so let me get this straight. when im sitting in front of my google doc i have no ideas. but when it's 3am and im half-delirious from being sleep deprived i suddenly come up with the most heart-wrenching scenes ever. that's fucked up. sick and twisted. what the heck.

Pro tip!

If you're ever having trouble with finishing a writing project, simply draw a little sticky note of your characters staring at you disapprovingly and keep it in your peripheral at all times. Let their disappointing gaze shame you into locking the fuck in. - X

i have a question for all audio drama listeners out there.

what gets you most excited/most interested in a new audio drama that you've started? are there any big do's or don'ts?

(no i am not asking this as research for my own show. what could possibly have given you that idea?)

It's a double edged sword when your writing partner is in a completely different timezone. If they don't respond to you past a certain hour you assume they're asleep and wait patiently, but when they DO respond past that certain hour you're like "oh my goodness! a response! response = dopamine rush!!! Wait a minute-- HEY! go to bed!!!" - X

It's officially Pride Month 2025, so happy Pride to all members of the community! Our goal is to make O&E a safe space for everyone.

Inclusivity is a huge deal to us, being two trans writers whose main character is a queer trans woman, and we'll always strive to represent and tell the stories of those who are far too underrepresented.

The state of the world is a little scary right now for all of us, but we hope that we can become a small part of the amazing community of safety and acceptance within the audio drama community.

Hello all! Notice how we talk as... Well... We?

No, it's not because we're a homunculus hive mind (to our knowledge) overseeing the construction of this podcast. It's because this isn't a one-person endeavor.

Odds & Ends is the passion project of Xan (that's me) and Robin (hi Robin!) As well as our wonderful voice actors who have been a huge support throughout this endeavor.
