They were somewhat civil around each other so there was really no point of him not going in. Merlin, you’re ridiculous, he thought to himself as he finally opened the door to the shop. He was moving swiftly, wanting to just grab what he came for and leave as soon as possible. Everything was going too smoothly though and of course, of course, she had to be standing by the register. “H-hi,” he said in greeting. “Busy day, huh?”

When Ettie first noticed him entering the store, she was sure she was seeing things. Nick had been avoiding her for years now and she was pretty sure he had never entered Honeydukes when she was working. She missed him, but she knew that staying away from each other was the best for both of them. She bit her lower lip and looked at him shyly when he approached the counter. “Hello, Nick,” she greeted him. “It’s… It’s actually been slow so far, but I’m hoping it’ll pic up soon. So… What do you have?” She motioned at the items he was holding.
