The only media I ever watched was avatar the lost air bender and dnd podcasts can I write a novel to change the world?
I know this post is a joke, but unironically: YES.
Like, okay. I get the message. It's important to eat good in order to cook good. One of the best advices you can get as an artist is to read/watch/play/listen as many stories (both real and fictional) as possible.
And also to document yourself on the topics you're going to write about, to talk to all kinds of people, to talk to other artists, to be curious and attentive, to listen to life experiences, to travel to other places if you can. Etc. Your little inner demon, the one who's holding the quill, will be VERY happy if you feed them well.
BUT!
It's also important to start writing as soon as possible. Write even if you're not sure. Write even if you don't know ANYTHING, if you were kept in a cave to watch nothing but Dragon Ball for your entire life. Write with fire. Write with ambition. Write to change the world.
And you'll change it. Trust me. I still remember little short stories that close friends made me read, or scifi ideas they expressed once during casual conversations two decades ago and then promptly forgot about, or stupid anime episodes i saw that contained exactly one concept I could get inspired by. These little stories, these little moments launched me on new paths and lead me further than I could ever have imagined.
When you create, you're part of the cultural conversation. You will change the world. Even a little. And no one can ever predict the distant repercussions of your creations.
