October Wolves: hailing from Richmond, Virginia is a group started in the summer of 2012. We write music to simply elicit an emotional response from others. All we desire is that you hear something when you hear the songs we've written from you, and that it resonates with you in some way that brings you back. Our heart and soul is in every song made and we don't expect anything more than what we hope for, which is that we can entertain your mind for just a moment.

October Wolves - A Final Letter (Feat. Kurt Travis) Hi all. I’d like to post this song we just released for everyone to hear and check out. If you like it enough, you can download it if you click the link! For anyone who may be interested in what this song is about, I’m just going to share a bit of my hear with you guys. My lyrics in this song are really somber and not super positive for the most part. I grew up in a home where my family was extremely distant and we didn’t really translate emotions to each other very easily. My parents and siblings were gone a lot and I was the youngest so I spent a lot of time at home by myself. I never got into much trouble but when my parents split up a lot of that changed.  I started to have severe bouts of anxiety attacks and I wanted to end my life, for many years this cycle of not wanting to live, and being afraid of doing anything controlled my life. This song is about that awful struggle, about the struggle of not knowing whether you want to get better or if you want to just stop everything all together. When Kurt sings the simple line “everything is beautiful and nothing else hurts” (which is somewhat..funny.) His piece in this song is a strong reminder that no matter what happens there’s always something to be hopeful for and there’s always more to be aiming towards. Since my younger years my depression has lessened, I still struggle with anxiety but it’s something I’m working hard at every day to deal with. I just wanted to share my heart here and let it be known that this song was me throwing my self hatred, my fears, and all of that into my music..Because I believe that it helps, and if anyone else experiences these struggles I want them to know that there’s others who understand in some way.
