Trump asked his advisers if he can pardon himself
Trump reportedly has been asking his advisers about his ability to pardon family members and even himself, according to the Washington Post.
In a new bombshell report, the Post claims that Trump and his team have been looking into ways to âlimit or undercutâ special counsel Robert Muellerâs investigation into his campaign and alleged ties to Russia.
Trump was reportedly frustrated to learn that Muellerâs investigation can go beyond the Russia inquiry to explore his and his familyâs finances.
The Post reported that his team in the White House is looking into potential conflicts of interest that Mueller might have. Conflicts of interest are one of the potential avenues available for removing special counsel under the law.
Trump is also said to be especially concerned by the fact that Mueller could access several years of his tax returns. Read more (7/21/17)
This country is such a fucking joke. Did you know that if we were to divide the income in this country fairly it would be about 300,000 per person. Thatâs annually. You could give each person in this country 100,000 and still have enough to invest in infrastructure and research. Instead we have people who donât have water, donât have their basic human rights fulfilled, because they donât have enough to pay a bill.Â
Capitalism is inhumane.
đ¨ The internet needs you đ¨
Youâre up again, Tumblr.Â
Back in 2015 you demanded that the FCC adopt strict net neutrality rules and establish a free and open internet. And you won.Â
That shouldâve been the end of it. But apparently not.
The new head of the FCC wants to undo the net neutrality protections you fought so hard for.
His proposed changes open the door to your web traffic being slowed down, or even blocked altogether. You could be forced to pay extra to use your favorite apps. You could even be prevented from getting news from the sources you trust.
Title II protects consumers and democracy by ensuring all voices can be heard.
You know the drill. Hereâs what to do:
The FCC is taking comments from the public, and dearfcc.org is making it as simple as possible for you to make your voice heard.
Go there now đ dearfcc.org âď¸
Youâll just need to provide a name, an address, and then say a little bit about why rolling back Title II protections is a bad idea. If youâre not quite sure what to write, hereâs something to get you started:
Iâm writing to urge you to keep our Open Internet rules based on Title II in place. Without them, we could lose the internet as we know it.
The proposed changes to FCC rules would allow fast lanes for sites that pay, and force everyone else into slow lanes. Weâve already seen access to streaming services like Netflix, popular games like League of Legends, and communication platforms like FaceTime slowed down, or even blocked. Conditions like this hurt businesses large and small, and penalize the users who patronize them.Â
The changes also open the door to unfair taxes on internet users, and could also make it harder for blogs, nonprofits, artists, and others who canât pay up to have their voices heard.
Please leave the existing existing net neutrality rules based on Title II in place.
Thank you!
If you need more ammo, feel free to quote these experts from our net neutrality Issue Time. TechCrunch and Battle for the Net also have some good starters.
Everyone is counting on everyone else here. Do your part and tell the FCC to keep a free and open internet under Title II.Â

I donât normally reblog things like these on this blog, but this is very serious. Thereâs plan for another protest on the 12 of July which I plan on being part of.
Someone give this man a megaphone.
Reblog the hell out of this - please. Even those of you who are not in the US. You have Us followers and this is obscene.

Senator Casey is still finding awful things in the bill and posting them to Twitter, so pick a few and let the Hill know how you feel.

Trump tells Russians that firing ânut jobâ Comey eased âgreat pressureâ regarding Russia probe
Trump, in his meeting with Russian officials in the Oval Office last week, said his firing of now-former FBI Director James Comey had âtaken offâ the âgreat pressure because of Russia,â the New York Times reported.
âI just fired the head of the FBI,â Trump said, according to notes of the meeting provided to the New York Times by an American official.Â
âHe was crazy, a real nut job. I faced great pressure because of Russia. Thatâs taken off.â
White House press secretary Sean Spicer did not dispute the notes to the Times. Read more (5/19/17)
The Trump-Russia probe is now investigating a possible cover-up, report says
The investigation into potential ties between Russia and Trumpâs 2016 campaign is now looking into a possible cover-up, per McClatchy.
Citing unnamed members of Congress who attended a briefing with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, McClatchy reported that a probe into a potential cover-up began after Comey allegedly accused  Trump of asking Comey to end the investigation into Michael Flynn.
The report does not say who the cover-up probe will target. Â
The news of a potential cover-up investigation came just hours after the Washington Post reported that an official currently working in the Trump administration who is close to the president is a âsignificant person of interestâ in the investigation. Read more (5/19/17 5 PM)
âYoooo, have you heard of this dude named Bill Brennan?!â My friend intentionally does not use exclamation points as an act of resistance against manufactured cyber emotion; so when I received that excited message last week, I quickly went through my mental Rolodex because it felt as if I should have heard of Bill Brennan before, but I drew a blank.
Then Brennan dropped the hammer. If elected governor of New Jersey, Brennan said, he would expect the full cooperation of the state Legislature in clamping down on judicial violence against marginalized and oppressed people in this nation, specifically black Americans.Â
Added by a commenter on the page in the link:
The NJ gubernatorial primary is June 6th. The winners of the GOP and Dem nominations will move on to the general in November. So anyone who wants to vote for Brennan, go vote on June 6th
Even the White Houseâs timeline for Trump firing James Comey is suspicious
The White House issued a timeline on Wednesday night of the events leading up to the termination of FBI Director James Comey Tuesday.
But in the process, it might have only fed suspicions that Trump fired Comey to destroy an FBI investigation into his much-rumored ties to Russian intelligence operatives, who are accused of leaking damaging information during the 2016 presidential campaign.
âThe president over the last several months lost confidence in Director Comey,â the timeline began â itself a contradiction with the official rationale that DOJ officials independently concluded Comey must go.
Then it continues, âAfter watching Director Comeyâs testimony last Wednesday, the president was strongly inclined to remove him.â
Comey discussed the ongoing Russia investigation in that hearing. Read more (5/11/17)
Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein threatened to resign after Trump tried to pin Comeyâs firing on him
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened to resign after Trump cited his recommendation as the reason for firing former FBI Director James Comey, the Washington Post reported Wednesday night.
Trump pinned Comeyâs firing on a letter Rosenstein wrote, in which Rosenstein chastised the FBI director for his handling of the investigation into Hillary Clintonâs use of a private email server.
According to the White House, Rosenstein approached Trump with concerns about Comey, then Trump asked Rosenstein to write the letter.
But according to the Washington Post report, the chain of events that led to Comeyâs dismissal was the other way around: Trump, the report said, had already determined he was going to fire Comey and directed Rosenstein to create a rationale for the decision. Read more (5/11/17 9:45 AM)
