I know it’s been 14 years and a million things since then but I want an inquest into the X factor. I want to know what was in place to protect the minors on the show, I want a report on the abuse and coercion and I want people to be held accountable.

1000%. katie waissel and rebecca ferguson's tweets sum it up well. Everyone involved around that show need to be investigated and there needs to be some concrete changes in how reality show contestants are handled and further protection and care in place for musicians/actors/performers from their labels/management.

I truly believe we wouldn't be needing to have this awful conversation right now had things had been managed differently from the very start.

walking into the living room and seeing the bbc reporting this all is just surreal. all i can do is just stand there watching it all in shock
