             ❝ What’s a burner? ❞

     The blond’s eyebrows furrowed in return,   his      arms crossing as  he glanced between Stuart      and the laptop for a moment.    He might have      been smart, but he wasn’t that smart.  All this      tracing and hacking stuff was news to him. If      he had to sit through this, he might as well try      to understand what it all meant.

                 "Disposable cell phones. More commonly                    used by drug dealers, but anyone can get                    them and it makes it harder to track with                    how you can just toss them aside."

          Maybe it was just Stuart's tendency to look into           anything and everything, but he had thought that           burners were somewhat well known. Or at least           the name would be. If it was a burner and the           person tossed it aside, then they would get only           where it was or had last been used. Never knew           unless someone checked it out.

     The  blond only shook his head a  few  times       before watching as Stuart began working on      the phone. It was weird to see how someone      was  so  GOOD  at something like  that,  only      because  Garrett could  never imagine  doing      it on his own.  He’d be lost.  And, at the boy’s      question,  Garrett  thought  for  a  moment,  a       shrug following shortly afterwards.

             ❝ A location’s fine, yeah. ❞

           Stuart shrugged at the echo of the last word,            working on the phone and taking out his laptop            to connect it and search through signals. It had            been a while since he had done something like            this, but he would manage. Practice made            perfect and he's had enough of it to work with            him.

                 "Good. I'm gonna assume this was                  done on a burner anyway. It's one of                  the best ways to not be tracked."

If               you  mess  with  the  wrong  people,  bad  things              happen. But, of course, YOU don’t need a whole              lecture  on  that.  You  seem like you know what              you’re doing at least a LITTLE bit. ❞

                 "Just a bit. Run into a few mess ups and what-                  not, but nothing too bad. Haven't ruined my life                  yet."

                   Stuart shrugged as he worked on the phone                    and his laptop,        tracking the anonymous                    number and seeing if he could get a possible                    name with the registered number.    If it was                    anything like what it seemed, the phone was                    most likely a burner.
