Yk know how irritated scarring can affect the surrounding areas? Imagine that for Javier in Colter with the scar over his throat. Imagine if he had occasional muteness and while he couldn't speak John was half blind and saw double at the same time😭

John trying to say thank you to Javier meanwhile he is looking nowhere NEAR Javier and Arthur is just like "who tf you talking to rn?" and John is like "Javier but I got no idea where he is, bro can you say something?" and Arthur gotta hit him with "nah, boy gone mute."

Later Javier just writes down the stuff he wanna say and it works great until it is to John who is having crazy double vision and is just standing with squinted eyes like "yeah this aint gonna work fellas."

That ain't gonna stop them from drinking together though, Javier will bring John a drink, it will just take John like three times to actually grab onto the bottle and not just air. He is however also gonna be a menace with the information that Javier can't verbally fight back, he tries to be like "Yeah I am sure Javier would love to go out hunting in the cold, otherwise he would have said something!" which works until Javier throws a stone at him point blank which John can't even stop because he can't see shit.

The only good thing about all that for Javier is that he has an excuse to throw shit at people, including Micah, suddenly he wants Micah's attention a lot.

The only good thing for John is that he can just go "I don't wanna see you right now >:(" and turn his head slightly instead of having to walk away.
