine cleaned up before heading to the bathroom.
Kurt made his way into the bedroom, stripping out of his clothes and starting his moisturizing routine.
Blaine finished up in the bathroom and headed into the bedroom. He changed into his pyjamas before getting into bed "I've been so tired lately."
Kurt continued moisturizing "Maybe all the late night shows are getting too much."
Blaine curled up in bed "Hmm, maybe. But I like my job."
Kurt finished and then got into bed beside Blaine "I know. And I love watching you do it."
Blaine faced Kurt "So I don't mind being tired sometimes."
Kurt rolled over in their bed to face Blaine "The important thing is that you love your job. That's what matters."
Blaine smiled "I do." He pecked Kurt's lips. "Goodnight, Kurt."
Kurt gave Blaine a kiss "Goodnight, Blaine. I love you."
Blaine smiled before snuggling down in bed.
Kurt turned so he could spoon up against his husband, his back against Blaine's chest.
After careful consideration, Ainjel (Blaine’s player) and I have decided to progress with our portrayals of Kurt and Blaine, and skip a few years into the future. It may take us a little while to set things up, but we will be getting things ready for us to start roleplaying. When we re-start, Kurt will be approximately 26/27, and Blaine 25-26. Thank you for following us! We really appreciate it.
Who: Kurt Anderson-Hummel and Blaine Anderson-Hummel.
What: After the Show.
When: After Blaine’s Graduation, Flash Forward.
Blaine felt exhausted and exuberant. No, he felt /amazing/. The show had just ended, he was dripping in sweat, and he had never felt more alive. He smiled at the shoulder pats and congratulations he received as he made his way to his dressing room. Once there, he collapsed in his chair, his eyes shut as he took a moment to catch his breath and to take it all in.
Kurt was so excited; his husband had been incredible, and Kurt couldn't wait to get backstage to see him. Kurt had rushed backstage with Rachel, and he had asked his best friend to wait outside for a few minutes before she came in. Kurt knocked on the door of his husband's dressing room "Blaine? Honey, its Kurt."
Blaine's eyes flickered open and a smile spread across his face. "Kurt? Come in!"
Kurt opened the door and rushed inside, enveloping his husband in a huge hug "You were amazing. I am so proud of you, Blaine!"
Blaine hugged Kurt back, his hand rubbing along his back. "Thank you, thank you."
Kurt sat in Blaine's lap in his chair, hugging him tightly and kissing him "You did amazing. So amazing."
Blaine laughed "You seem more thrilled and excited than I am." He kissed Kurt back. "Thank you."
Kurt beamed, an excited glint in his eyes "I got you something."
Blaine smiled "Kurt. You didn't have to do that!"
Kurt kissed Blaine's nose "I know. But I wanted to." Kurt reached into his bag, pulling out a gift bag. Inside was a photo album with a photo taken every day, starting on their wedding day and ending today, a photo he'd taken of Blaine and the cast on stage at curtain call "Our first wedding anniversary just passed and I know I already got you a gift but this is partially another anniversary gift, and partially a 'congratulations on your opening night' gift. I hope you like it."
Blaine carefully took the book, his face open and full of surprise. "Kurt," he said softly, his voice thick with emotion as he flipped through. "I don't even remember you taking half of these."
Kurt moved back slightly to give Blaine space to look through "I didn't want to ruin the surprise."
Blaine looked up at Kurt, his feelings clear on his face. "/Thank you/."
Kurt smiled softly "Keep going, honey. There's a picture at the end."
Blaine laughed tearfully. "I don't think I can. I'm going to start crying before the after party." He flipped straight to the back and gazed at the final picture. "Is this from today?"
Kurt nodded shyly "Mhm. I bought a Polaroid camera. So I could put it straight into the album." Kurt gently touched Blaine's face in the photograph "You look so exhilarated and happy."
Blaine looked up at Kurt "Do I get to keep the camera?"
Kurt laughed affectionately "Of course you do, honey."
Blaine smiled at Kurt before looking down at the picture again. "I am really happy. Really, really happy."
Kurt gently kissed his husband, unable to help himself "I am so proud of you. You blew everyone away out there."
Blaine smiled against Kurt's lips. "Thank you. I worked hard, and I'm glad it paid off."
Kurt kissed Blaine again "I'm reluctant to get off your knee. But Rachel wants to come in and see you."
Blaine kissed Kurt back. "Mm. Screw her. She can wait."
Kurt kissed Blaine again, arms slipping around his neck "I'm so happy you like your book. I worked really hard on it."
Blaine smiled and leaned his head against Kurt's. "It's really sweet."
Kurt cuddled close in Blaine's lap "When do you have to be at the after party?"
Blaine shrugged "Whenever I'm ready."
Kurt nodded and nuzzled his nose into Blaine's neck "Mm, okay."
Blaine held Kurt for a moment before shooing him off his lap. "I have to change."
Kurt nodded and slipped off his lap, taking Blaine's book and placing it on his dressing table "Will you see Rach first, or after?"
Blaine began to change. "After. These clothes are sweaty and gross."
Kurt sat down in Blaine's chair, smiling "You have a really nice dressing room. I like the photo of us on your desk."
Blaine pulled on a fresh pair of pants. "Which one? The one from our wedding?"
Kurt nodded and smiled "It's cute. I like it. Have any of the cast seen it?"
Blaine slipped on his shirt and laughed "Only anyone who's ever said hello to me."
Kurt smiled brightly "I like that you talk about me to your exciting new co-stars."
Blaine smiled and laughed "They're just people, Kurt."
Kurt beamed "I'm just so excited that you're on Broadway, Blaine. Broadway! Could you have imagined any of this back in Ohio? When we were singing Candles to each other on that small show choir stage?"
Blaine smiled and leaned against his desk. "No, I can't say I could have. Dreamed of it, maybe, but never really thought it was in my future." He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Kurt. "And now all my dreams have come true."
Kurt slipped his arms around Blaine's neck "Married. Me, working as a fashion designer. For /myself/. Not for anyone else. Stores are starting to sell my designs. And you're on Broadway.”
Blaine pecked Kurt's lips "We're kind of amazing."
Kurt kissed Blaine again "We're totally amazing. One day I'll have my own store. And I'll still be sat here watching you proudly. Even when you're famous and I'm famous."
Blaine smiled "As long as we're happy, I don't care what happens." He glanced at the door. "We should let her in."
Kurt nodded and gave Blaine a gentle kiss before heading to the door.
Who: Kurt Anderson-Hummel and Blaine Anderson-Hummel.
What: Blaine’s Opening Night.
When: After Blaine’s Graduation, Flash Forward.
Kurt was so excited and proud; his husband had been auditioning for Broadway shows, and now it was time for his first opening night. Kurt had brought Rachel along with him to opening night, and he held her hand as the two of them made their way into the theatre, Kurt positively bouncing with excitement "I can't believe this! I'm so proud of him." Kurt led them to their seats, taking a seat in between Rachel and the girl next to him; he had told his husband where his seat was, so hopefully Blaine would know where to look. Kurt greeted the girl next to him with a cheerful smile "Hi."
Blaine was warming up backstage and resisting the urge to peek out into the house. He was full of fluttering butterflies, from both excitement and nerves. Kurt was out there and he wanted to do his best to impress him. The lights flashed and Blaine smiled at the crew and cast before they took their places.
The girl beside Kurt smiled back. "Hi. You seem chipper."
Kurt watched the stage closely, waiting for any sign of his husband coming onto the stage; he knew his husband was going to be so amazing in his role on Broadway, and he couldn't wait to watch. When his husband walked out to take his place, Kurt smiled brightly and pointed "That's my husband. It's his opening night."
Blaine took his place and just waited for the show to begin. He looked out into the audience, but he wasn't sure if he could see Kurt or if he was just imagining it.
The girl smiled "Oh! That's very sweet. You must be proud."
Kurt raised his hand to give a little wave to Blaine, even though he knew that Blaine couldn't wave back "I'm very proud. He's incredibly talented."
Blaine smiled widely as he spotted Kurt's wave, but then his face fell as the music began. Showtime.
The girl nodded "I'm sure he is. I'll keep an eye on him."
Kurt thanked the girl and went quiet as the show started, gently touching the backstage pass around his neck, to make sure it was still there.
