How to resolve if The Device Cannot Be Powered On

The Device Cannot Be Powered On Fault Description
The SYS and PWR indicators of the device are off, and no information is displayed on the serial port.
Possible Causes
The power switch is off.
The power cable is not properly connected to the device.
The power module on the device becomes faulty.
The external power supply of the device becomes faulty.
Troubleshooting Procedure
Ensure that the power switch is on.
Ensure that the power cable is properly connected to the device.
If the device still cannot be powered on, the device is faulty. Contact technical support personnel.
Check whether the external power supply is faulty.
Replace the external power supply with a new one. If the device can be powered on, the original external power supply is faulty.
Check whether the power module on the device is faulty.
If it is a pluggable power module, replace it with a normal one. If the device can be powered on, the fault is caused by the faulty pluggable power module.
If it is a built-in power module, contact technical support personnel.
Both PIU boards have POWER_ABNORMAL alarm due to the AUX board faulty
Issue Description
The Huawei OSN 1500 starts to has POWER_ABNORMAL alarm in both PIU boards.
Alarm Information
After get the data collector of the equipment we found that the alarm has the following parameters: 1 POWER_ABNORMAL MJ start 2012-05-03 16:14:14 None 0x01 0x00 0x01 0x00 0xff 11 POWER_ABNORMAL MJ start 2012-05-03 16:14:14 None 0x11 0x00 0x01 0x00 0xff
Handling Process
After analyze the information collected with GTAC, we found that the root cause of the alarms may be is the Huawei AUX board, Huawei GSCC board or Huawei PIU board. With following steps we can determinate which board is the root cause:
1. The external power supply may has the under-voltage problem or fluctuates sharply. So need to measure and confirm the external power supply for this Huawei OSN1500 is normal and stable. If the standard voltage of the input power supply is -48 V, and the measured value should be in the range of -41 V to -60 V; If the standard voltage of the input power supply is -60 V, and the measured value should be in the range of -51 V to -72 V;
2. If confirm the external power supply is normal and stable, check whether there is any pin bent in slot for AUX board; if no, replace AUX;
3. If AUX board and its slot are normal, check GSCC boards: (1). plug-out the standby GSCC, 82-GSCC(4-CXL1);[PAY ATTENTION: plug-out this board could cause service affection]check whether POWER_ABNORMAL alarm disappear; (2). If alarm exist, re-insert 82-GSCC and switch GSCC, then plug-out current standby GSCC, 83-GSCC(5-CXL1); [PAY ATTENTION: plug-out this board could cause service affection] check whether POWER_ABNORMAL alarm disappear;
4. If alarm still exist after plug-out both two GSCCs, check PIU boards: plug-out one PIU, check whether corresponding POWER_ABNORMAL alarm disappear, if yes, replace the PIU; and then plug-out another PIU with same way; After review the possible causes, we found that the root cause of the alarm was the AUX board, after replace the board the issue was solve.
Root Cause
The customer needs to know the root cause ot this alarm ands also knows if the PIU baords are OK, also the customer informs that the same issue appears in another OSN 1500.

BUS_Error Alarms on 40G card due to different hardware types
Issue Description
The ring is compromised of 8 OSN 6800 sites and different type of traffic are configured NE version is 5.51.05.35

Handling Process
First of all check the service configuartion and all services were configured correctly and as per requirement both client and network side services were same.We need to take care of service type either we are using standrad or speedup services Standrad are using for Traditional 10 G services Speedup are using for Ethernet services higher than 10 G Check hardware ,hardware is also working giving the same alarms on other node also when we inserted the same card,when we check the module type of both cards on both NEs we find the on one site there was TN52NS3T03 and on other site there was TN52NS3T01. TO3 is used for short haul and T01 is used for Long Haul communication After changing both cards to same module type the alarms cleared
Root Cause
Hardware faulty Service configuration mismatch Higher Alarms due to which low alarms also appear
Suggestions
It is suggested to use same type of hardware module and take care of this also for same sort of alarms.
VCAT_LOA was appearing on N2EFS4 board due to the inconsistent of SNCP state
Issue Description
There is one Ethernet service between two NEs (OSN7500 having software version of 5.21.18.53). Service type is Ethernet Line Service of 2Mbps. Moreover there is configured SNCP between two different lines on SDH layer to protect 2Mbps Ethernet Line Service in case of dual fiber break. The SNCP service is configured NON-Revertive for beow topology. NE1-NE2-NE3-NE4 (Working path) NE1-NE5-NE6-NE4 (Protection path)

Handling Process
After switching the service on NE4 to 'Working Channel' by SNCP Service Control, alams were cleared at the same time. Now the SNCP state becomes consistent and no service alarms are present.
Root Cause
Below points were ensured during troubleshooting and found normal in status 1) The SNCP status was normal for both NE1 and NE4 2) Traffic was not down during these alarms 3) No switching was present for the Ring and SNCP Later it was found that SNCP service was running on 'Working Channel' on NE1 and 'Protection Channel' on NE4 due to which the trail was showing alarms. Which means that SNCP state was inconsistent. Moreover the traffic was not down during these alarms.
Suggestions
Always make sure that SNCP is in consistent state for both NEs where it is created. Otherwise the signal label to be received at local station is inconsistent with that to be transmitted at the opposite station.
