Who’s Your Daddy - Riren AU - Prologue
Before I begin, I just want everyone to know that the full copy of this is avaliable on Wattpad & EDITED Physical Copies of it are now able to be purchased. However, I decided I would like to start posting some of my works here. I hope you all enjoy. :)
Prologue
Levi:
The sound of the doorbell echoed through my two-story home, greeting my ears. Rolling my eyes, I left my room and walked toward the direction of the front door, walking in my usual straight posture. I wasn’t accustomed to having guests, and I wasn’t expecting any either. I wondered who it could be.
Quickly, I unlocked the door and opened it to reveal a lady who appeared to be in her middle or late thirties. Beside her stood a teenager who was definitely a lot taller than me. The first thing I came to realize was the way he stood; his back was slouched and he had his arms tightly wrapped around himself, as if they were a form of defence. He seemed absolutely miserable. I didn’t have access to his eyes as his head hung low and they were glued to the ground.
What were these people doing at my house?
“What can I do for you?” I suspiciously eyed the unknown lady, speaking in my regular sullen tone.
“Are you Levi Ackerman?” She requested.
Her eyes darted toward a clipboard which was situated in one of her hands. She tapped at the written content with a pen that was placed in her other.
“Yes? Is there something you need?”
She nodded her head as a form of responding to my question. “Yes, there is. Is it okay if we come inside?” She motioned toward the boy who stood beside her. “It’s rather important.”
“Sure?” I raised a suspicious eyebrow and stood to the side, holding the door open. “Come in.”
“Thank you,” she gave me a sad smile before continuing inside. I found the emotion rather odd, but I didn’t bother to comment.
The boy followed behind slowly, dragging his feet as he walked. His posture was still slumped in a depressing matter and he hadn’t lifted his gaze from the floor.
–
“So you’re saying if I don’t take him in, he’ll be sent away to an orphanage?” I stared at the woman, who’s named happened to be Petra, in disbelief.
She nodded her head in confirmation to my question.
“That’s what I’m saying Mr. Ackerman,” she breathed in before continuing. “Like I said, his parents were recently killed in a car accident.”
“How long ago exactly?” My eyes darted to him and straight back to her. He was seated on the same couch as her, despite the gap between them. He still had his arms slung in front of his chest and his head was positioned where it had been before. She briefly glared down at the papers in her lap for a bare few seconds before looking up again.
“Exactly two weeks and four days ago.”
“And why have you contacted me this long after?” I almost rolled my eyes, not caring about the situation I was in.
“Because,” she deeply sighed. “My other associates and I have been trying to track down anyone with relations.”
“So we’re related?” I bluntly stated before shooting my gaze toward the boy.
“Yes.”
“How exactly?” I directed another question. I was confused and this didn’t seem to hold much logic.
“He’s your fifth cousin’s son.”
“My what?”
“Your fifth cousin, I’m pretty sure you never met.”
“Of course we haven’t met,” I almost snapped at her. “What is he to me then?”
“He’s your sixth cousin.”
“My sixth cousin. There’s basically no blood relation at all then,” I grumbled to myself. “So there’s no one else who could possibly take him in?”
“No one.”
“Why can’t he live on his own?” I pointed out what seemed obvious. Taking in a brat would be a huge responsibility. I was already busy enough.
“He’s only sixteen, Mr. Ackerman.”
I almost felt my eyes bulge out of their sockets.
“Only sixteen?” My eyes scanned him intently. “He looks much older.”
“We’re getting off topic,” she hummed.
“Right,” I didn’t take my eyes off of him, but still he didn’t lift his head.
“So, are you willing to take him in or not? That is the question,” she tapped a pen she was holding on the folder in her lap.
Take him in? Give him a home and support him? It was a lot to consider. Teenagers were bratty and annoying and misbehaved, but if I said no he would be sent away. I didn’t want to say yes, but I had a conscience in the back of my mind directing me not to decline. I was the only hope left for this kid in a sense.
He surprised me as he gazed up from his lap and stared at me for the first time. His eyes looked unhappy and dull, but they were coloured with an assortment of green. The joyful colour didn’t match the emotion his face portrayed. A tiny part of my being pulled at my inner emotions, injecting me with guilt.
We looked nothing alike, and to think we were related? I wasn’t aware if it was the pleading gaze in his eyes, or the guilty feeling in my stomach. Perhaps it was both, but I found myself nodding either way.
“Yeah, I’ll look after him.”
It was only for two short years, right?
“Okay, Mr. Ackerman,” Petra flipped through a few printed pages before pulling out two in particular. She handed them over along with her pen. “I’ll need you to sign these.”

Physical copies of Who’s Your Daddy? are now available for purchase. These books do contain adult content, are boyxboy & were originally fanfic, but don’t let that stop you from at least checking it out. The prices have also been dropped for an unknown amount of time. 💕
