If you dare come at me about banning straws, I will throw you into the sun cannon. I’m disabled, I’m crippled, I need disposable plastic straws, and all those pricey ridiculous alternatives aren’t working as well. Plastic straws were invented for the disabled.
Way to shit all over a vital access need because you think straws are worse than corporate greed.
We all care about the turtles, the seals, the oceans, obviously. Notice how the easiest thing to yell about was something that would barely affect anything but appealed heavily to emotional discourse.
The disabled community is huge, and it can be joined by anyone. Most of those As Seen On TV products were invented for us. Society still mocks us and ignores us, and often outright harms us in multiple ways.
Communicate better. Listen better. But stop putting us out in the cold because you are inconvenienced by our simplest needs.
Straws aren’t killing the planet, its animals, or people. They’re a microscopic fraction of an iota of a percentage of the problem. You want to do something? Ban plastic fishing nets. Anything else is just a hollow feel-good gesture at the expense of real living disabled people.

i have an environmental degree and i’ve been saying this since this straw ‘debate’ started: its all a tactic by those in power to distract people’s attention from bigger issues such as fishing waste. don’t fall for it. and don’t be a dick to disabled people who need straws to make their lives easier.
“Sometimes I feel so happy and sometimes I feel so mad — Why does the sun and the moon exist in my mind? Stability is a tragedy — for it’s always hard to find. I am a superhero without a kryptonite Yet I fear to be consumed by the darkness of the night — A terror that seems to be lasting forever — Yet the next morning I am reborn into the dawn of the light. I seek for an escape — anywhere that’s free — Lost in oblivion once again and my heart feels like the sea — I don’t want to die young for there is so much yet to love — I think of all the beauty yet to see in this world like all the stars above. Maybe love is like a labyrinth I could never escape — Mania is an invisible force in my life that knows no form or shape — I don’t know what infinity is like, but some days I am — Racing thoughts in the speed of light can last till’ 4 am. Sometimes I feel so happy and sometimes I feel so mad — Why am I the lovechild of the universe’s magic and despair? Chaos is my sanity — into the abyss of my emotions I stare.”

Types Of Witches/Magick Masterpost
Types of Witches:
• Religious - a witch who is religious.
Some examples:
A Pagan witch, this really just refers to someone who works with/worships more than one deity. A Wiccan witch, these witches practice a common religion among witches known as Wicca. They value nature and worship a God/Goddess. They follow rules such as the three fold law “anything you do will come back to you three fold” being the general idea. A Hellenic Witch, these witches work with the deities most people would simply know from Greek myths. Such as Zeus, it is mainly focused on the twelve Olympians. • Hereditary - someone who is as the name might point out, related to witches by blood. Often this refers to someone who was born into a family of witches. • Solitary - a witch who practices alone, not in a coven. • Eclectic - a witch who takes components from many types of witchcraft, cultures, and religions. If you are interested in this sort of practice, make sure not to take anything from closed cultures/religions. • Kitchen - a witch who works from the kitchen, inside the home. They usually use a lot of herbs & spices in their practice. They protect their home and add magick to many things done inside of it. • Hedge - these witches break the bounds, walls, or hedges of our world. An example of something they practice may be astral projection. They work with all things spiritual. • Green - nature is this sort of witches specialty! They appreciate animals & plants. & often incorporate these things or nature deities into their craft. • Sea - a witch that loves the sea & involves sea related things such as sea shells into their craft. • Swamp - a witch that likes swamps & involves things found in swamps in their craft. • Desert - a witch who like deserts & involves things found in deserts in their craft. Such as sand. • Forest - a witch who likes forests & uses things found in them, perhaps wild herbs and weeds. Or certain types of wood. • Country - a witch who prefers the country, perhaps they have a ranch. Or like working in pure solitude. • Urban - a witch who lives in the city and has to take advantage of things they find around them, maybe they’ve made an herb garden on a very small windowsill or work with a tiny little altar. • Weather - a witch who primarily works with the weather, does weather magick, and may work with deities associated with the weather. • Dream - a witch who primarily works with dreams in their craft, perhaps dream interpretation/lucid dreaming. • Fae - a witch who primarily works with the fae/faeries. They leave them offerings and call upon them for assistance. • Animal - a with who primarily works with animals. They love and respect all animals. • Elemental - a witch who works with the elements or perhaps one element specifically, example being a fire witch. • Cosmic/Astronomical/Space - these witches work with the stars, planets, and astrology. They draw their power and practice from space. • Lunar - these witches work with the moon, They base their magick around moon cycles. • Crystal - a witch who primarily works with crystals. • Nocturnal - these witches usually work at night and find solace in the darkness. They often work with deities associated with the night. • Pop culture - a witch who incorporates things from TV, movies, books ect into their craft and are inspired by them. • Tech - a witch that primarily works with technology and incorporates it into their craft. • Sound - a witch who primarily works with sound or perhaps music & incorporates it into their craft. • Artistic/craft - a witch who incorporates arts and/or crafts into their work. I do a lot of this myself, I make my grimoire super artsy. I draw complex sigils. I often use ribbons & glitter in spells. If you call it arts/crafts supplies, I can find a way to use it. • Energy - a witch who primarily works with energy, such as chakras, reiki healing, or aura work. • Divination - a witch who primarily uses divination, the act of finding out someone’s current future or seeking guidance by supernatural means. Examples being, tarot cards, runes, pendulums, & the reading of tea leaves.
Types of Magick:
• Sigil - sigils are personalized symbols. Certain witches will make custom ones for you, but you can also make your own. They can do just about anything. • Jars - jar spells are when you take a bunch of stuff, often herbs, magick waters or sigils, and put them into a jar. These spells require a lot of personal correspondence. Most jar spells require you make them, and then forget about them. • Sachets - similar to the jar spell, you put a bunch of stuff in a sachet. The color of the sachet can correspond with what you’re trying to accomplish. • Potions - Exactly what it sounds like, a mixture often made in a pot/cauldron, they often involve herbs & spices, plants, essential oils, ect. They can be placed on the body or ingested. • Color - color magick is usually applied to candles, or art magick. I have a whole post about color correspondence -here-. The idea is you pick a color that you associate with what you’re trying to do. If the spell is for luck, you might pick green.
• Candle - candle magick is used just about anywhere and everywhere, it be applied to almost any spell. Since you can always light candles. The color of the candle or the scent corresponds with what you’re trying to do. As with many other types of magick. • Elemental - elemental magick is in everything. Since the usage & respect of nature is a core part of witchcraft. Moon water? Elemental magick. Usage of crystals? Elemental magick. Candle magick? Elemental magick.
• Crystal - this is something I use a lot, different crystals do different things. They can be used to amplify another spell or crystal, to bring healing, to bring abundance. To cleanse and to charge. • Charms - charming is casting a spell on something to give it a certain property, you could charm a lipstick to make you more attractive, you could charm a jacket to make you hidden to others. Charms, like most things on this list, are versatile and all up to the caster. • Enchanting - This is a sort of spell that puts a certain effect on something long term. • Chants - spells spoken aloud, the meaning of the chant is usually encompassed in the words. Sometimes these rhyme, or are in Latin. They can be song like. They can be long or short. & do just about anything you like. As an example check out a chant for rain I came up with -here-.
• Divination (Example: Tarot cards) - divination is the process of figuring out your, or someone else’s, future/seeking guidance with supernatural forces.
• Symbolic - mostly self explanatory this is the usage of symbolism to manifest something, most magick is symbolic in some form. An example of a symbolic spell would be tying up something that represents someone to you, this could bind them. You’re not actually binding them of course, it’s symbolic. • Glamour - a glamour is any spell that changes your outward appearance or energy. Going back to an example I used before, putting a charm on that lipstick to make you more appealing is a glamour. it changes the way you appear to others. • Banishing - any magick that gets rid of, or banishes something, usually something you dislike. • Binding - similar to banishing except instead of being rid of it you stop whatever it is, it is bound and cannot continue the undesirable behavior. • Jinx - think of how people often say “Don’t! You’ll jinx it” this sort of spell is the same. Usually this spell causes the opposite of what someone desires. It can cause relatively weak misfortune, vulnerability, or annoyance for the victim. But is very temporary. • Hexing - normally considered a weaker form of cursing, hexing usually brings some form of misfortune to the victim. • Cursing - cursing brings some form of grand misfortune to someone, they are very powerful unlike hexes and jinxes. They are also meant to be permanent or long term, unlike hexes and jinxes. I feel the need to add not all witches will curse you, or some have certain standards about when cursing is appropriate. It varies from witch to witch.
Other things used in Magick:
These are all components of any of the types of magick mentioned above.
• Herbs & Spices • Magick waters such as moon water • Incense • Essential oils • Arts & Crafts supplies Let me know if you’d like me to add anything else or if I got anything wrong. Enjoy! Have a lovely day 💖

🔮How I Write A Spell🔮
What Is The Point Of This Spell?: First, figure out what sort of spell you want to do. What is its purpose? What kind of spell is it? A glamour, for example. Might be the sort of spell you decide on. It may seem obvious, but remember to write this stuff down! I usually write these questions down and keep the whole spell making process recorded in my grimoire. This is my own personal advice, but something I’ve learned is to consider if there’s another way you can accomplish whatever the purpose of the spell is without magick. I think of spells as last resorts to certain things, or as a booster shot of luck or confidence ect. But that’s just me. The Timing: When will I do this spell? This could be based off of the day of the week/time of day and moon cycle. Astrology stuff if you’re into that. I also like to do big spells on the Sabbats so if you celebrate them, you might try that. How Might I Prepare?: Will this spell have certain crystals, herbs, chants, sigils, what do you need to do and collect? Remember to research any ingredients used. Especially if its a big, or important spell to you. To me, research is just more intent! Here’s a compact list of some things a spell might involve as well, you might go through and decide what works and what doesn’t. This certainly isn’t everything you might put in a spell but it might help you narrow a few things down: - Colors used - Jars/Sachets - Sigils - Crystals - Herbs & Spices - Candles - Incense - Essential oils - Forms of divination, such as tarot, runes, or a pendulum - Knots - Chants - Magick waters, such as moon water What Will The Steps Be?: if you know you want to do a glamour, once again as the example, and you want to involve candles, think about what that will actually look like. Tips & Reminders: - Cleanse yourself, the space, and anything used. - Ground yourself. - Cast a circle, if you feel that’s necessary. You don’t have to though! - Set the mood. Do a spell past dark, light some candles, take a nice, long, hot, cleansing bath ahead of time. Drink some tea. Do some self care, or something that makes you feel as witchy as ever. - If something feels right, using this ingredient over that, a certain time of day, or anything like that. Do it! This is your practice. - If you’re not sure what to do, or what a spell should even look like, have a look at other similar spells. Before you even start writing your own, you might just substitute a few things because you lack ingredients or prefer something else from spells you’ve found. - Wards are always a good idea - If sigil burning, or fire of any sort is involved. Be safe! keep some water nearby, do it on a fire safe surface, keep in mind how you’re going to keep this contained if something goes wrong. Enjoy and have a lovely day 💖
