the years that followed were marked by betrayal, devotion, and distance. rebellions were planned then abandoned, memories were compelled away, and blood was spilled in the name of survival. audra fled with the mikaelsons across kingdoms for centuries, growing closer to elijah while niklaus's paranoia drove them apart. she changed her name to calista serafin, in the hopes that her heritage would be believed to have died off with vidar. she helped katerina petrova escape her doom in 1492, an act that earned niklaus's wrath and cost countless lives. then time wore calista down--watching kol's cruelty, niklaus's never-ending cycles of love and violence, and rebekah's desperate longing for freedom. by 1919, she allowed events to unfold that summoned mikael, the mikaelson siblings' vampire hunter father, forcing the family to abandon new orleans and leaving marcel(lus) behind to rise in their absence. soon after, niklaus daggered calista and left her forgotten in chicago--until katerina freed her in repayment of an old mercy.
