"Oooo! This is really good!"
"It's easy to be when I mean every word," she replied in turn. Mallory playfully rolled her eyes at her friends changing of the subject, and the accusation that she'd been doing just that. But it didn't stop the faint flush making her cheeks even rosier than they already were. "I don't know what you're talking about. We were just two people dancing together for the first time. Absolutely nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing apart from the fact he's a complete dreamboat, and I feel I could quite happily drown in his eyes,"
Adeline practically beamed at the sight of the blush on Mallory's cheeks then, and it only deepened from the comments thereafter. "You did look very dreamy together, I must say. I daresay he'll be calling on you again tonight," she declared with a playful wiggle of her shoulders. "And if he doesn't, I might give him the hint."
"Don't tell me things like that!" she said, laughing. "You know I don't need any help from you to read too much into things," it was only partly a jest. She did tend to me quite the romantic thinker. It had lead to more than a few heart breaks and disappointments over the decades. "You wouldn't dare," she said laughing again, "Actually you definitely would. Maybe I should recruit Fenrin to distract you from it,"
"Well I can't think of a single person who would have looked as good in that dress as you,"
"You're such a darling, do you know that?" Adeline replied with a beaming smile, taking Mallory's arm. "But don't think you can steer me away from asking you about that man you were dancing with. I could hardly tear my eyes away from you two."

"Well I already had the ears naturally, so it wasn't much of a jump for the rest of the idea."

Slow Dancing
At the Animal Hospital
"Its been pretty busy here lately with it getting colder. I have been working with Hiro to expand and make a pet resort so people can board their pets when they go out of town."
"That's amazing! Do you have a news letter or something I can sign up to to know when you open? I don't go out of town all that often any more but it'd be nice to know there was somewhere good this one could come when I do," she said of her pure black cat she'd brought in for her yearly check up.
At Poppy's Brews
"Ah, well, I am off duty at the moment, sure. Unless someone tries to drop dead of a heart attack."
"I guess that means you're permanently, unofficially, on call. Ready to save the day at the drop of a hat,"
At Hektor's
"No, I can't say I've heard that before."
"It's true, at least in my experience. You can always tell if the foods going to be good or bad in a place by the smell of the coffee,"
"It is, isn't it?" she agreed with a smile. "That's entirely my fault. I went into a bit of a work cave with launching the new line of gins. How have you been?"
"Oh, I see. Well, if it's been an isolation for the sake of interest rather than tortured frustration, then I'm happy for you," Adeline replied genuinely. "I've been in somewhat of a daze since Magnus' party, admittedly. I keep playing the night over in my head."
"There might have been a little frustration but mostly just excitement to get it all done," Mallory admitted. It was a passion project though so she didn't mind even the little bit of frustration. "You should come over one evening and try some, give me your honest opinion," she suggested. "Oh?" she turned a little in her seat to face the other warlock. "I'm sensing there's a story to tell here,"
outside a cafe
"Oh of course, please do. It's far too nice to sit inside isn't it," she said moving her bag from the seat next to her.
Gryffin took the seat gratefully. "T-thanks." He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck wearily.
"No problem," she replied, then after a moment of noticing added, "Are you alright?"

"Well...my darling. I suppose you are right. However the glitter tends to melt when its too warm out."
"If only you had magic to prevent it," she replied a touch teasingly.

"It smells." He replied pointedly not sitting down.
Mallory frowned up at him, "What does?"

"And a nice sort of spot for company," Adeline added with a smile, taking the offered seat. "I haven't seen much of you lately."
"It is, isn't it?" she agreed with a smile. "That's entirely my fault. I went into a bit of a work cave with launching the new line of gins. How have you been?"

Klaus took the seat with a nod in her direction. He hadn't been intent on speaking to anyone, just stepping out from the art gallery for a bit. And this woman was sitting at his usual table outside of the corner cafe, yet he felt intent on keeping up his place and was too tired to argue. He pulled out his sketchbook and pencils before shooting her a look again. "As long as it isn't raining, I don't believe I much pay attention to the weather... or deem it interesting to talk about."
"Oh, I suppose that's fair enough," she replied not really sure what else to say to that. She glanced at his sketchbook, "Are you an artist?"
"Oh Mags!" she gave her friend a horrified look, "I'm fine and I'm so sorry! I'll pay for them,"
"I swear I'm a walking disaster this morning,"
"Oh, I won't hear anything of the sort, don't be silly," Magnolia replied, handing a damp rag to Mallory to try and sort the bit of icing on her clothes. "A little spilled cake will hardly spoil my day. Now, you sit down while I clean this."
"Dreadfully clumsy sort of day? Or are we talking something more sinister?" She teased, kneeling down and brushing up the scattered cupcake remenants.
"But all your hard work. The looked so lovely," she lamented, taking the cloth from the fae. "Thanks," she started to wipe off spots of icing but paused when Magnolia suggested she sit now. "No, I should be the one cleaning it up," she insisted.
"Definitely just the first I hope," she said with a small laugh. "I think I need a very large, surgery coffee if this day stands any chance of being salvaged," she started to collected the bits of cupcake that had managed to make it an impressive way from the disaster zone. "It's my own fault for staying up too late last night, but enough about my silly little problems. How's your morning been?"

Setting Up Full Moon Tavern
"We aren't open yet but I'm definitely looking some help for when I do open up. Interested?"
"I'm not, sorry. But what I am interested in is being one of your suppliers,"
