So these two are friends!! I feel like Ria’s pr much known him (tho not necessarily well until later) all her life through her cousin, Bex. Ria also highkey looked up to Bex and her friend group, while she was a child, so I def thinking being accepted into that friend group in any capacity was probs a srs right of passage to her hahaha Anyway!! Ria also vacations here at the resort a lot so there’s that. But I also think, since he travels a lot, that when they’re both away from the island, they can get together and hang out and feel like they’re still, that way, in contact w the ppl they’ve left behind on Archeos. Either way, Ria has supER mixed feelings about the whole thing!!!!! Like, even though they were obv v broken up, she feels like she sort of betrayed Joaquin but at the same time, the attraction is def there and she doesn’t otherwise really regret it, yknow? But she does also fear how this will impact Joaquin ++ how it’ll impact his relationship w Dallas. Like emotionally, its a mess bc it doesn’t seem like there’s a way to avoid someone (if not everyone!) getting hurt and that’s not at all what anyone wanted...I mean, Dallas came to her that night bc he wanted to help Joaquin.
So atm she’s sort of...trying to run away from it all and dealing w her emotions bc she feels strongly about both brothers tbh...but little does she realize they both ran to the same place lkajskldfjkdsf when you’re ~too in tune w other ppl tbh hahaha

ERINNNN I’m so pumPED for these babies!!!!! kljSDLkfjlkadjs Ok, so I’ve been thinking about these two and big! place it held in Ria’s life!!! Ria seems tough, but she’s got a ton of insecurities and commitment issues, but I think Joaquin is someone she really thought was gonna be there for the long haul!! But then things ended like that and I think it really through her for a loop!! Like she has this fear that if she lets anyone in and stick around they’ll see that deep down she’s just a fake and not good enough and when he ended things I think she felt that it was confirmation that that had, in fact, been the case all along :( Which is a big part of why, in addition to the huge heartbreak she highkey felt!!!!, she was in such a state when Dallas found her.
Anyway, about how long ago do you think the breakup and the night w Dallas occurred? I’m trying to figure out how much time they’re all had since...everything went down hahaha Whatcha think, babe?

Okay, so I can see where these two might be close because they are only a year apart and I feel like they might work to balance each other out and Cass might help Ria be less intense!! And more impulsive and Ria might help Cass be a little more focused haha … but at the same time, I feel like I can see where Cass would think that Ria is a little much and ++ I can see where Ria might be busy a lot and there just isn’t enough time to hang out w/ her cousins (until now!!) and like they haven’t spent much time together since they were kids.
But either way, Cass def loves her a lot and is super proud ☺️

I loVE the idea that they’re close and balance each other!! Esp bc that’s something she needs! so! much!!!! I also feel like their families deF spent a ton of time together and honestly they probs went to school at the same family approved™ school (I now realize what kind of parallel this is sounding like and that’s not exactly what I meanT to do tbh but yknoW how it is aklsjdflkjsdjfk hahahaha) Not quite to the degree but I can see Ria being a weird mix of both the Paris Gellar/Lane Kim to Cass’s Rory (not that they’re really like any of those characters I mean just in terms of how they react to each other where Cass is like ‘........’ a loT but for v different reasons to each of them hahaha but at the same time has a ton in common w each other them and takes them as they are but also calls them on their shit...but also always somehow gets roped into their insane shenanigans kljsadfkjskdjf)
Honestly, Ria needs lots of help in that dept!! In both her ‘relaxation’ and her work she is super uP aLL tHe TiME!!!!!! Like, she’s a lil too wild when she’s trying to vacation bc she’s lowkey trying to run from herself but she’s the same way w work for the same reason ++ then she’s trying to prove herself its a whole thinG!!!!! And Ria is also always here to help Cass when she needs to settle down a lil like I can see where Ria was always the one being like ‘ok you actually have a test tomorrow tonight we actually have to study’ and where Cass was the one being like ‘dude its like the first weekend of school there won’t be any tests for weeks we don’t have to study tonight come on lets actually go outside do you even remember what the sun feels like????’ etc ;DDDD
BUt yeahh, Ria is a RUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUN kind of person and she’s constantly jetting around and juggling a thousand different things etc ++ I imagine Cass has been somewhat busy w her band etc? sO I do feel like they haven’t spent as much time together in the last few years as they like??? ++ Ria’s only gotten more intense as she’s gotten into the workforce and I feel like ( 86 <---Beo’s contribution ++ he turned up and then paused my music and brightened my screen hahahaha) she’s a loT to be around!!!!!!!
Also! Ria recently (and I’ll have to figure out the exact timeframe w Erin) had a really messy breakup that I think kind of messed w her head bc she’d been w Joaquin all through high school and college and up until then and honestly she’d def thought they’d get married and that she’d always have him to lean on and her life was pr much in order and that was one thing at least she never had to worry about and then his dad died and he started pushing her away and broke up w her and...she did noT handle that well!!!! It played into every single one of her insecurities!!!! But anyway, I feel like (ironically enough) she dealt w her heartbreak by hardcore withdrawing and def w lots of alcohol etc she was a mess :( Joaquin’s brother, Dallas, found her and helped her pull out of that but then she slept w him and now she feels guilty about that too bc Joaquin was in so much pain and now he wants her back and yeah...she’s a huge mess but she tries to pretend she’s not!
Anyway, so tl;dr that’s probs another reason they haven’t had as much contact recently and omg now that she’s pregnant and alone Ria couldn’t feel more guilty about that if she tried!!!!!! But she’s super determined to be there for her now and I def feel like she’s overcompensating by like buying her soooooo much baby stuff and just appearing w it like ‘HI! ACCEPT THESE TOKENS OF MY LOVE!’ basically
