{ the two of them make a strange sight as they make their way down the dark and desolate street. their hotel isn’t far from here, but even a short distance will be a struggle with Jim. }
❝you're off-duty and drunk off your ass, Kirk.❞
( she yanks him towards the general direction of the hotel ignoring any protest he makes. luckily he's too drunk to resist too much, and she manages to pull him along with a little bit of effort. honestly, he is going to be so hungover tomorrow, and she's not sure whether to laugh or feel bad. )
Carol stepped closer to a large, cylindrical pod. It was covered in a thick layer of dust, the sure sign of its age. She grabbed a cloth off of a chair, and wiped the pod down enough to reveal a small door.
"Alright then. Grab that side, I’ll take this one, and lift.”
( she grabbed the other side, hesitating only for a second -- she's curious, and there's only so much that could possibly go wrong, right? )

{ he follows her anyways, unsure of his footing. he kinda looks like a baby deer taking his first steps but i’d advise you not to tell him that. }
( she laughs softly, and loops an arm around his waist, tugging him out of the bar and down the streets beyond. she's going to have to dump him in her hotel room -- but she's pretty sure he won't try anything funny. )

AU; Did I really die?
Muse A and B are siblings/cousins/best friends/dating/etc. A few years ago, Muse B died in a car accident/something else and now has somehow come back to life by an unknown force. Muse A goes to the park one day and there they see Muse B sitting upon a bench, thinking it's nothing and try shaking it off. A few moments of still seeing Muse B, Muse A approaches Muse B; seeing Muse B looks confused, scared and upset. Muse B looks up and all the say is, "Did I really die?" (Based off of Resurrection on ABC)
❝———- ‘m not pretty. i’m sexy and don’t you forget it.❞
{ says the oversized puppy before his head drops onto the counter of the bar. yeah - he’s about to either drop dead or pass out at any moemnt. }
❝nope, sorry. you're definitely pretty.❞
( she pats his head with a little laugh, and then ruffles his hair. she pays the bartender and stands up, wondering how the hell she's going to get Jim back to a hotel without him falling over. )
❝come on, Jim. time to go home.❞
❝so much for picking someone up, right? it looks like i went through a meat grinder.❞
{ he finishes it off as though he already doesn’t have more than enough of the substance in his blood stream. he’s gonna have one hell of a hangover. }
❝don't worry, Kirk, you're still pretty.❞
( though possibly too drunk to take anyone home now -- she can't help feeling a little sorry for him, though she doesn't regret helping him out in the fight. that guy was an utter asshole, and he needed to be taught a lesson. )
"Precisely. Let’s just keep our hands to ourselves. I must admit that I am, but I’ve been holding off on investigating while I was alone.”
❝well I'm here now, so surely you can have a little poke around?❞
❝fine - fine - don’t hurt me. god — i’m a fragile flower. you know that.❞
{ the young man holds his hands up in surrender and his eyes are twinkling in the dim lights of the shady bar. though this wasn’t his initial idea of shoreleave. it really wasn’t all that bad. it was nice. }
❝you are a fragile flower with a broken nose.❞
( she sticks her tongue out at him and takes another swig of her beer before pushing it over to him. she was planning on shopping this shore leave, not getting into bar fights with Jim, but really, she doesn't actually mind all that much. )
❝of course —— anything for you, Ny-Ny.❞
{ a wink and then her beer is in his hands before she can protest. Jim takes a quick swig of the lukewarm drink and hands it back. }
❝call me that again and I'll break your nose for the second time today.❞
( she's half joking, really, and snatches her beer back with a small pout. )
