But yeah Kwazii wanted to be " ready should a beastie emerge from the woods" or whatever so Barnacles kinda just... picked him by the shoulders like a lil guy... anyways i like the idea that Kwazii is touch starved but just doesnt wanna admit it. Barnacles just likes winning via wits in their little competitive streaks lol 😭 carrying a lil guy isnt neccessarily a downside tho

The amount of times this guy has hadnto guard or babysit tiny creatures or eggs or children even into above and beyond is beautiful to me. Hes always like EW I DONT WANNA BABYSIT THATD BORIN. and then when its time to go he has tears in his eyes and has taughr the baby to backflip or say yeow. Literally. Canonically.

i had to edit this cuz he was more determined than angry 😭😭😭 but i do think he side eyes. Like hes TRYING to look.polite but he just has murder underneath those eyes 💀 especially as time.progresses

Dashi was trying to help Tweak with self care then Tweak fell asleep in minutes...

Tweak struggles with self care at times, either cuz shw doesnt feel the need or cuz she just uses all her energy on her projects or interests. Hell she put off getting a bed frame for the longest time.

Thats why Dashi decided to take it upon herself to help Tweak with stuff like prpper hair/fur care (esp since Tweaks fair has so much grease from mechanic work) and etc

She went out like a light tho, maybe she was just really tired

....

Or maybe the brushing just felt really nice...

Octonauts - Hug headcanons

All the Octonauts love getting hugs from each other. Especially after a tough mission.

Barnacles will give you one if you've had a really bad day or upset about something. However, he's also the most likely to get surprise hugs from the others - especially with how selflessly reckless he can be. (In my Rise and Fall of Hugo fic, this actually happens twice. Once by Peso to thank him for the training exercises he did leading up to the competition; and once by Kwazii when he was upset.)

Kwazii was a bit awkward with hugs at first, his "family" were either judgemental or missing (until CJ was eventually found). But he really warmed up to the crew.

Peso is the most likely to give hugs. Happy about a recent success? Hug! Sad about a mission going wrong? Hug! He's extremely grateful for assistance you gave him? Hug!

Shellington is also quite a cuddle bug - Sea otters are very social. Though you have to get to know him a bit first.

Dashi will give very warm, gentle hugs. She has that mum instinct.

Tweak's hugs are usually bursts of a strong emotion. Excitement, sad, anger-born-of-worry, you name it.

Inkling always watches himself when hugging someone else. His tentacles and suctons could get tangled in someone's fur or feathers. But he does care a lot for his friends.

The Vegimals will leap right into the others' arms. Especially Shellington. He was the first one who hugged them, after all.

What if everyone struggling to take care of Peso when Peso gets realllllly sick, like pathetic man sick

okay so i forgot to do the pathetic man sick part

But i drew him in two extra sweaters with healthcare puns 🫶

Hes kinda enjoying being pampered but rather concerned for everyone else-

(Hes probably actually really sick lol.i like to think Inkling has learned alot about medical things and even assisted Peso and whatnot, so between him and the vegimals they kinda takeover lol. Like not as great as Peso but its yk 😭 like. They may need to waste like 15 minutes looking thru books or pdfs to find out what to do. But like. Yk)
