Hurray for the Riff Raff (aka Alynda Segarra) has announced 23 new US tour dates, supporting Bright Eyes, beginning May 19 in Oklahoma City and continuing through July 3 in Omaha. Segarra is currently on a North American headlining tour in celebration of their Nonesuch debut album, LIFE ON EARTH. Details/tickets here.

Conor and I are usually really in sync with ideas. It can be effortless. But occasionally it takes some more work. This time, I missed the mark a couple of times with my initial ideas. I was starting to feel like a failure, but then we talked on the phone and the brainstorming went really well. On that call, it suddenly sounded like we were talking about the exact same thing. We then sent each other the sketches we’d previously created, and both knew immediately that we were on the right path.

Oh yeah, I can’t believe someone figured out literally right away that the DITW figures were derived from my 20 year old Desa shirt design. I thought I’d have a little easter egg, nevermind. Ha.

Bright Eyes drops a big one.

If you see our post from yesterday we had said that Bright Eyes teased some represess. 

So they have officially announced the represses of their first three records Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995-1997, Lifting Off the Happiness, and Fevers and Mirrors. We also got a surprise of reimagined songs on EPs. 

The companion EPs will feature reimagined songs, Lifting Off the Happiness will feature songs with Waxahatchee, and Fevers will feature Phoebe Bridgers. Releasing Haligh, Haligh, a Lie, Haligh which will feature Phoebe you can check it out here off of Fevers, and Contrast and Compare which will feature Waxahatchee, you can check it out here off of Lifting off the Happiness.  

They also announced 2022 Tour Dates. Select dates (6/1-6/5) including support from SANDY Alex G. Tickets available for pre-sale for Bright Eyes mailing list subscribers starting Wednesday, February 2nd @ 10am local time. Public on sale starts February 4th.
