“Summer’s just around the corner. I’m looking forward to spending all my days by the pool eating snowcones.”

“You know just because you can reincarnate doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be careful.” Thor admits as he looks at Rhea. He thinks that it’s important to cherish every moment that you can get. “I am ready for a break of course. Perhaps we should get some water or a snack even.”
“Whatever you say.” Not that Rhea had much intention to followed the advice. Careful went against the philosophy of ‘do now, think never’ that they had adopted over the past few years. “No on in their right mind would turn down a snack break, just lead the way.”
coopkents:
He had sent Rhea a text about getting food last night. Kon’s kids were cool, but he was sure none of them saw him as a uncle but probably more of a pain-in-the-ass relative that was close in age to them enough to not have had any authority over them at Thanksgiving, but still gave sound advice when they were in a pickle (it sounds convoluted, he doesn’t think of it much). “they could.” Cooper had made little (if any) effort with Rhea, Birdie, OR Jeannie until he became a father himself. And then suddenly it was..important to him that he at least try to be a decent relative. “Let’s get to steppin’ people, time is money.” he piped from behind them. They got a few looks, but were largely (and rightfully) ignored “Well, I tried.” he told them flatly. “ya good? how’re classes?”
"It finally pays off to have family in high places.” Rhea joked. Since they were a kid, Cooper had always felt more like a cousin than an uncle, couldn’t really remember a time that they even called him an uncle that wasn’t in jest. “Thanks for that. I might have started a new life in the time it took for us to get out of here.” They shrugged. “There’s nothing too terrible, nothing too amazing. I don’t think anyone ever likes their classes so...”
koncl:
Kon nods his head, hands finding their way inside of his pockets of the faux leather jacket. “No problem, walking is pretty good for you so I’ve heard.” He says with a smile as he looks around them. “Aside from the headache how is your day going? Anything exciting happen?”
“Yeah I think ‘walking is good for you’ is what all the studies say, at least. Who doesn’t trust a good study.” They joked. “Oh, the usual. Classes that suck, and a shift at Silvey’s once I’m out.” The magic of adulthood.
professionaltrouble:
“God please,” she replied. Getting rid of the horny teens wouldn’t perfect her college experience, but it sure would make it better. “I’d give anything to go just one day without seeing some guy trying to eat his girl’s face off. It’s disgusting. Get a room, people!”
“Asking for one day of freedom from their crimes against my eyes might kill them. Can hormones kill? I might be able to leave my room without being scared for once which might be worth it though.”

ANDY: i’m so hype for school to be over. my brain is legit melting. ANDY: can’t wait to sit on a beach somewhere pretty. ANDY: what are ur summer plans?
RHEA: a beach sounds great right about now RHEA: i’m thinking about getting as far away from paragon as I can for the summer
firechiicken:
“it’s a therapy group,” she explains to watching eyes ; deft fingers finishing what her mind could have done in seconds, poster freshly pinned to one of the school’s notice boards. she’d enlisted help in its design ( handmade would have taken too long, and she wasn’t skilled enough on a computer to make anything nice on her own ), ensuring that it was both tasteful and informative. while the headline didn’t betray the purpose outright, the little text bubbles below said exactly what jean couldn’t find words to, aloud. “for a certain kind of person.” the resurrected. it was explained better in ink. “i think it’s reached a point where, if it isn’t you - it’s someone you know.”
“Interesting concept in the very least.” They hummed. Rhea had been staring at the poster for longer than they meant to, intrigued by the idea of the group. Their powers weren’t something they wanted to pay much mind to. The suffocating feeling of death that permeated everywhere, the headaches and fainting spells that followed it, and the barely overlooked memories that they buried in the back of their mind. It was all too much for them. Better just to move on with life. “Too bad I am not the time to talk through my shit.” Ignoring it worked just as well, if not better than having to deal with the complexities of their trauma.
thundrgcd:
Thor wastes no time lifting some of the heavy debris, tossing it into the dumpster gently as he could. He walks over to where someone else was that he had been working with for this clean up adventure. “How are you holding up? Should we keep going or take a break? It’s good that it is not too hot out while we do this.” [ @ofdisbelief ]
Rhea, admittedly, wasn’t as good at the heavy-lifting as Thor. In fact, they had stuck mostly to picking up trash. “Holding up just fine. Promise I’m not about to drop dead—not that it’d be that big a deal if I did with the whole reincarnation shit.” They joked. “I’m ready for a break if you are, big guy.”
timetrcvels:
“ you don’t embrace your inner awkwardness ? “
“Ignoring my inner awkwardness has done me well over the years. Embracing it now might have dire consequences.”

“It’s been a rough few days around here, huh?” Tim knew that was an understatement considering everything that had happened at the school as of late, but he was at a loss as to how else he could begin to describe it without falling face first into his own anxieties. “I just wanted to check in.”
If it were anyone else, Rhea would’ve scoffed. “That’s one way to put it.” The memories of their first life were still fresh in their mind, pushed to the forefront of their mind when they normally tried, desperately, to keep them out of their mind. “Oh you know, I just forgot everything about who I am and tried to go a disco.” Since they first learned who they were, being consumed by their old lives had terrified them. “Other than that, I am doing just peachy.”
koncl:
His hands tug on the sleeves of his leather jacket. “They could, like turtles unsure where to go.” Kon answers as he smiles at Rhea. “I can always fly us out of the crowd, get you home faster if you want?” It was just an offer, not one that they have to accept of course. Not even HE likes this pace. “You feeling, okay?”
Rhea learned, after a while, that it was best to bite their tongue about the headaches sometimes. When they weren’t too bad, when they could still function, there was no need to worry anyone. It might just be a headache. They smiled. “Tempting offer but the walk might do my some good.” Cool air had helped, they found. “Nothing a little advil can’t fix.”
wclvie:
@ofdisbelief sent: ‘ their bodies are made very poorly . they’re mostly goo and juice . you just take the juice out and then they’re dead . ’
it takes him a moment to fully process the sentiment, in which time a solid look of confusion is planted on his face. and then, it breaks out into a huge grin.
“well yeah, guess that’s one way t’put it,” his whole body is shaking with the sudden laughter, “one… way…” he trails off as he’s caught unexpectedly with the obvious laughter.
Rhea, admittedly, had an odd relationship with death. It had never felt permanent, not when applied to themself or anyone in their family. They rolled their eyes. “I’m not wrong. Bodies are weird and fragile.”
snowflakd:
‘ well – they could be grandmothers, or – ah, weighed down by the pressure of existence ? ‘ illyana heard that nihilistic humour was once again big amongst the youth, that seemed to mix perfectly with her own slightly depressing sense of humour perfectly. ‘ perhaps they’re all taking the advice of the tortoise over the hare today ? ‘
“Everyone here seems a bit too young to be grandmothers. And hey, the pressure of existence can easily be lessened with a little bit of booze.” Rhea shrugged, In the very least, that’s how they preferred to deal with it. “Now that last one makes perfect sense. Folk tales are something all civilizations should be built on.”
professionaltrouble:
At least you get a choice. Thalia frowned and shifted on her feet. The tracking bracelet was small- more of an anklet really. But it meant she couldn’t stray more than a few miles from the college without permission. Otherwise she would’ve bolted months ago. “Me neither; I think it’s just a part of their biology. Good thing I was never that cringe-y.”
Rhea had never quite been the best at looking outside their own world, a world of wealth and superheroes and the strange contrast between both things. They knew death. (Most of their nightmares featured it, in someway, be it the deaths they remembered or one their mind conjured up for the future.) Everything beyond that tended to evade them. “I’ll be sure to let the science nerds know. Maybe they can find some fix this tragedy.”
lokisscn:
isaak had many endeavors on midgard that he decided he’d try, he’d promised his father he wouldn’t get sucked back into the world of the 70′s once again which he’d only half kept. that is why he sat on a couch with a large ball of yarn on his stomach and two needles in his hands. a hobby that supposed to calm you down but isaak was getting frustrated as he twirled the string around the needles and nothing was happening. “ god i swear if i wasn’t a pacifist, this would be going through someone’s eye right now. “ he sighed out as his hands got tangled in the mess of yarn he’d made.
Rhea had never been one for knitting. They preferred more... fun hobbies, had for most of this life. (Memories of their life as Theresa echoed more clearly in their mind now, crisp when just days before the mist, they had been hazy. They remembered then, a softer them, who wrote poetry and knit sweaters for their mother or crafted trinkets to send to their father.) “Can’t imagine ever having the patience to learn how to knit. I’m sure the needles would end up in the nearest wall.” They joked. Still, memories of their past life played in their mind no matter how much they tried to ignore them. “I’m not exactly one to discourage giving up if that’s what you are looking for.”
cfdruzod:
Raya hadn’t been back at the Paragon long, but it had been enough to hear about all the madness that had gone on here. Freak storms and a weird mist that sent everyone off the rails? Of course she’d end up missing that. “Typical the one time i’m away is when things actually get interesting here.” She commented with a faint smirk. “Everyone done tripping on gas? Was it fun? — Is there any left?”
The mist had put Rhea in a weird place. The memories had been a lot before but now, having lived them in a way, if only for a couple days. They wanted nothing more than to forget about their past lives and forget about the last few days. “It’s exactly the good type of trip. At least not for everyone. Rumor has it some people lost their senses for a while It was pretty fucked up.”

“I’m sorry.” Rhea Theresa said. They tapped the person’s shoulder. “Do you have any idea what’s going on? I can’t quite remember how I got here.” Or where here was. They’d done their best to stamp down the panic that rose within them when they came to in a strange place, around strange people and technology they’d never seen before. “Are we in danger? Have the Russian done something?”
