Enters, sets down a tray with cookies somewhere considered to be safe, a styrofoam cup of tea, a styrofoam cup of coffee, both beverages having a lid that can be easily removed, some milk in a smaller cup also with a lid, some sugar, and a note. Leaves again. "Careful not to spill anything on important documents."

A... thing runs in front of your office. It's naked, and looks like an uncooked turkey. It has small, wonky arms that look like someone put small human hands on the tips of a pair of plucked chicken wings, and it lets out a continuous giggle-like sound. Its face is pitch black with only its sharp teeth and eyes visible.
Whuh- Is- Is that someone’s pet, or something? I should inform the others..

"... it's not even a necklace. It's a round amulet literally fused to my chest. Why do you even want to know?"

"They contacted me. They apparently want 963-1, but they think it's a necklace."
[Ah. Mystery solved, then. Offer a replica, maybe? We’ll make it, if necessary]
"A replica to give them would be appreciated, thank you. I don't have one on my person."
[Understood! We’ll get on it right away! Consider it done.]

(After a short wait, a white-haired lady runs up to Dr. Breen, a package in hand)
“Excuse me! I have what was asked for!”
He smiles pleasantly, nodding in thanks as he takes the package.
"Thank you, miss. Really appreciate it."
He opens the package, inspecting the copy of SCP-963-1, humming in approval.
"That's perfect. Please, thank your boss, will ya?"
(The lady bows lightly)
“Of course, of course! We did our absolute best to make it as accurate as possible.”
(She huffs, fanning herself with her hand)
“Phew… It’s been a while since I’ve ran this hard.”
Elias chuckled, putting the copy on his desk.
"You can stay here to rest a bit, if you'd like. Catch your breath, drink some water from the water cooler."
(The lady smiles kindly, looking apologetic)
“That’s very much appreciated. I’ll be quick, I don’t want to waste your time…”
"Ah, you won't waste my time, don't worry! Take all the time you need. I know well how chaotic life at the Foundation is."
He smiles, offering her a seat.
"My office is usually quiet."
“Thank you dearly. I could really use a break…”
(She bows, thanking Breen, before taking her seat)
“Oh, you’re lucky… I mean, it’s so busy around my Lady’s office, it’s hard to calm down sometimes.”
He grins, sitting at his desk and grabbing a pile of documents to check, aiding himself with a bit of his Thaumaturgy, markings glowing softly for a moment.
"I can imagine. The o5s are usually really busy for one reason or the other. I actually got quiet only in recent years, as it was quite chaotic in my yearly years after my... containment ended."
He grimaced a bit.
"Not many people actually wanted me to keep working here, as an anomaly. But it was the late 1800s, so... yeah, you can imagine the mentality."
“Ah- Containment, right. My apologies. I’m glad things have calmed down for you.”
(She looks a bit nervous, not quite confident.)
“I wish I had something to talk about, but… Y’know… Secrecy. That, and I don’t have much of a past… I mean, uhm, I was already under my Lady’s care when my abilities started to show.”
"It's fine, you can talk of whatever you want and can, or juat stay in silence and relax. I won't judge."
He looks curious.
"Also, abilities?"
“Wonderful, thank you. Yes, abilities. Sort of anomalous, but not started by an event or object. Nearly every level 5 staff member has one, some multiple.”
(She takes a deep breath, readying herself for a rant.)
“People with abilities are very useful, so most o5’s try to get one on their team. I was, obviously, picked by 10. The weird thing is that most of my coworkers didn’t even know they had an ability before they were chosen, including me. I don’t know if the o5’s can sense it, or the abilities come from them, or…
I’m sorry, I’m ranting too much..”
He waves her off, chuckling.
"It's ok, people rambling don't annoy me. I myself am guilty of rambling, at times."
A snort escapes his mouth as he shakes his head.
"And I wouldn't be surprised if at least some o5s could sense it. Our bosses are a mysterious bunch, ain't they?"
“You’re kind. Thank you, again.”
(She quickly looks around the room, sighing in relief when she doesn’t find anything.)
“They sure are. I work so closely with them, but honestly… Some of them still terrify me. No matter! They’re kind to me, so I can work in peace in their presence.”
"I can understand that. I have minimal contact with them due to my... situation, and I'm still lowkey intimidated as well, despite being older than a couple of them! But they are kind, so I try to look beyond their intimidatory aura. They could've contained me for being what I am, but instead, they trust me, even giving me my role."
He leans in his chair, sighing deeply but smiling
"It means... so much, to me. Their trust."
“They are forgiving if you give them a reason to be. You have, no doubt, shown that you are to be trusted.”
(She gains confidence, before suddenly looking nervous again.)
“I know them so well. They’re very open to us. There’s only one of them that, well, that I feel is hiding something. I can’t say much, but… He knows everything about everyone, but I just can’t figure out why he’d care…”
Elias hummed, nodding.
"I see..."
(She continues, occasionally looking around as if someone’d be watching.)
“I know he probably has a perfectly normal reason. I just- There’s this feeling. It doesn’t help that he’s showing off what he knows. Sometimes, we’re simply walking past eachother, and he whispers about secrets that I’ve never told anyone, ever!”
(She sighs)
“I’m just being paranoid, I think. Everything will be fine.”
He frowns, hand moving just slightly to cast a small spell to protect the room and help against eavesdropping (he doesn't really use gestures to cast, but they help).
"I... see... that is pretty weird."
“Is it? I mean, it is his job to watch over us. I understand that, but still, it feels like he’s watching too closely. Obsessively. I might just be going crazy…”
(She seems to relax a bit after the spell is cast.)
“He locks himself in a room all day, doing god knows what… It’s likely the uncertainty of it all that scares me so.”
Elias nods, glancing around after putting down his pen.
"That's understandable. After all, the O5s are the leaders of the whole Foundation... and, unfortunately, there had been ones who did horrible things."
He touches his chest, where the scar left from his father's (the former O5-12) experiments are still there. Mainly the huge Y-shaped scar on his torso.
He shakes his head, dispelling the painful memories.
"Let's just see and wait, and hope nothing will go down."
“I know, I know… Waiting is all we can do. Even if he did try something, he probably wouldn’t get very far.”
(She puts her hands together for just a second, throwing out a quick prayer.)
“God forgive me for saying this, but, honestly, he’s by no means the strongest of the council. He might be smart, and he might know a lot, but he’s not very strong compared to the other o5’s. They’ll stop him with ease.”
Elias seems to relax a bit.
"That's... good, as bad as it sounds."
“Ah- Yes. We’ll just have to hope that they won’t need to step in. All will be fine.”
(She quickly looks at her watch)
“I believe I should head back. I really don’t want to keep you from your work any longer.”
Elias nods, offering a small smile.
"All right. Feel free to visit if you have time, I enjoyed our chat!"
“Thank you so much! I enjoyed it as well.”
(She gets up and bows in gratitude, before leaving)
“Have a great evening! I’ll see you around, perchance.”
"You as well! And good luck with your job and everything else!"
He smiles, going back to his paperwork.
He........y..... *blinks before pulling out a piece a paper that simply says; "where u get tat? want necklace, look prety" and pointing at the gem again*
"... it's not even a necklace. It's a round amulet literally fused to my chest. Why do you even want to know?"
He exhales, before sending a message to @o5-10-the-archivist
"They contacted me. They apparently want 963-1, but they think it's a necklace."
[Ah. Mystery solved, then. Offer a replica, maybe? We’ll make it, if necessary]
"A replica to give them would be appreciated, thank you. I don't have one on my person."
[Understood! We’ll get on it right away! Consider it done.]
"Thank you, I'll wait for it."
[It won’t be long.]
(After a short wait, a white-haired lady runs up to Dr. Breen, a package in hand)
“Excuse me! I have what was asked for!”
He smiles pleasantly, nodding in thanks as he takes the package.
"Thank you, miss. Really appreciate it."
He opens the package, inspecting the copy of SCP-963-1, humming in approval.
"That's perfect. Please, thank your boss, will ya?"
(The lady bows lightly)
“Of course, of course! We did our absolute best to make it as accurate as possible.”

“Phew… It’s been a while since I’ve ran this hard.”
Elias chuckled, putting the copy on his desk.
"You can stay here to rest a bit, if you'd like. Catch your breath, drink some water from the water cooler."

“I wish I had something to talk about, but… Y’know… Secrecy. That, and I don’t have much of a past… I mean, uhm, I was already under my Lady’s care when my abilities started to show.”
"It's fine, you can talk of whatever you want and can, or juat stay in silence and relax. I won't judge."
He looks curious.
"Also, abilities?"
“Wonderful, thank you. Yes, abilities. Sort of anomalous, but not started by an event or object. Nearly every level 5 staff member has one, some multiple.”
(She takes a deep breath, readying herself for a rant.)
“People with abilities are very useful, so most o5’s try to get one on their team. I was, obviously, picked by 10. The weird thing is that most of my coworkers didn’t even know they had an ability before they were chosen, including me. I don’t know if the o5’s can sense it, or the abilities come from them, or…
I’m sorry, I’m ranting too much..”
He waves her off, chuckling.
"It's ok, people rambling don't annoy me. I myself am guilty of rambling, at times."
A snort escapes his mouth as he shakes his head.
"And I wouldn't be surprised if at least some o5s could sense it. Our bosses are a mysterious bunch, ain't they?"
“You’re kind. Thank you, again.”
(She quickly looks around the room, sighing in relief when she doesn’t find anything.)
“They sure are. I work so closely with them, but honestly… Some of them still terrify me. No matter! They’re kind to me, so I can work in peace in their presence.”
"I can understand that. I have minimal contact with them due to my... situation, and I'm still lowkey intimidated as well, despite being older than a couple of them! But they are kind, so I try to look beyond their intimidatory aura. They could've contained me for being what I am, but instead, they trust me, even giving me my role."
He leans in his chair, sighing deeply but smiling
"It means... so much, to me. Their trust."
“They are forgiving if you give them a reason to be. You have, no doubt, shown that you are to be trusted.”
(She gains confidence, before suddenly looking nervous again.)
“I know them so well. They’re very open to us. There’s only one of them that, well, that I feel is hiding something. I can’t say much, but… He knows everything about everyone, but I just can’t figure out why he’d care…”
Elias hummed, nodding.
"I see..."
(She continues, occasionally looking around as if someone’d be watching.)
“I know he probably has a perfectly normal reason. I just- There’s this feeling. It doesn’t help that he’s showing off what he knows. Sometimes, we’re simply walking past eachother, and he whispers about secrets that I’ve never told anyone, ever!”
(She sighs)
“I’m just being paranoid, I think. Everything will be fine.”
He frowns, hand moving just slightly to cast a small spell to protect the room and help against eavesdropping (he doesn't really use gestures to cast, but they help).
"I... see... that is pretty weird."
“Is it? I mean, it is his job to watch over us. I understand that, but still, it feels like he’s watching too closely. Obsessively. I might just be going crazy…”
(She seems to relax a bit after the spell is cast.)
“He locks himself in a room all day, doing god knows what… It’s likely the uncertainty of it all that scares me so.”
Elias nods, glancing around after putting down his pen.
"That's understandable. After all, the O5s are the leaders of the whole Foundation... and, unfortunately, there had been ones who did horrible things."
He touches his chest, where the scar left from his father's (the former O5-12) experiments are still there. Mainly the huge Y-shaped scar on his torso.
He shakes his head, dispelling the painful memories.
"Let's just see and wait, and hope nothing will go down."
“I know, I know… Waiting is all we can do. Even if he did try something, he probably wouldn’t get very far.”
(She puts her hands together for just a second, throwing out a quick prayer.)
“God forgive me for saying this, but, honestly, he’s by no means the strongest of the council. He might be smart, and he might know a lot, but he’s not very strong compared to the other o5’s. They’ll stop him with ease.”
Elias seems to relax a bit.
"That's... good, as bad as it sounds."
“Ah- Yes. We’ll just have to hope that they won’t need to step in. All will be fine.”
(She quickly looks at her watch)
“I believe I should head back. I really don’t want to keep you from your work any longer.”
