Now that Lapis was free and- presumably- at full strength, the Crystal Gem wouldn’t risk getting caught by surprise. She had to hope they could temporarily push aside past conflict in favor of mutual loathing. After all, this meant Jasper was prowling around out there, and unless she and Lapis had gotten all buddy-buddy under the ocean, the orange brute could be a potential threat to them both. “We’ve been trying to hunt down Malachite for a while. “I see now why we’ve had no luck. “Where is Jasper? How did the two of you split?”
