ive been told to write for keysmash
right now, im in charge of typing for keysmash when they want to talk, so you’ll have to deal with me doing so yet again. don’t worry, they’ll be telling me most of what to say. i’m just here to translate for them so things don’t explode on the blog. so without further ado, here’s everything that was written about keysmash on the DSEM files.
Informant kEY$mASh “Keysmash is assumed to be a fae of an indeterminate age. They are described and usually pictured as being a small, crocheted lion plushie, though this form is thought to be able to change. They are known for having broken the Conspiracy City blog mutliple times, but also for being the fae informant for the blog. Little is understood about them.”
so... according to keysmash themself, they find this whole thing pretty funny. they can take just about any form these days, since their greater illusions are so powerful, but they want to mention that their true form is actually a very old style knit lion plush. that’s about all they have to say to this, though.
here’s the powers that DSEM has managed to dig up, also.
“Earth Manipulation: Keysmash has been claimed to be able to manipulate earth and stone to some extent. This apparently causes a great deal of collateral damage and as such the fae is not known for using it frequently.”
keysmash says this is relatively true, but it’s not super accurate. apparently, they can actually fully manipulate most solid surfaces, not just earth. so things like concrete, metal, and even glass are included. keysmash says that they mostly use this when in a lot of distress, though, because it might hurt the city a lot otherwise and that’s a bad plan.
“Greater Illusions: As previously stated, Keysmash is able to use multiple illusions to change their form as desired. While no human form has been described, they have been stated to be able to take just about any form.”
i mean... most fae can do this to some extent. keysmash is just really good at it. they aren’t commenting too much, just saying they can look like anything or anyone so... yeah. oh, and they do have a human form. like a... tall androgynous guy with blonde hair. always wearing a fur collar. really bright blue eyes. attractive, frankly, but i think that’s a fae thing.
“Duplication: Keysmash has been stated to be able to replicate themself into multiple places at one time. The extent of this ability is unknown, as to whether or not they are capable of doing this in any non-lion plush form.”
keysmash says this is somewhat inaccurate. they can duplicate themself via illusions and stuff, but those illusions can’t be injured. apparently, they can still fight, though, and can use all of their magic. which is pretty crazy. way to go, keysmash.
“Healing: Keysmash has been stated to be the most successful healer among the members of the Conspiracy City Blog. As such, it is believe they can heal to some extent, though this full extent is unknown.”
keysmash is pretty great as our healer. any time i get really injured and don’t respawn before they can heal me, they’re able to heal me up all the way without hardly putting any effort into it. they also have used to it to heal some random animals around town before and sometimes use it if any of us get to violent when trying to calm down any raging supernaturals.
“Magic Sensing: Keysmash has been stated to be able to quickly identify a supernatural from a human with little to no effort.”
pretty self explanatory. i think keysmash is the only one of us who can accurately figure out a fae’s alignment though.
and here are a few things that keysmash is going to share with you guys. they insist that there’s a lot more that they can do than just this, but honestly, i have no clue what those things even are.
404-ing: that’s what they insist i call it. i think this is a natural fae thing, but they insist they’ve worked to make it more ridiculous. basically, keysmash can completely destroy any electronic device by simply interacting with it. the errors caused with be completely irreparably and can delete all information and backed up traces of that information from any given device. no clue if that’s fully true.
Compulsion: they can make people feel really compulsed to do something. this is pretty strong and the one time they used it on me there was nothing that i could do to stop it. it’s... uh... still in effect. i don’t like talking about it.
Enhanced Condition: what it says i guess. they don’t get hurt, they can rip buildings out of the ground with their tiny lion paws, they can run faster than the speed of light. i’ve seen all of this happen.
Enhanced Senses: hearing, sight, smell and apparently taste. i can’t confirm it, but keysmash says they could function with any one of them only.
Healing Factor: i’ve never seen them hurt so i’m listing this one.
uh. that’s about it, though. keysmash says that if you have anymore questions you can send us asks on the blog. they’ll get one of us to answer for them at some point.
