this show's queerbaiting is unbelievable.
Happy D-Day, Nobunaga!
Itâs June 21st, the anniversary of Oda Nobunagaâs death at HonnĹ-ji.
This is Nobunagaâs 442nd D-Day! Letâs party in the memory of our favorite Fool of Owari. Or, if heâs not your favorite, then just donât party. Or maybe party anyway because Nobunaga was a pretty big deal. Up to you.
And thereâs the full roster! Plus the older versions of Nobunaga and Mitsuhide. Fans had been wondering whether they would have older looks for the characters like Sanadamaru (Soul of Sanada) did, because one of the staff made mention of it during an interview after the initial teasers showing the young Nobunaga and Mitsuhide dropped. Now we have an answer.
I guess they would eventually have the age-up look for Ieyasu as well. I have to say the little child appearance is very odd to behold. It was already weird with Hanbei, itâs even more weird on Ieyasu.Â
whoâs puprle man on the top, between yasuke and yoshimoto?
@zhaolie-the-benevolent That is Matsunaga Hisahide.
For other character reveals, you can look at my Samurai Warriors 5 tag:Â https://odaclan.tumblr.com/tagged/samurai-warriors-5
I couldnât fit everyone in one post, after all
Researchers from Kumamoto University (Japan) have found an Edo period document that clearly indicates the Hosokawa clan, rulers of the Kokura Domain
This is not Nobunaga-relevant per se, but thereâs been found documentation that domestically-produced grape wine exist in Japan prior to 1632. After the shogunate enacted a ban on Christianity, wine was considered a âChristian drinkâ and is no longer produced.Â
I was thinking that people have repeatedly debunked the idea that Nobunaga likes European wine. As with many other things, people these days tend to exaggerate just how much did Nobunaga âloveâ Western culture. Instead, it turns out that a number of the âfirst time to enjoy/appreciate so-and-so Western cultureâ turns out to be Hideyoshi.
Now, this is all based on the fact that missionaries regularly report back home the items that they gifted to the lords they met with. Apparently accounts of presenting Nobunaga with wine do not exist, but accounts of Hideyoshi being presented wine does. Instead, Luis Frois says âNobunaga does not drink (wine/alcohol)â. The translation, however, isnât clear whether he meant all alcohol (sake included) or he had just meant specifically European wine.
However, now that we know some form of domestic wine exist, we have another question: Is it possible that Nobunaga ever had a taste of domestic wine? The Higo domain account mentioned in the article doesnât really say how long has grape wine been produced locally in Japan, after all. Â
âso i said to the guy: liquor? i hardly know her!â
âanyway weâre being betrayed by the azai--â
to pay for the shogunâs mansion, weâre going to sell my bathwater, mitsuhide.Â
âwhats this can of beans? are you telling me a chick peed in this?âÂ
therelentlessâ:
âExactly because Iâm a vampire! Donât you get it? I have to pretend to be one of the humans, a good citizen, and also because we canât let anyone know of the dozens and dozens of bodies that are buried in your backyard.. and front yard⌠or about the ones in the basement. I need to keep a good image.â
âEveryoneâs so soft, now. Back in my day, people would scurry to the bodies of soldiers to carve them up piece by piece!âÂ
murder literally doesnt hurt anyone
You can ask anyone who has been murdered and they literally have nothing to say on the topic. It clearly doesnât matter to them
