I have a few things I want to tell you. First, congrats! I’m so happy you found someone who means so much to you that you’re willing to overlook this little thing we call distance. Now, bear with me as I tell you a few things I’ve come to realize in my LDR.
To be absolutely honest with you, you’re going to have days that you’re just simply sad. Days where it seems as though everyone is living happily with their partner, while you’re stuck miles away from yours. You’ll have days where you cry yourself to sleep wishing you were in your other half’s arms. You’ll have days where you blame the whole world for placing the one you love most so far away from you.
Now, this all seems pretty scary and overwhelming, I’m sure. But don’t lose hope quite yet, because this letter’s not over.
You’ll soon learn just how strong you both are. Not only that, but you’ll learn just how strong love is. You’ll see that you could have 10 bad days, but it only takes 1 good day to know you’re with the right person. You’ll see that despite the distance, you find yourself happier than you ever were before, just knowing you have your loved one. You’ll see that it really is the little things in your relationship that means the most to you.
So my one piece of advice to you…for every “bad” day you have, I promise you, there’s always a good one just around the corner. Just give it a little time, and soon, you’ll see too.
