Spoiled one enjoying a chew treat before bed tonight cuddled up in his Christmas wubbie (blanket). Sunday was pawsitively a peketastic lazy funday for Buddy & I. We took 3 walks, made dinner, watched Netflix & Prime, washed dishes, had a few cuddle sessions in the lazyboy & snacked on treats & hot chocolate (I had the hot chocolate). November 9, 2017 I went into the OR for my Colorectal Cancer surgery. Little did we know my surgery would take 12 hours instead of the 6-8 the surgeon said it would. During surgery an artery was cut and I required 5 transfusions during surgery. I was placed in a medical coma for 7 days to weak to breathe on my own. I received another 4 transfusions, rehab, 2 Wound Vacs, IV antibiotics Vancomycin (top dog of antibiotics), 2 months in the hospital, 5 months dealing with wound vac changes 3 times a week, Wound Clinic for 7-8 months, chemo for 8 months and one full year of healing. Cancer is a mean mf bitch! Cancer doesn't care who it hurts. How it hurts. The lives it takes. Messes it makes. The hearts it breaks. Things Cancer cannot take: My Hope, strength, courage, passion, love for life, family, friends, memories, the present (what I have right now cancer cannot touch). Live each day to the fullest! Did a little Art Therapy last night. Felt great holding a brush in my hand and creating a fall scene for @robin.r.patterson.3 & her husband Mike. I haven't painted in a while and not sure why. Painting brings so much joy to me. I think I will head to Hobby Lobby when they open to buy more canvases, paints & brushes. Thank you Mrs. Ridenhour for showing me the joys of painting scenery. 3:10am and Cancer pain & neuropathy pain in my feet & hands have me up at this early am. I'm so freaking tired. All I want to do is sleep like most people at 3am. I take meds for both painful pains.
