At first, she just lived her life quietly in her own corner. People called her the class nerd — always buried in her studies, the anxious chatterbox. Then, he started taking an interest in her, mostly with the goal of improving his grades.
Saying that Isabella and Chan are made for each other would be an understatement.
They have been together longer than they can even count, with a detailed plan for their future. Marriage, children—Chan and Isabella have practically planned everything.
Maybe not the break they took from their relationship a few weeks earlier because of work stress, for both of them. And even less what happened two months later, when the two of them were floating in their little bubble, busy organizing their wedding.
Their little world collapses and shatters into a thousand pieces on the floor, as Chan watches Isabella scream and cry while packing her clothes in a rush into a suitcase, calling him every name imaginable.
“What kind of man are you, Christopher?! Why are you doing this to me?!!” she asks, her voice breaking.
Chan tries to hold her back. He really does, but every time he touches her, she pushes him away as if his touch burns her from the inside.
“I don’t know… Baby, you can’t go, let me explain, please!”
He tries to take clothes out of the suitcase of the woman he sees as the love of his life, but she pushes him away violently.
“Go to hell, Christopher, you fucking cheater! I literally abandoned my life for you, for your fucking eyes, and this is what I get? A boyfriend who sleeps with another girl when we said we would take time for us?”
Tears stream down her face; she can’t hold them back anymore as she hides her face in her hands. Her engagement ring glitters under the light as she wipes her nose with her sleeve, continuing to pack her things.
“And it’s not humiliating enough to have a cheating fiancé, right? You had to put a baby into her too, that’s not funny anymore…”
She quickly closes the suitcase, unable to bear the constant pressure in her chest anymore, and leaves the room. Chan follows immediately, rushing to block her path as he grabs her cheeks to force her to look at him.
“Baby, please, you can’t do this! I… I don’t remember anything, I swear. Maybe the baby isn’t mine or… we’re about to get married, Jazmine please, you can’t do this to me…”
He pulls her into a kiss, sealing their lips in a kiss soaked with their tears. She doesn’t even try to struggle anymore; she simply melts against his lips
When they separate, he looks at her with desperate eyes, truly hoping she will stay, listen, love him. But from her gaze, he understands it’s already too late.
“I didn’t even ask to fall in love, Baby… but I did. I left my home, my family, my language, my life for you, for this?” Her voice trembles as she places her hands on the chest of the man who was supposed to be her fiancé, pushing him away.
“I can’t, Christopher… my heart hurts too much…” she says in a final sob before grabbing her suitcase and leaving the house filled with so many memories.
Chan stays frozen, his feet rooted to the ground—but not for long. His legs tremble as he collapses to the floor, crying his heart out.
It’s over. She’s gone.
…
1 hour.
2 hours.
3 hours.
4 hours.
4 days.
4 weeks.
Isabella simply disappeared, in the blink of an eye, without anyone being able to see her or talk to her. He tried calling her—probably over 200 times. He sent messages to her, to her friends, but no one answered.
The members tried calling Isabella too, but it was useless. Chan eventually understood that all he could do was wait for her to make the first move—even her mother hadn’t answered.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Chan had to inform the company, who decided to take certain measures—measures he still doesn’t know about. The meeting is scheduled for the next day.
These four weeks have been the worst of his life. He barely ate, throwing himself into work, ignoring everyone. His phone was constantly unreachable—except for her.
He’s reached a point where the members don’t even dare to breathe around him anymore. He’s become an empty glass—a glass that needs to be filled, and only she can fill it.
Now, he’s lying on his bed, silent tears streaming down his cheeks, soaking into the sheets as he lies on his side, his gaze fixed on the wall.
He never lies on Isabella’s side of the bed. Never. That place belongs to her, just like his heart does.
He truly doesn’t think he can survive without her. And he’s terrified of losing hope—but he doesn’t want to. She’ll come back. Isabella and Christopher always find their way back to each other… right?
Chan’s heart skips a beat when he hears the front door open, followed by footsteps he would recognize among a thousand.
He jumps up, opening the bedroom door, hoping with all his heart that he isn’t dreaming—and that’s when he sees her.
She takes a step back when she comes face to face with him, her eyes widening slightly, while he freezes in place.
“Thought… you would be at JYPE…” she murmurs, avoiding his gaze as she lightly brushes past him to enter the room.
Chan follows her with his eyes as she walks to their wardrobe and opens it. He clears his throat, running a hand through his hair to push it back.
“I… are you okay? Did you eat?”
Isabella freezes, a sweater in her hands, as she hears the voice of the man who makes her heart beat. That sentence—it’s always the first thing he says to her at the end of the day when he sees her after work.
She doesn’t answer. She puts clothes into a bag, then moves to her vanity to grab her things.
Chan bites his lip before stepping closer and grabbing her wrist.
“Isabella, please… can we talk?”
She keeps her eyes lowered to the vanity, while he looks at her with desperation.
He decides to take the lead and slowly walks backward toward their bed, guiding them both to sit down. Silence settles for several seconds. Chan has dreamed for weeks of seeing her again, of what he would say—but now that she’s in front of him, he’s speechless.
She isn’t wearing makeup—something she usually loves doing. Her curls are clipped back, visibly tangled, and dark circles frame her eyes.
But even like this, she’s still the most beautiful woman in the world to him.
“I… know that—”
“Let’s break up, Chan.” she cuts him off.
Chan freezes, his face falling apart as, for the first time, he meets the brown eyes of the woman he loves.
“Isa’, please…”
Valentina shakes her head, tears in her eyes.
“I tried, but I can’t. Live in a world where you’re not with me? I can’t, please. I made a mistake, I don’t know why but I can’t give up on you, Baby, please…”
Valentina stays silent, watching his tears fall. She gives him a sad smile and brings her hands to his cheeks, wiping away his tears.
“You know that I love you, right? And I tried to forgive, to come back to you, but it’s just so hard…”
“But it’s maybe not my child, babe, I swear! We just have to wait until the birth, we’ll take a paternity test, and maybe—”
He tries to convince her, but she cuts him off again.
“Chan, I’m not supposed to wait. Why do you need to take a test? If you have to, it means you could be the father—that’s already a chance that you betrayed me…”
Once again, he falls silent, crying uncontrollably, realizing there’s nothing left to do. She doesn’t want to stay anymore.
But he can’t let her go. He never will.
In a desperate move, he leans forward and captures her lips in a salty kiss. He sighs against her lips as she responds.
His hands move to her hips, encouraging her to sit on him—which she does without hesitation, deepening the kiss, her arms wrapping around his neck.
Chan slides his warm hands under her sweater, and she shivers at the contact.
He breaks the kiss for a few seconds, pulling off his own sweater, now bare-chested, while she ends up in a tank top, with nothing underneath.
He crashes back onto her lips, his large hands cupping her chest, feeling the cool metal of her nipple piercing.
Isabella moans against him as he pinches her, and he breaks the kiss to press his lips to her neck.
“Uhh—baby, we can’t…”
But she stops when Chan pulls down her top, taking her nipple into his mouth.
And just like that, they both give in—to a night of pleasure where they pretend to forget everything.
And when Chan falls asleep, with Isabella’s back against his chest and his arm wrapped around her, he truly believes they can fix things.
But he realizes he’s lost her for good the next morning.
When he wakes up, the bed is completely empty—except for a post-it on his bedside table.
“I love you, I’m sorry.”
And right next to it, her engagement ring, engraved with his name on it.
For years, Isabella and Chan have been inseparable—two souls deeply in love, building a future they believed was unbreakable. With wedding plans underway and dreams carefully mapped out, their story seemed destined for a perfect ending.
But when a temporary break meant to ease the pressure of their lives takes an unexpected turn, everything begins to fall apart. What was once certainty turns into doubt, and love into something fragile and painful.
As secrets surface and trust shatters, Isabella is forced to confront a betrayal she never saw coming—one that changes everything. In a single moment, the life they built together collapses, leaving behind only heartbreak, unanswered questions, and a love that might not survive the truth.
