Last film you watched in the cinema?
Technicallyyyy the last thing I saw in theaters was the Academy Awards. Philadelphia Film Society does an Oscars Party every year! But the last proper film I saw was Charli XCX’s mockumentary The Moment.
Film that always makes you cry?
A League of Their Own. Every single time. Throughout the entire movie, I’m fine (that’s actually a lie, I always cry after the tryouts scene when Helen helps Shirley read the list to see if she made a team) (shit, I also cry when you find out about Betty’s husband) but the end??? When they’re walking through the Baseball Hall of Fame?? And some of them have passed and they’re all reminiscing and Dottie reunites with Kit and then it zooms in on that black and white photo of the two of them with the team to that beautiful Hans Zimmer score????? Tears. Every time tears. (and then it goes straight into This Used to Be My Playground by Madonna, which some people hate but i fucking love it, and it just adds to my tears, UGHHH)

Beetlejuice! 100% could talk along with the entire thing.
Favorite 2000’s teen movie?
I genuinely think it’s a tie between A Cinderella Story, What A Girl Wants, Aquamarine, and Ice Princess. I could and would watch all of these right now, and I could talk along with these ones, too lol
Most embarrassing guilty pleasure film?
I used to be embarrassed of this one and call it a guilty pleasure, mostly because of its name. But I’m not embarrassed anymore, it’s one of my favorite films of all time. It’s Earth Girls are Easy. I think I was only embarrassed when I was a teen because I didn’t want people to think I was gay. But I am gay! Surprise, surprise!! So nothing matters, I love that film!! (Plus, I showed to my best friend when we were teens and she loves it too, so we always watch it when we’re together!)
Film that changed your life?
This list is just abundant with Geena Davis films. I have two answers. Beetlejuice, because Geena Davis’ character Barbara was my gay awakening when I was 11. Also, Thelma and Louise, because of course. I hope that film changes every woman’s life!
You’re go-to movie quote?
From Tootsie, my fiancé and I always say “As a woman…” but we say woman like “hhhwoman” in Dorothy’s like southern-esque accent.
The most overrated film ever?
Pulp Fiction. Like, Quentin Tarantino films in general, i’m bored.
First movie you remember seeing in theaters?
I feel in my heart like I remember seeing Lilo and Stitch in theaters. I’m prettttty sure that was one of my firsts!
Horror, comedy, or romance?
For me, I’m mostly into comedies, that’s what I reach for the most. Although, I’m verrrry excited for Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma to come out this summer, because that looks like it’s gonna be a glorious mix of all three!
