“The wishwall is up! Ready for all the poor souls who’ve been left behind down here.”
This is the Pharloomblr/Hollowblr community Wishwall, run by @spectroacha or, in-universe, a bug named Sceich. It is intended to be used as a kickboard for inter-blog interactivity, roleplaying scenarios and story arcs. One submits a wish and, after due verification, it is put on the board for anyone to claim (unless a specific character is requested of course.)
The Wishwall format is as follows:
Category is a loose descriptor of what kind of wish it is and what those who take it have to do. Wayfarer for example includes travelling to retrieve something, whereas Hunt (or the more luxurious specific-individual Grand Hunt) is tracking and battling something. You are encouraged to use the in-game wish categories but are free to have unique ones.
Commitment (CMT) is a 1 to 5 meter that measures how much those involved with the wish will have to partake in it’s completion, to help distinguish smaller wishes from larger, more major ones. 1/5 Commitment for example could be a quick exchange or single, self-contained reblog chain, whereas 5/5 Commitment would be something of a grand adventure in itself. Generally speaking, anything that might involve dice or other factors (such as the WARble system courtesy of @warblingcritter) should count towards Commitment as that requires understanding of rulesets or other factors outside of basic Pharloomblr roleplay.
Stakes (STK) is much like Commitment as another 1 to 5 meter to measure the seriousness or consequences of the story being played. 1/5 Stakes would make a slight, perhaps largely unimportant difference, whereas the dreaded 5/5 Stakes could include such things as character death or other major changes for those involved. Alternatively, Stakes can go in reverse as negatives to establish particularly silly or crack-fic-esque storylines.
Description is pretty straight forward, as the main summary and description for the wish and what it entails. These should be written in-character as the bug sending the wish, generally speaking.
Tags are pinged blogs at the bottom of the wish, typically in brackets after a signed name. Main/muse blogs should also be included (if comfortable) next to these especially for higher Commitment or Stake wishes, mostly for direct-messaging purposes (more on that later)
Example Wishes under the cut, but this blog and post may change as I figure out how to run this thing. You can submit wishes either as asks or through the seldom-used submit posts feature. Wishes will also be reblogged by this blog as they advance or are resolved (feel free to ping this blog during relevant developments). I also recommend reblogging the wishes on the associated blog itself, to spread the offer further (i guess you could think of it like getting wishes from characters directly rather than from the wall)
An important note (just in general but especially for wishes with higher Commitment or Stakes) is to direct-message the blog or muse to let them know you’re interested, what the wish precisely entails, how to get it started and if there’s anything inside that you might not want to get involved with. Close collaboration is key when building stories together.
General fandom etiquette is expected, and offending wish requests may be jossed in the inbox. Other than that, enjoy using the commodity the Wishwall provides.
