hi! omg i absolutely loveee your spn (especially your castiel) art, its absolutely gorgeous and i love the horror elements you add to your pieces!! i would love to know what your inspiration is or just your overall drawing process if your willing :D

Anyway about inspiration, I wasn’t referencing anything during the process of making those art, but now I remember that I was reading novels written by Stanisław Lem at the time . I looooooove Lem, I adore the sense of unknown horror he created in his sci-fi novels, especially in His Master’s Voice and Solaris . I think my horror Destiel pieces got influenced quite a lot by Solaris.

My drawing process is quite normal I think, I usually do 1-3 thumbnails and then start drawing. I found warming up is pretty important recently, so I warm up by just focusing on using lines to draw geometric shapes for about 5 minutes and 3-5 portraits and pose croquis.

When I stuck I will stop for a couple of days to absorb.

omg sry for the late reply! Haven’t been checking my tumblr inbox for a while. Thank uuu! I actually attended the Destiel Reverse Bang last year, I made 2 horror Destiel art and collaborated with the wonderful writer who is Owco! Excerpt: 

The Welcome to the End Hotel is a real step up from the cut-rate motels he’s used to staying at when he travels for work. The room is clean (actually clean, not sprayed down with overly scented industrial grade cleaner and never really scrubbed). It’s well appointed, if a little plain. There’s some elevator art on the walls, a sofa, and a large desk that makes Dean think that the place is nice enough that executives on business trips might stay here. The bathroom is all sparkly white tile, with a tub and shower – separate no less. 

All in all, the prospect of spending a few days here is nothing short of idyllic. Dean plans to take full advantage.
