Five Is Family (A Tom/Han Collab Fic)

We said we’d be back with Tom & Han, and here we are (both of us in dire need of fluff). This takes place a couple of weeks after The Doggie Chronicles – Week 1 and The Doggie Chronicles – Week 2

Han shifts in the car seat, experiencing the first frisson of anticipation, mixed with a teensy bit of anxiety. It somehow reminds her a bit of that scene in Only Lovers Left Alive that always makes her cackle gleefully. The one where Ava pesters Adam to take them out and he flat-out refuses with “No, Adam is NOT going to take you out”…only to be seen with them in a club moments later.

She doesn’t feel like cackling gleefully now. But she doesn’t feel grumpy either, to be honest. It took Tom and their children quite some cajoling, sulking and hilariously ingenious scheming but now she’s ready to give the Hiddleston Doggie Project a try.

“Last chance to change your mind, love.”

Tom’s voice jostles her out of her thoughts and she sends him a–hopefully cheerful more than brave–smile as he takes the turn that will bring them to the animal shelter.

“I’m not going back on my word,” she says. It’s not as if she’s being forced to this. She’s realized the last week when Tom was off to a Con in America that it might actually not be such a bad idea to have a furry friend for Little Hiddleston Volume 1 and 2.

So here they are, ready to find a suitable dog. Jamie and wee Vicky are at Emma’s because Tom wisely decided that having two overly eager children around loads of cute pets isn’t a good idea. The plan is to adopt a dog and get it settled at home before the kids return this evening.

One hand on the steering wheel, Tom reaches over, claps one of her hands and presses a kiss to her palm.

“Have I told you how incredibly happy your decision makes me?”

He manages to smoulder at her before focusing on the road, and Han shifts for an entirely different reason now.

“Only about a dozen times,” she jokes, remembering how bouncy and bright-eyed he’s been since yesterday when she let him know…and how enthusiastically he ‘thanked’ her.

Tom grins, parking the car.

Whelp, they’re so going to do this.

This year we learned that sadly there will be no #HiddlesWeek. However, we decided to keep on celebrating these 7 days before Tom Hiddleston’s birthday. So everyone who would like to join us this year is more than welcome.

We know, we are really late, but we hope that you can still find the time to post things. Here are the prompts we selected.

Day One: Sunday Sunday (Feb 3rd) - Favourite Trait/Quirk (tagged as “TH: trait”)

·      Tom Hiddleston has many traits and quirks that endears him to his fans. Since there isn’t a specific photoshoot prompt this year, you might prefer to choose your favourite photoshoot if there is a certain one that you love.

·        Any of Tom’s roles apply to this prompt. Theatre, film, television, or even radio if you would like to make an audio post. Is it Thomas Sharpe, or Loki, or Coriolanus? Show us which role holds your heart.

Day Five: Thursday (Feb 7th) - Role You’d Like To See Him In (tagged as “TH: fan role”)

·        Maybe there’s a role Tom hasn’t tackled yet that you would love him to take on! Dying to see him on stage in your favourite play? Read an amazing book that you’d love to be adapted for the screen? Have a favourite Shakespearean role you’d love him to take on? Show us which role you want to see him in! Think of it as an AU day. And feel free to think outside the box!

Day Six: Friday (Feb 8th) - Favourite Quote (tagged as “TH: quote”)

·        Pretty self-explanatory. Can be either a quote from Tom or one of his characters. Is there something he’s said in an interview that’s inspired you personally? Or does one of Loki’s iconic lines give you goose-bumps every time you hear it? Here’s where you get to tell everyone.

Day Seven: Saturday (Feb 9th) - Happy 38th Birthday! (tagged as “TH: bday”)

·        It’s Tom’s birthday!! That means that it’s time to celebrate! Make whatever you want to wish him an excellent year! On this day we will also be reblogging miscellaneous posts that are not tagged as “hiddlesweek” but are in celebration of his birthday.
