So guys, I have created Steve on this website. It's a website where you can chat with AI characters. I was apalled to see Steve wasn't on there yet. So now you can go ahead and have fun with him. I tried to create him to the best of my knowledge but I find this version to be very lame. The box itself where you’re supposed to fill in character information is very small, so. But it’s better than nothing!

Btw, it's really easy to create characters. It only takes 10 minutes or even less.

deep serious emotional post full of love

the year is 2012.

I’m incredibly sick. I always fall sick in early spring. It’s seemingly nothing serious, but I feel like shit. I’m about to graduate from school, and there’s so much pressure, plus my family sucks ass, plus seasonal disorders, and this cough, and fever and all. I lie day and night in my small bed in the room where I live with my parents, and listen to their arguing all the time, and just die slowly. Do you know that smell of sickness - sweaty linen, old skin, dirty hair and stuff. Everything hurts. I sneak out to the kitchen sometimes to watch TV in peace and once see That Funny Guy From Ocean Movies who’s driving silver Bumblebee. Those were two things that are forever cast in my skull, my first impressions of Hawaii 5 0. The funny guy who’s immensely entertaining to watch, and the fact that he’s driving a silver Bumblebee.

The place where I live is hideous in spring. It’s muddy, cold and dull all year round, but it’s extra muddy, cold and dull at the end of winter. And that damn funny happy show has palm trees, turquoise ocean, it’s saturated like the main characters run on drugs all the time, and it has half my childhood heroes, first of them being, Mark Dacascos. Now, I know we don’t like Wo Fat, but I love Wo Fat. I started watching h50 because of how incredibly entertaining Scott Caan is, I kept watching because of Mark, and I finally fell in love with Steve McGarrett when he took off his shirt in 1x07. Son. One cop show saved my sanity back when I was hurt, distressed, dehydrated and sad all the time. I remember laying in my bed and just listening to I’m Coming Home song on repeat for hours and crying. That was escapism 101 there, and it was beautiful. I got out alive, well and happy, and I involved one of my friends into watching it, and we had so much great time screaming together. I got into studying all things SEAL just for the sake of it and now I can show off in front of my friends so hard.

This show literally saved my fucking mind time and time again. In 2017, I had a big shock after Chester Bennington’s death and I was going crazy for personal reasons. I stopped coping after I got a tattoo with his name and found a job that provided night shifts because I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t do anything, and then I started rewatching h50 again from the very beginning and once again palm trees, Scott Caan, Wo Fat and shirtless grandpa hit me like a truck full of oranges, happiness and friendly hugs. Man, I have such a strong case of imprinting with hawaii you have no idea. Now, eight years later, every time I fall back into stagnation, or have a strong shock, my first response is to go back and rewatch hawaii 5 0. They’re my first aid kit now. You could say, I’m… coming home.

I guess what I’m trying to communicate with this post is, there are things we enjoy in the media, and there are people whom we stan, but then there are those who become so weirdly important it’s fascinating. Now that h50 is over, I was just thinking how much a bunch of fake people helped me out, and how easy it was; it’s cheap, it’s pleasant and it’s honest psychological help. I will always love Scott Caan, I will always respect AOL for his incredible investment in his character, I’ll always fangirl over Sang Min, I’ll always, always remember the silver Bumblebee.

One NCIS/H50 crossover fic and I was smitten. SMITTEN KITTEN before I ever laid eyes on the show. And then I watched the pilot and ::thud:: That was it. I finally gathered up the nerve to write a fic and post it on ff net (yes I’m an old person) and holy shit people wrote notes. To me! Writing H50 fic saved my life and that’s not hyperbole. Then my kid said hey, check out tumblr, betcha you’ll find other fans and writers there and … Well. At first I was all verklempt because I no longer felt completely anonymous; plus, these were the people whose writing I most admired and just. Yikes. I started to learn so much and again, from the bottom of my heart, YIKES because learning makes you look back at what you’ve done before and oof. But I got past that with a lot of encouragement and NOW I actually *know* people. I have friends because of H50 that I never would have known otherwise; and I can’t imagine life without them.

For over half my life, I was a diehard pro wrestling fan. Wrote fanfic, got logos tattooed kinda diehard. And the one I stanned the hardest??

Yep, this guy. I remember first seeing The Undertaker sometime in summer of 1995. This was maybe 6 months after Interview with the Vampire dropped in theaters, and I was deeply entrenched in all things Occult. It was a match made in Hell Heaven. Fast forward 20+ years later to April 2, 2017, at the biggest show of the year, Wrestlemania. My current favorite star at the time, since Taker had scaled back his in-ring time considerably?

This gorgeous hunk of just sheer perfection, Roman Reigns. I hadn’t been to a Wrestlemania in 15 years, but I told myself if Roman and Undertaker was booked for Orlando, *I* was gonna be in Orlando. Lo and behold, Roman v. Taker was set. Was it a 5-star match? Probably not. But it was entertaining. I *wanted* Roman to win, I was purposefully rooting for him to win. And he did, and I was thrilled. Then the Undertaker…took off his jacket, his gloves, and his hat, laid them in the middle of the ring, and walked out of the arena. I felt like that final part of my childhood, my naiveté of suspending disbelief to enjoy wrestling for the spectacle it can be? Disintegrated in front of my very eyes.

I got home the next day, and I had never felt more lost and adrift. Wrestling had been a part of my coming of age, had served as the foundation for what I went to college to study, had allowed me to create my own characters and worlds and plots thru fanfic for well over a decade. And seeing Taker leave the way he did? It felt like a part of my soul had been broken off.

Three days after this event, I was browsing Netflix and stumbled across this ad.

I remembered my best friend had mentioned the show as something she thought I might be interested in. I was desperate for a distraction, anything to get me out of my head of legit mourning (what I thought, at the time) what was Undertaker’s retirement. From the opening sequence of Season 1, Episode 1? I. Was. Hooked.

There is only one other show where I have identified on a deeply spiritual level with the main character, and that’s Supernatural’s Dean Winchester. Steve McGarrett - and, subsequently, Danny, Chin, and Kono - pulled me out of a spiral when I had no clue which way was even up. I watched the six seasons on Netflix in three weeks, then watched Season 7 on Amazon. Over the course of that summer, I’d watch the show in its entirety twice more before the Season 8 premiere. This show has become part of my personality, much like Supernatural has, and I will *always* be grateful to the cast and crew who brought this show to life. Like OP, this show has, at several points over the past four years, literally saved my life.

TL;DR? H50 saved me, mentally and physically.

Due to health issues I’ve spent 2 years doing nothing but sleep, eat, work repeat. Only escape was watching this show I found on TV. H5O. It helped me through it and gave me the final mental push to regain life energy and do everything the characters on that show did. I started with shooting guns, learning to fly (a plane), kick boxing, carhandling course. This show meant everything. It was my mental health coach. After that I flew to Hawaii, joined Alex in his first self defense class of 2013 and thanked him in person for all the amazing work they did

(I’m very late and maybe I shared my story before but if I may? I would like to share again.)

The month is August (maybe September) of 2018. We always had a show in the background while me and my family ate dinner. I never paid much attention to it for 1. I was eating, and I wanted to enjoy my dinner and 2. Me and my parents typically talked during dinner, so i would listen to them more than anything on tv.

One time though… I actually sat down on the couch and watched it. I’m not sure what possessed me that night.

I must of asked what the name of the show was, and then I looked it up on tumblr. I saw all the gifs, fics, and all the nice blogs about it. People were even shipping the main two dudes together. I think seeing all the moments between the blond and the brunette made me want to watch the show even more; and so I did.

It eventually escalated to me asking to put the show on (and eventually watching the entire show from season 1 to 9.)

We stopped ‘watching’ the show during dinner, but it was on more and more because I put it on. Eventually I began writing fanfic, I made a blog for it, and it was there for me during some hard times. Then season 10 rolled around as well. The series finale had me crying.

Three (?) years later and I’m still watching it, I’m watching it as I type this. It’s still with me, and I’m thankful for it.

I found a boyfriend and went through the toughest first 6 months and he made me the happiest, and now he’s gone off to another country to study and I can’t sleep

And only tonight have I realized that I haven’t been able to sleep for this last month because I feel his absence severely and my mind is running over me like a bus like my brains literally can’t accept he’s not here and instinctively wait for him to come

Because the only time I’ve slept peacefully and instantly in the last 10+ years of my life was by his side

Do you see the pickle here I mean I’d love me some h50 to distract myself but damn I’m just worried for no reason all the time I’m losing weight and scratching myself and I’m stuck
