As you reading my message, myself and my family, āmy mother, father, three sisters, and my little brother,ā are fighting death in northern Gaza and trying to survive under all kinds of suffering including but not limited to fear, instability, and starvation, thirst, and poverty.
For 11 months until now, we have been struggling to get proper food after prices increased by 15 to 20 times, struggling to have clean water for use and drinking. We lacked security and stability as we were forced to evacuate our house and left everything behind.

yknow AI art has ruined an entire genre of painting to me, i saw one of those smooth anime-realism pieces and immidiately thought ''ugh, AI art'' until i noticed it was posted by an established deviantart user 6 years ago. like ive never been a huge fan of that genre but it looks like a pretty difficult style to master and i feel bad for the artists who specialized in anime-realism only to have their entire market jacked by people typing keywords into midjourney.
Okay, nobody else is going to say it so I have to but bad media is allowed to exist. The fact people make bad media using public domain characters does not invalidate the public domain. If you are actually arguing that we should extend copyright indefinitely because horror projects have been announced for Mickey mouse, You are actively doing the work of Media Empires for them. You are trying to stifle your own ability to create to stop one singular piece of bad media from existing that you don't even have to interact with. The ability to create using the characters that have shaped our culture is infinitly more importantt than the brand identity of Disney or Warner or Paramount. Just let Bad Media exist and create your own good media
In times like these, Black and Brown men are dehumanized and erased. We focus on talking about the women and children of Palestine, but what about the men? Are they not worthy? Are their lives not divine? Are they not deserving of mourning? (x)
Men are de facto seen as combatants, as inactive soldiers. The Srebrenica and Camp Speicher massacres against Bosniak Muslim and Shia Iraqi men are a prime example of how the āwomen and children and elderlyā mindset ignores the real risk faced by men in combat zones. Theyāre not ārealā civilians, so any violence against them is preventive, because if theyāre not willing to take up arms today they will be after the invading force is done with them. Separating civilian men from categories of soldier or innocent makes violence against them become self-fulfilling, the occupier anticipates resistance and singles out the members of the community perceived as most likely to participate in armed resistance. The international community accepts their deaths as inevitable and permissible.

Israel has just bombed a hospital where hundreds of wounded and refugees were taking solace. Journalists in Gaza have reported there was hardly a single body whole in the aftermath (If you can stomach it, there's a video of a father holding what remains of his child). At least 500 people killed by IOF soldiers, who planned this action, got into an airplane and dropped that bomb willingly. The deadliest attack in five wars, according to the Ministry of Health.
Israel has denied ownership of the attack and said it was a misfired Hamas rocket. Originally, they celebrated it on their social media, saying they had destroyed a Hamas target, treating the deaths like an unfortunate collateral. After international backlash, they posted videos to their social media claiming it was a Hamas rocket. The video, though, shows a second explosion 40 minutes after the airstrike, and they edited it our of their tweet in a pathetic attempt at covering up.
Israel has said multiple times that they were going to bomb hospitals. They told doctors to evacuate and leave their patients to death because they were going to bomb, namely: Al Shifa, Shuhada Al Aqsa and the Quwaiti Hospital. Al Shifa housed at least 10.000 refugees and wounded, and worked as a hub for the press because it was one of the only hospitals that still had working generators. Medical crew worked with sirens blaring to signal the hospitals were not empty. This was a purposeful massacre. These people died hungry, thirsty and in pain because of the Israeli government's cruelty.
CNN and other media outlets already tried to pin the blame on Hamas, parroting back the pathetic propaganda being sold by the IOF. Even in death, Palestinians can't be respected and are used to further their own oppression. These people's deaths are not going to be in vain. Within our lifetimes, Palestine will be free.
Take action. The Labour Party in the UK had an emergency meeting today after several councilors threatened to resign if they didn't condemn Israeli war crimes. Calling to show your complaints works.

I don't usually talk about Israel/Palestine, but as an Israeli citizen who doesn't support genocide, I need to speak out.
We're seeing, on a massive scale, news websites release articles saying "Israel bombs hospital in Gaza" and revising it to "Israel, Hamas trade blame for hospital bombing in Gaza". Every single news site is doing the same thing.

Every single news site is changing their headlines, but instead of admitting the correction as is done in every single other instance of this updating, they are acting as if this was always their headline. Note the repeated use of "Hamas and Israel trade blame" in the new headlines. This is the power the Israeli military has over the news, the control the US government exerts over every outlet, and the proof there is no unbiased reporting on Israel/Palestine. Our only accurate source is the civilian journalists being killed in Gaza and having their access to the outside world cut off.
