We hope you're as excited as we are for the return of the Stranglethorn Bonfire Bash! For our 9th consecutive year, we're thrilled to bring you another summer of creative collaboration, original games, and faction neutral beachside RP on the private server Epsilon!

We're also proud to announce that, for the first time ever, we're doing THREE DAYS of the Bash! Join us Friday 08/23, Saturday 08/24, & Sunday 08/25!

This year we'll divert from the natural and venture into the fantastical with our official theme: FABLES & FAIRY TALES. Dive into stories new and old to draw inspiration from legends both heroic and fearsome, and use those elements to craft a unique themed beachwear look that represents one of our two teams, HEROES & VILLAINS.

Not only is the Art Bash returning, but so is the team-based competition! Get ready to join our official discord on 07/23 so you can pick your team and sign up to participate in 3 weeks of themed art prompts.

Our Charity Art Raffle is returning for its 2nd year, featuring 19 incredible artists who are donating their time and skills to help us raise money for our chosen nonprofit! Full details on the charity and all the artists + prizes coming soon!

i think it's been long enough that ostarion's had time to get over the bulk of his (then current) issues. like no, he can't really muster up True faith in the light, he's never actually going to be the paladin he thought he could be if he tried hard enough so he could follow in his dad's footsteps, but it's fine! between helianthus' reassurance and making space for ostarion in his life despite his own little sad one-man atonement gauntlet, ostarion's a lot more secure in his family.

or he was. methinks maybe around legion helianthus rejoins the blood knights, and all the campaigns and work then drives a bit of a wedge between him and ostarion who isn't taken to go along with the horde for these fights. guy's reaping what he sowed when he didn't really heed what practical weapon work helianthus tried to teach him, and helianthus didn't really help either by caving to ostarion's frustrations and letting it go. likely ostarion's lowest point in feeling lost and utterly inadequate/like he doesn't have a place in the world, nevermind what's left of his family.

then i think around bfa, helianthus takes on a mentor role to an initiate to the blood knights, nix. ostarion being ostarion, hates nix immediately. he's angry this guy got where he'd been trying to be, and double angry that it's his dad who's guiding him. cue a one-sided beef/competition but arguably the strongest surge in ostarion's abilities at last because he's determined to not let some guy boot him out of his own place and actually buckles tf down to learn a thing or two. terrible motivation, but when ostarion realizes he's actually doing well, it's good for him and his ability to stand on his own and feel like a worthwhile person, paladin or not.

meanwhile, poor nix just does Not know why helianthus' son is constantly glaring at him. the tension is maybe eased when the knights return from the shadowlands and ostarion happens to catch his full name: nixeraelia'thansomnoc'toradras

i want to like it but oh my god i just cannot play shaman to save my life... i log on to any of them who've been languishing for god knows how many xpacs, my eyes glaze over before i even do anything, i log out. this is my sisyphean task... make shaman, level to like 30, quit, do it again a couple years later
