Todayâs news: the people who expected to be running an insurrection by now try to slap together a government at the last minute, while the people who expected to run a government scramble to slap together an insurrection.

idk I just love how we Young People Today use ~improper~ punctuation/grammar in actually really defined ways to express tone without having to explicitly state tone like thatâs just really fucking cool, like
no   =   âNo,â she said.Â
no. Â Â = Â Â "No,â she said sharply.
No   =   âNo,â she stated firmly.
No. Â Â = Â Â âNo,â she snapped.
NO Â Â = Â Â âNo!â she shouted.
noooooo   =   âNo,â she moaned.
no~ Â Â = Â Â âNo,â she said with a drawn-out sing-song.
~no~ Â Â = Â Â âNo,â she drawled sarcastically.
NOOOOO Â Â = Â Â âNo!â she screamed dramatically.
no?! Â Â = Â Â âNo,â she said incredulously.
Iâve been calling this âtypographical nuanceâ and I have a few more to add:Â
*no* = âNo,â she said emphatically.Â
*nopes on out of here* = âNo,â she said of herself in the third person, with a touch of humorous emphasis.
~*~noooo~*~ =Â âNo,â she moaned in stylized pseudo-desperation.
#no =Â âNo,â she added as a side comment.
ânoâ =Â âNo,â she scare-quoted.
wtf are you kidding no = âNo,â she said flatly. âAnd I canât believe I have to say this.â
no no No No NO NO NO NO = "No,â she repeated over and over again, growing louder and more emphatic.Â
nooOOOO =Â âNo,â she said, starting out quietly and turning into a scream.
*no = âOops, I meant âno,ââ she corrected, âSorry for the typo in my previous message.â
Sir Patrick Stewart Loves A Male Kiss
Video
Sir Patrick Stew going in for the hetro male kiss. This is kinda amazing the fact that it tears down all that macho bullshit and is closer to love and compassion of oneâs fellow man.Â

What I can tell you is that works of art are the only silver bullet we have against racism and sexism and hatred. Joe Biden happened to see Hamilton on the same day James Burrows was here. James Burrows directed every episode of Will & Grace, and remember when Biden went on Meet the Press and essentially said, âYeah, gay people should get marriedâ? He very openly credited Will & Grace with changing the temperature on how we discuss gays and lesbians in this country. It was great to see Jim Burrows and Joe Biden talk about that, and Jim thanked Biden and Biden thanked Jim because that was a piece of art changing the temperature of how we talked about a divisive issue. It sounds silly. Itâs a sitcom, but that doesnât make it not true. Art engenders empathy in a way that politics doesnât, and in a way that nothing else really does. Art creates change in peopleâs hearts. But it happens slowly.
