“Did you just call me old AND boring in the same sentence? Now I am truly crushed.” Thor says as he pretends to be offended, he really doesn’t mind since the first part was the truth at least.

“Summer is the best season don’t you think?” Thor asks as he pulls the sunglasses off of his eyes. “We should do something to celebrate. What do you say?”

“He deserved to be punched then. No respect for anyone that would spill something over someone so they can grab them inappropriately. Men need to have more honor, but they continue to be disappointing.”

“Any day, really. I just want to get to training again, I hate going so long without it.” Bjorn was antsy without doing what he loved. He was rather overjoyed that Thor was offering to train him, he was so overjoyed that he was forgetting to ask Thor not to tell Daniel. “I said it already, but thank you! Thank you so much.”

“I know what you mean. You just get that urge to fight something.” The man laughs as he places a hand on Bjorn’s shoulder. He gives it a gentle squeeze. “No need to thank me, it is my pleasure to do so. It’s always nice to see others passionate about fighting — warms my heart truly. You seem excited.”

“What did he do?” Thor asks curiously wondering what the terms were on the man deserving it.

“i’m fine! i’m good. i’m way good.” scott shakes himself. keep it together. he can keep it together. he’s worked with thor a bunch now! but, somehow, he was still a little starstruck. “yeah… yeah, they need sugar because it’s high in energy. they’re so little, they need all the energy!” really? geeking out about ants to thor?! he was wrong, he can’t keep it together. “it’s… their favorite food. guess you can say it’s their just desserts!”

”If you are certain of that.” Thor says while tilting his head to observe Scott’s reaction. He lifts a hand to pull the blonde hair out of the bun it’s in, gaze looking back at the ants. “Do you feed them? You must if you’re passionate about their wellbeing.” He assumes as he really didn’t know that there was even a favorite food when it comes to ants. He learns something new about Midgard everyday.

“If they would like to see reckless driving it would be me if they ever put me behind a wheel. I am sure you were not doing anything like that. Do you want me to ride this fellow a talking to? I might scare him straight.”

“Would you? That would be great. It’s hard to train yourself, my moms always used to before they sent me here.” Bjørn was sure Thor already knew that, but he was still grateful for his help. “Noted. That really means a lot, thank you.”

Since Thor was close to both of Bjørn’s mothers he could have an idea of how their fighting styles would be. He can use that to assist in training him. “I would love to, just let me know what days or times work for you.”

Natasha watched the other; they must be joking. Surely they’re joking around no one would actually do something so silly as well as dangerous on school grounds, let alone out in the open. “Are you serious right now? What do you think you are doing?” 

“I was thinking it was harmless. The kids are just having fun.” Thor says as he gestures to the children who were nervously waving at Natasha. He might not be a teacher here, but he makes his presence known.

“You know how the mortals can be — probably terrified at the thought of what we can do.” Thor knows that he was right, the world full of people who didn’t like those that weren’t like them. “Ha! Imagine having to grow up attending a midgardian school. I think I’d be rather bored.”

“Most of them, yes. It’s hard to train here, apparently swords and spears make people nervous.” Bjørn was visibly relieved at his reaction, letting out a chuckle. “A wedding? Oh, no not for a while I’d say.”

”You know if you ever want to train I can help you out. I’m pretty good with a sword.” Thor doesn’t use it often, but he has enough experience to give him some good sparring lessons. “I’ll be waiting — no rush on that, you’ve always been like part of the family.”

all he sees from his perch on the ground is feet trampling ants, not who the feet belong to. “well, wouldn’t say protector, just like, caring soul?” he shrugs and glances up to the voice, finally registering the fact that — holy shit that’s thor, that’s the god of thunder, thor. “i, i—” he’s suddenly hyperaware that he just told the god of thunder to watch out for ants. as if the god doesn’t have bigger things to worry about. “yeah they’re, they’re pretty strong have you ever seen them carry sugar cubes? they love that stuff, they’re— great.”

Thor may be clumsy SOMETIMES, but destroying creatures for no reason wasn’t on his agenda. Every living being was important, and besides the God can tell how important they are to Scott. He flashes a smile when their gaze finally meets. “Are you alright?” Which was his first question as the man stutters. “I have not, but that is remarkable. Sugar their favorite food?”

“aw, no, come on,” there’s a frown on scott’s features as he watches a line of ants get disrupted on their way back to their colony. he knows the world isn’t very kind to the effort of ants but his empathy for them after spending so much time working and living with them is pretty high. “don’t bother them, they’re not bothering you. look, see, that one’s carrying like, half a cookie. that’s super impressive, isn’t it?”

Thor steps around the ants best that he could. “I did not see them down there. You are their protector? I am sure that they’re glad you’re here to make sure that they get back home with their cookie. I have never seen an ant carry such a large item.” Thor doesn’t look at the creatures that often to be fair.  “It is very impressive.”

“Whatever you say.” Not that Rhea had much intention to followed the advice. Careful went against the philosophy of ‘do now, think never’ that they had adopted over the past few years. “No on in their right mind would turn down a snack break, just lead the way.”

“Someone would have to be foolish to turn down such an offer. It’s good to keep your energy up.” Thor admits as he starts walking toward where they were keeping the food. He doesn’t view himself as someone that knows everything, but he was at least knowledgeable about good food.

“I’m good, adjusting to Midgard is interesting.” Meaning, Danny was all Bjørn really liked about Midgard so far. “I’m lucky I love Daniel so much, it’s somewhat overwhelmingly different here.” He doesn’t realize what he said until after he says it. He doesn’t even know if Thor knows, so he just gazed at him for his reaction.

Thor nods — “Midgard is interesting. It’s forever changing, but the people here are nice. Some of them anyway.” He chuckles, but then stops when he hears that confession. “You love my son? Should I expect a wedding?” There’s a smile spreading over his face though.

“Well yes I can throw lightning at people, but that’s different then what you do.” Thor points out win a chuckle — it has taken him awhile to fully master that part, but while he is THE GOD OF THUNDER — he loves to punch people first. “Are we playing twenty questions?”
