“Peace and quiet has only ever existed in the pack lands when none of us are around—therefore it’s incredibly infrequent.”
“Sure it’s the norm, but not all seethes are exclusively vampires,”
"I," Daire began, clinking his glass of whiskey ever so gently against the woman's to accentuate the word, "wouldn't know. But now I do."
...
"No...the day I end up on the dance floor is the day Bess packs up her gun and becomes an exotic dancer."
Daire chuckled as he sipped his drink. "Good luck trying to refuse Kenna. She's determined."
"Yes, I'm rather fond of the way she turned annoying men in to pigs,"
"And do you plan to keep up that tradition?"
"I could never turn down such a polite invitation to dance,"
Daire laughed a bit at that. "Awk, don't pretend you don't know that I'm on a mission," he mused, offering her his arm.
"I did run the risk of nobody recognizing my costume tonight, unfortunately."
"Well that was.....unexpected,"
"Awk don't give me that. I gave you fair warning."
Outside the Merriwick Inn
"Yes. Stumbling upon us is, I would say, how most people find us,"
"I didn't mean to offend you by saying that. Was just a bit of a surprise addition to the landscape."
No...
"I'm a tiger. Rawr."
"I do hope you're a bit more ferocious than that when it counts then."
"That's exactly what I said. I've met Welsh people who would punch you for saying shit like that,"
"God help 'em if they ever said the like to a Scot. You'd be battered in seconds."
"It's true, at least in my experience. You can always tell if the foods going to be good or bad in a place by the smell of the coffee,"
"That right? Hmm... and what does this coffee tell you?
"Is this where I get lectured for my lack of expertise?"
"Don't know what you're getting tilted at me for. Was just an honest reply."
"But I...." He sneezed, and shifted. Leaving a tiny little mouse on the booth bench.
Daire tilted his head to confirm that Bryce had landed on the seat safely before breaking into a soft chuckle. "I don't know that any of us will every get used to that."
"I'm afraid you'll find a great deal of Irish people to be fluent in sarcasm."
At Hektor's
"No, I can't say I've heard that before."
