Introductions!

With enough new folks following this increasingly desperate cry for help that I call a Tumblr account, I thought I'd do a pinned post to introduce myself.

So hi! I'm Kara. 39 (oh god oh god I'm turning 40 next month), F, she/her, trans, lesbian.

This blog was once some form of "personal blog" but, let us be honest with each other, it is now primarily a Love Live fan blog. Not exclusively, as - surprise surprise - I will also blog about other anime (especially ones involving other musical/theatrical lesbians) from time to time, as well as random bits of nonsense that spark joy for me, but the vast majority of this blog's content is Love Live-related, because I adore Love Live, I fell hard into the Love Live fandom and now I live in idol hell. I run the cafe in idol hell. (There are free cupcakes on Fridays.)

I also created a very goofy side project, Uwuductress, which pairs Reductress headlines with anime. They're tagged here. I'm so sorry.

Outside of the cursed zone that my brain now occupies in idol hell, I am a musician, playing keyboards and writing songs in a band called The Crystal Furs. I also write, and in fact am in the process of writing a rather too large and unwieldy Love Live fanfic. (Long ago, I wrote about architecture and urban planning for a newspaper. Professionally, even!) I am a games enjoyer, primarily in the genres of RPGs and visual novels.

I'm also a photographer, and I'm going to be opening up a side blog to share photography in the near future. I shoot primarily with a Fujifilm X-T4 (when I want something big), an Olympus Pen-F (when I want something small), and a variety of film cameras (when I want something archaic).

If you are a transphobe, homophobe, misogynist, creep, etc. etc. you ain't welcome 'round these parts.

I've had other social media, but who cares at this point. When I eventually set up a personal site, I'll link it here.
