Celebrating these arms is of the utmost importance to me. Iāve always had muscly arms (my mum does too) and at school I was called the Hulk and it broke my heart. I HATED these arms with a passion.
With the help of the best personal trainer in the world I strengthened and toned them and learnt to love them. I look back on how far Iāve come in terms of loving my body and I feel like crying. When a guy hit on me by squeezing my biceps and saying āyou look like you could hit someoneā I could confidently say āyeah, I boxā and then smirk as I watched him shrink a bit.
When my family said I ālook like a bodybuilderā I was proud to inform that I work very hard in the gym to look the way I do.
When a male colleague at work asked me if Iām scared of āgetting bigā I honestly just laughed.
This is my body, on my grounds, and I love it, in my way. That is all that matters.
Health is a social construct. You don't need to be skinny to be healthy.
- daily body positivity
āHealth is a social constructā Are you serious?
Please stop the lies. Just stop. Stop stop stop stop. You know this isnāt true. Ā
Look what I stumbled upon
So I was looking for some ways to make a bit of extra money cause I'm kind of in a pinch right now, and I came across these two super interesting sites.
Ā https://www.dietbet.com/Ā https://www.healthywage.com/Ā
For anybody who is already making their weight loss journey right now anyway, this might be a neat opportunity to earn some cash in the long run. Basically, it looks like you pick a goal amount of weight you want to lose (minimum is 10% of your current body weight, so if you're already at a decent BMI, it probably isn't for you) and an amount of time you want to achieve this weight loss in. Then you 'bet' a certain amount of money per month for that time period. If you lose the weight by the end of that amount of time, you get the money you wagered. If not, the money you bet is what funds other people's success.
They do seem like they require a small investment at first, but thatās some intense motivation if Iāve ever seen it. Also, I personally canāt vouch for the credibility of the sites because I havenāt used them, but if youāre interested, you can check them out and make that call. I just thought I'd share in case somebody out there found it nifty.
āI deserve to be treated with respect!!ā
This might be a controversial opinion I have, at least the fat acceptance community has me thinking so, but literally no one ādeservesā my respect. Respect is an earned thing. I see this thrown around a lot by fat-positive people, that they deserve respect no matter how they look or what they wear, etc. No. No one justĀ ādeservesā respect without having done something to earn that. There are plenty of ways to earn respect, weather its through your profession, a talent you have, how you act in certain situations, and so on. But if all I know about you is that you are a fat activist who ignores science and their health in favor of ādestroying societyās beauty standardsā, then you have done absolutely nothing to earn my respect. Ā
Like, Iāll respect that you can live your life as you choose, as in Iāll observe your right to do so. But I will not respect the decisions you make, as in praise or admire or treat as acceptable. Choosing to be obese in my opinion is not a respectable thing, so I am not obligated to respect you for it.Ā
I know itās kind of a meme, but noting is more empowering to me than hitting a new PR for overhead press. I donāt even care if I develop manly shoulders or a V taper physique, I just want to be able to lift the world over my head.Ā
Fuck bikini season. THIS is why we need to get our shit together and live healthier lives.Ā
Let's explain a thing
Fat shaming: āfat people are disgusting so Iām going to laugh and make fun of themā NOT fat shaming: ābeing fat can have negative effects on your health so you should take responsibility and get healthy and not promote a destructive lifestyleā
Why are people like this? Either mean spirited or in denial?Ā
Researchers find people with gene linked to weight gain as likely to benefit from fat reduction schemes as those without
People with a gene linked to weight gain are just as likely to benefit from weight loss programmes as those without, researchers have discovered.
The findings suggest diet, exercise and drug-based approaches to losing weight can be widely beneficial, even if some people may have a greater risk of piling on the pounds due to their genetics. In short, your DNA is not a barrier to weight loss.
In short, your DNA is not a barrier to weight loss.
What are your thoughts on fat acceptance
I think people should love themselves no matter their weight because self worth is separate from how your body looks but I donāt really agree with the message that itās healthy to be overweight. If youāre overweight and you eat healthy, workout and your doctor says youāre healthy then no problem but what I see from that movement is a lot of obese people glorifying obesity. Just like I donāt agree with any pro-skinny/eating disorder movements. We should aim for healthy not one of the two extremes.Ā
Medical experts agree that thyroid issues alone account for 10-15lbs of weight gain, and once treated with medication, this symptom disappears. Take accountability for yourself, donāt blame a condition

Live long and prosper, yāall! XD
Not gonna live THAT long if you treat your body so poorly though
Made some self love art.Ā
Yes you do. Everyone does. Your body also deserves to be treated like itās loved. Taking care of yourself and loving yourself go hand-in-hand. Ā
Weight
So today I weighed myself on the scale and it turns out I gained 3 pounds in the last two weeks. I donāt know why that happened, but at least I know I donāt have an eating disorder. Iām now 203 pounds. If I lost five pounds with all the exercise Iāve been doing, I would worry that I would be heading towards a path of misery and endless woe because I wouldnāt be eating enough to stay healthy. I donāt want to have anorexia so Iām glad I gained the weight.
Unless youāre over 7feet tall, at 200lbs you arenāt even close to being anorexic. You have A LOT of wiggle room in that department.
